  • This POV episode is from a short weekend in Barcelona last month with the Ricoh GR IIIx. I managed to practice some street photography between the eating and sleeping of this short break from work. This is a bumper episode, but hopefully it's an easy watch for those that stick around until the end.
    Subscribe to keep up to date with my POV walks and street photography journey. I'm enjoying the challenge / reward of practicing more frequently.

    Great video and photos. It really goes to show we don't need cutting edge equipment to produce amazing shots. Although GR series ain't cheap lol

      Indeed, the simpler setups can be freeing.

      There's no city designed quite like Barcelona! Thanks for watching ~

    What a beautiful city! Places I have never seen - not surprising as I have only been there once before. Looks as though you are taking more interest in the people than in the architecture now, although it always was the interplay between the two.

    Really inspiring pics!! I also got one gr iiix recently and trying to figure out the settings. Would you mind sharing what focus mode were you using in these pics and what mode do you mostly use? Thanks!

      Cheers! It is a bit fiddly to start. For the majority of these images I used single point focus (roughly in the middle - focusing first then reframing) with AF-C wide tracking. I use the snap focus for closer, faster moving subjects. A good example of this is in my London B&W video.

    Thanks for sharing! How are you holding your gopro? Any amazon links?

    • @po.ntandshoot
      @po.ntandshoot  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No links right now, but will do in the future. The first half of this video I used the GoPro magnetic / backpack clip (easier, on the go method but skewed on one side). The second half I used the chesty mount (centred view, better to capture the camera, but a lot more of an effort to wear + makes one stand out more). It's useful having both, but I use the clip more.

    Lovely shots! Do you ever wish you had the GR3? One of the many debating between the two

      No regrets with the 40mm because I usually shoot wider on my X-Pro 3! So it's nice to cover both on different systems...which one are you leaning towards?

    • @Kitisgood
      @Kitisgood 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      i dont own either but i know you can also get wide angle convertor for the iiix so that could work as both

    • @rebours
      @rebours 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@KitisgoodI think the wide option is for the gr3, the gr3x has a telephoto option, and these aren't interchangeable between the two cameras.

    hi @Mark, did you edit the result of photo?
    or is that originally from the ricoh?

    • @po.ntandshoot
      @po.ntandshoot  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! These are edited with a Ricoh film simulation preset in Lightroom. I've also made a few other minor tweaks to highlights / contrast.

    Do you prefer x100vi or griiix ?

    • @po.ntandshoot
      @po.ntandshoot  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A little too early to say... but it's got to be the x100vi.
