And by the way, thank you so goddamn much man, I want you guys to know that what you're putting up on youtube is the kind of stuff that feeds families and makes the world a better place. Knowledge is the peacefull kind of power that changes the world gently, and for the better. Educate us stupid fucks and you better the lives of all around them. and for the love of god don't stop making videos, theres people out there who desperately need this.
Thanks for taking the time to do this. Just starting a cnc class and was overwhelmed by lecture in class. Came here and get to replay stuff to understand it better.
I'm starting a new job soon working with HAAS CNCs coming from the glass industry working with very basic 3-axis and user friendly CNC working centers. This video really helped me out and gave me confidence that I'll be able to pick this up quickly. Thank you for posting this
although I do appreciate the work and effort that went into making this video , the sound quality and picture is very poor . you should consider making it again with something better than your grandpaps VHS camera. I WANTED to watch and learn the buttons but just cant seem to hear it well and eyes cant focus on your video that is out of sync with the audio .
I work for family using a mill and lathe to produce gears and parts, and have recently come upon an opportunity to work for a CNC operator with a Haas machine. This is a treasure trove and I've rewatched your video multiple times and have taken about 8 pages of notes. Can you give me some advice before I start working for this guy, man? How do I avoid fucking up this guy's beautiful machine, and how do I go about educating myself appropriately? If you had a dream apprentice, what would they be looking out for and paying attention to? Do i need to buy a whole darn machine to get my grubby paws on that owner's manual? Should the manual be my new bible, or do you have any good reading material for an aspiring tech?
@metalskirmish I've added a link below to the Haas Website for the current machine manual. Best advise I can think of when starting out is just don't rush. Slow the rapid overrides down and watch your "distance to go" display. If you see your tool 1" from the part and it says it needs to travel another 5" in rapid you are able to stop a crash before even touching the part. The manual is a great resource to have, it will help a lot if you are familiar with the contents. Good Luck! www.haascnc.com/owners/Service/operators-manual.html
Hello. I have a question. My Haas cnc machin has been stopped working and when fitter tried to fix that he turned off the machine and removed battery.after all we lost all the settings on this machine.what can i do?
Hi, is there a way to turn off the alarm after the car has finished the program? I know there is Reset but I would like to know if there is a way to eliminate the continuous Beep Beep that the machine does at the end of processing.
Not sure what portion of the video your question is related to but I could have been referencing either the right arrow cursor button if working with the VPS templates or the ATC Forward button that will call the next tool to the spindle. Hope that one of those answers your question.
@@gcodeprogrammer7695 Thank you for answering! I meant the button below next to the word "spindle", in the machine i work on there is "fwd", "stop", "rev" - spindle. In other machines its written "cw" So this button move the spindle forward right? In a counterclockwise motion?
@@ameensn2846 Yes that is correct. Spindle FWD would be the same as spindle CW. When the FWD button is pressed it will turn the spindle on at the last commanded RPM in the machine.
Actually there is a proto trax manual/cnc mill that runs on Windows. someone said it is possible to somehow use an Xbox controller with it but I don't think it would do much
The Haas classic control is the worst control in these type of machines. That’s so isolated and operator is not able to work on it. Because of HSM codes and serial number.I wish I bought hidden hinge
Because you do not basics of CNC machining if you knew a little at least, you would have thank him for clarity and nice pace on de-mystifying the haas control.

@Lazar Nicu Try changing setting 39 to turn off beep at M30.
Thank you.
Sound Volume is very low.
Thanks
Is Haas superior to okuma?
Button fwd what does it mean pleas?

Can't someone just make this control to work with a PS2 controller?
Hell they come with a controller now
Actually there is a proto trax manual/cnc mill that runs on Windows. someone said it is possible to somehow use an Xbox controller with it but I don't think it would do much
coooooool
Voice Out of sync ?

atleast you could aim more at the machine rather than an interview
The bad: voice is bad. Cameraman thinks he shoots a Western for the wide screen. Focus!
Content is good but the quality is low. Haas needs to do better. Terrible sound and lighting.
Can't hear the video dude! Pointless!
This guy is the most boring trainer I have ever watched. I’m sure he knows his stuff but I would not let him train,
Because you do not basics of CNC machining if you knew a little at least, you would have thank him for clarity and nice pace on de-mystifying the haas control.
You barely can learn, badly audible, poor quality overall, no much encouraging in what he demonstrates.
He knows his job trust me, take this for an experienced engineer with 3 engineering degrees 3 fields combined.
Thanks
