as another source of data, the Windy app is pretty good as it is more visual and has multiple forecast models. I use the wind/gust comparison and the airgram displays to see what the different models reckon on cloud base and density and for telltale signs of when a change might happen. With this info and observations from the aircraft I find it easier to plan the day, especially when the weather is marginal as it is much of the time in the UK
