I was just thinking if the idiot`s at PD Ports had left the Heugh to just fall apart as they where going to do. I can just imagine the damage that could have been done to the port of Hartlepool with the weather that we have been having lately. I laughed when PD Ports said that they monitored the heugh once a week YEAH RIGHT. If they did they must have been wearing selective vision glasses from Specsavers.

Nice video, the total refurbishment is costing £4.2m of which a third is being provided by money allocated to the town. What return if any are we getting for the £1.4m of public money

Paid for this to be fixed 4 times, on average it lasts 6 weeks before coming away. Is there a metal upgrade or alternative handle you can have fitted?

The signal for the train will not be cleared unless you get detection on all four barriers are down. The other thing is, the road signals are integrated with the railway signals so causing a traffic jams on the road when a fault occurs. We got called to the barriers many times to fix the fault and reset the barriers. BTW, there is a camera at the crossing and the barriers where controlled manually at Clarence road signal box, but that is gone now and I think they are now controlled at Gateshead.
