Hartlepool Headland Storm Damage.
Storm Babet hit the uk over the period of 18 - 21st October 2023.
This is the damage it caused to parts of the Headland at Hartlepool.

I know the seaweed looks bad but they might as well wait until the storm that's supposed to be with us in the next few days has been before clearing it up. Marine drive though - that's a disgrace and heads should roll for it. Thank goodness the Victorians knew what they were doing.

Great video Mick , have to say how the council at Roker had teams of workers and equipment out as soon as the weather subsided to get the place clear for the public however Hartlepool just don't seem to bother 😢

Perhaps the storm was a one in fifty year occurance, but it defeated the sea wall. This kind of thing used to happen in Blackpool until they replaced the wall with a much more sturdy one.
This is a brand new wall though, and it's been happening from the outset I believe.
When i watch this video time and time again all i can think of is brown envelopes in back pockets.

When i take a walk down the beach towards the headland to see my family and see the crap coming off the sea walls it makes my blood boil.
