I saw those two freight trains passing each other and that was great, but I couldn’t help noticing a marker of a United States Marine Corps leatherneck named M.L. “Jack” Guinn. Wherever you are, think you for your service.
Tier 4 SD70ACe on the rear on that UP train. Those empty flats on the BNSF train are equipped with rails on them for transporting rail capable MOW equipment. The first on was equipped with a folding ramp for loading and offloading MOW equipment directly to the track.
Thanks Keith it was over cast that day how was the temps up there? Nice seeing that T4 on the rear of that first train. Love hearing the horns in the distance as it rounds that curve. Quite a variety of cars on that second train. Lot of ties good to see they are maintaining the lines keep all this goodness rolling.
Good question I am often asked. Basically, a manifest freight train has a mixture of car types and cargoes. Also known as a Mixed Freight Train. Thanks for asking!
Terrific captures of the Union Pacific and BNSF manifests rolling through.. Nice snag on the bonnet too !!
Thanks my man. Always appreciate your support!!
