I think this is on purpose, since Commiefornia just passed laws against selling or buying any apparel with gun or firearm themes to or for children. If I had kids, I would buy it all for them.

Check out the TSS 10 G most powerful as having owned the Ithaca Mag 10and the 12 G 3.5. I have to say it is a powerful load. Especially when it comes to slugs buck shot and turkey loads..

I have had my Roadblocker for 20 years. It lives in the safe for the most part since shooting it is so expensive. Thank you so much for reminding me how much fun it is to shoot. GREAT VIDEO

Got a deal on this Ithaca for $200 dollars 12 years ago and it is still one of the best purchases I have ever made. Alot of fun to shoot but dang the Ammo is more and more expensive every year! Great Turkey gun!

10 gauge needs to be featured more often in media and games. 12 gauge is cool and all but 10 gauge is a literal beast of a round!
ironically 10ga is used because it fits less lethal riot control rounds
Since the introduction of 3 1/2 chambers in 12 GA 10 is viewed as obsolete and not really catered to like it was 20 years ago.
@LabRat Knatz aah what we refer to around here as "punt guns". 10Ga isn't in that category around here and is still legal. We have some hunters that still use 10 and I personally have been hunting a 10 for my little collection for about a year now.

Actually no one. The shotgun gauges we have today are just the ones that survived. There used to be several more than what you commonly see today.
2ga, 4ga, 8ga, 10ga, 12ga, 16ga, 20ga, 28ga and 32ga were all available at one time. Then there's also the 410 which is the only one that I can think of that isn't a gauge.

@@elementalist1984 4 and 8 gauge still exist in industrial applications. tripod mounted 8 gauge shotguns are commonly used to shoot scale off the walls of forges while they're still running.
@Eric Nunya I remember that about the 410 now that you mention it, I didn't want to mislabel it. And yes the 28ga and 16ga are still available though I'm not sure if they're still manufacturing the guns. I was simply listing the ones I could remember off the top of my head. I'm fairly sure that I missed one or two

Those intros are always pretty funny. I actually almost died from laughter when I saw terminator with predator head. And those drifts in the end. Like in Tokyo.

Over the course of the years I've seen some pretty damned horrific injuries from shotgun wounds.
There's a reason they say get a shotgun for home defense because at interior ranges an attacker doesn't stand a chance in hell of survival

Hey again pal in worryed about how I see TH-cam there's normaly dislikes regardless you night be getting discredited in veiws when your challen becomes overly vewied it it can become a legal TV channel was and still is the whole point of TH-cam and I naver see and commercialas lately and the commercials your channel can be paid and you would be given a you tube wallet and a cyber bank account im not sure if in still invested but I was in 2008 my cousin Christopher gave me a small part and now we're in the 20 20s were sapose to have paid commercials and how many people watch ur videos will see a commerical and depending how many commerical your challel shows and you can also alows TH-cam to make a commerical for ur channel as well and after ur channel grows you can get a tv show and if u want you could get sponsored by TH-cam and they would simply ask you to wear or make a brand that says sponsored by TH-cam you could have a professional channel if ur willing that's what TH-cam is actually meant for

@@jessemartin9786 a little over a year ago his .50 cal sniper rifle exploded when he shot it due to old ammunition that caused too much pressure to build up. Metal fragments went through his neck and he had to shove his thumb in it to suppress the bleeding while his dad drove him to the hospital

The slow-mo of the three shells was amazing.
I could only imagined, how if those 10 gauge shells were fired in full-auto... The slowmo capture would be epic to say the least!

I must say that all the slomo shots were absolutely luscious.
One critique:
The sprinkles, since they were all multicolored and so tiny when they were impacted and spread out the color all blended together for the most part except when it started slowing down.
But the crayons were bigger chunks so the differing colors were very clear and obvious to see.
I think if you shot sprinkles again it would be more colorful if you actually got one of those 2 opposing color sets of sprinkles.
Like bright green and purple. Something like that

I had a Roadblocker back in the late 70's, it had a grey phosphate finish a 20" barrel and plain walnut furniture, weighed 10 lbs 4 oz and had a magazine capacity of 2 rounds of 10 Gauge 3 1/2" Magnum. It was said the gas system was designed to reduce recoil. It was powerful but the 3 round capacity was definitely a minus (Ithaca replied that the shotgun was not considered "drop safe" so duty carry made it a two shot riot gun which left most people cold!) The bead sight was too high for anything but slugs. Magazine extensions could not be used as the gas system wouldn't allow their instillation. Mine was stamped AZ. D.P.S. on the left side and was filthy when I got it from J. & G. Firearms a wholesaler in AZ.. The shotgun was not very well liked, it was heavy, clumsy (difficult to deploy from the inside of a Patrol Car) and was most reliable when kept clean and well lubed. The killer in my department wasn't the 2 shot magazine capacity, it was the availability and cost of the 10 Gauge 3 1/2" Magnum ammo. Other than some Federal Copper BB Shot, it was almost impossible to find buckshot and slugs for the big 10; and when you found some it was super expensive so training went to crap and individual officers were unable to practice drills at all. The females in the department were unwilling to train with it citing weight and recoil issues, accusing higher ups of discriminatory practices (it was much the same when we were considering adopting the S&W Model 58 .41 Magnum Revolver as the duty sidearm!) At the time Ithaca and it's distributor was selling the Model 37 D.S.P.S. in 8 with shot rifle sights and parkerized finish and we switched to that as our duty shotgun to universal approval. In the end they went to the Mossberg 500 ATP & Remington's 870 Express' because we had a ready supply of 12 Gauge 3" Magnum ammo from the State Police and the Ithaca's were 2 3/4" shells only (until the Model 87 came out.)
It was designed to be a goose gun so it didn't need more than 3 rounds and believe me it could reach out and get some gooses
I Not an expert’s in guns but why not put one shell in the chamber and then load the other 3 to have a total of 4 shots?
@@fallvec1423 Nah. 2 in the mag, the 3rd one is in the chamber for a total of 3 if you are willing to leave one in the chamber.
how was the reliability of it? I have read that it had problems.
@@fallvec1423 Because it wasn't "drop safe" according to the op, i.e round in the chamber would likely fire if gun dropped/knocked very hard.
Now we know that a convenience store ain't a good place to hide from a ten guage! 😂

Always bring a backup table when Scott's on the range. Sometimes an hour into filming, you need a backup for the backup table.
I was working at a trap & skeet at the time the Mag 10 came out. It was almost more of a curiosity than anything else, people would shoot it a few times and then go back to their 12 gauges. It did smoke the targets pretty effectively, but the only thing I can think of that flies that you'd need a 10mag for would be a condor, and they ain't legal. That slug would be good enough for any American big game, and quite a few African, that's for sure.

Watching the rapid fire in slow mo (firing, extracting, reloading) reminds me of watching an automated artillery piece in action (looks very similar).
I actually had a 12 gauge 2 3/4 shell on my desk in front of me and when Scott held his in his fingers, i realized just how large this man's hands actually were.

Fantastic work as usual, Scott. If I might offer an idea for that awesome shotgun: retro tacticalize it! Ian at Forgotten Weapons recently did a video on semi-auto shotgun owned by a LEO back in the day and he had given it a tube extension and a old school optic sight, looked awesome. Perhaps try the same with this beast and I had an extra suggestion: a Cutts Compensator for it. They made those and they look mean as hell.
Small update: Apparently from what I could find is there's no Cutts Compensators for 10 gauges. I'd still take a look at the classic 12 gauge one and see if you can get a gunsmith to make you one for that beast and turn that Roadblocker into a real monster.

LOL, Hey, btw, glad you got that kind of arm/shoulder strength:) I have a double barreled /black powder 10 gauge that we loaded up to the max recommended by the Mfg for 000 buck, took a deep breath, I touched off both barrels at the same time. Gotta tell ya, I've NEVER even thought of doing THAT again! OTOH, the pattern it threw against this old outbuilding I was shooting at, was IMPRESSIVE though it took a fair bit for the smoke to clear enough for me to see it, and only a few more seconds for it to collapse. LOL

Hey Scott I have a suggestion for a video idea. I love how you test the limits of how much a gun can take before a catastrophic failure. I always wondered how much rust affects weapons. So! My idea is, what if you pick 3 guns (your choice) and let each of them rust differently i.e one with little rust, one with more, and one with a lot of rust. I'd love to see how much rust a weapon can have before it's not viable. You could compare them to one without rust and see if having a little rust is okay or not.

I don't agree with the merch idea. I do agree that more parents should educate their children about gun safety and things like that. And I do agree that we should be educated about guns rather than fear them. But these new merch products are directed at school children who will be taking these things to SCHOOL. Nowadays with the State of affairs and all of the bull crap going on. Kids are being expelled just for even mentioning a gun in schools. So I don't think it's a real good idea to send a child to school with notebooks that literally have the word ballistics on it referring to a channel that is all about guns 🤷🤷 just saying. Depending on the school your product might actually get somebody expelled. Don't think it's a good idea. Maybe market your products to gun toting American ADULTS and not children 🤷🤷 and leaving that responsibility of gun education and gun safety to the parents to do in an at-home setting.

Ithaca sold the Mag 10 design to Remington, who continued it as their SP10.
Still a heckuva design, a shame it didn't catch on better like the Ithaca 37 and 87, but it's still a favorite among the Goose gun crowd.

I've always heard that 3" and 3 1/2" 12 gauge shells were developed to sort of replace 10 gauge and larger shotguns,can you do some comparison between the magnum 12 gauge rounds and the 10 gauge?

Now, years back, I had a fellow worker describe a double barrel pump-action 10 gauge with two amo tubes under each barrel and a selective trigger. Called it a room-broom. I call it right up your street, grin.
