Manmohan Singh's policy on Kashmir was the best. But the uneducated who came to power after him did not know any better. I am surprised that almost nobody compares these two policies.

It seems that the pricing power of the oil cartel may continue to weaken due to an increase in the energy efficiency of engines and gradually picking up EV penetration.
One major factor contributing to this decrease in demand is the rise of electric vehicles (EVs). According to Bloomberg, EVs are already displacing 1.5 million barrels per day of oil demand, and this number is expected to increase significantly. The International Energy Agency predicts that by 2030, EVs could reduce global oil demand by 5 million barrels per day*.
Additionally, improvements in energy efficiency have led to a decrease in the amount of oil needed to generate GDP. For example, in India, only 0.7 lakh tonnes of imported oil are required to generate 1 US$ billion of GDP in 2021-22, compared to 1.6 lakh tonnes in 2001. This trend may also be occurring in other parts of the world, as the fuel efficiency of vehicles has improved worldwide due to competition pressure.

Amit ji, Seen and the Unseen fan here finding you on TH-cam. Instantly subscribed after hearing your voice
BTW the mental image I had of you (going by your rich voice) is quite different to how you really look. I guess I was biased to imagine a young rebel akin to my situation at the time.
Interesting story: I forgot the name of your podcast (as well as your name of course) because I used to listen to you about 6 years ago when I was in Ireland. I just remembered two episodes' topics which I felt were unique to you. I searched "what's that podcast on Indian Medical Council I used to listen to in Ireland." Lo and behold Gnani Google gave your website as the first result!
P.S.: the other topic was food inspections in India

Hi.. like the interviews so far :) Constructive feedback - intro has white font colour but in some shots it is not well contrasted from the background.
Good luck for working out the video format..

@9.06.. 7x in 50 years which is $11 to $77.. the CAGR will be 3.96%.
I have a question about global warming and carbon emissions. How did the Ice age end? 20,000 years ago, half of the Northern Hemisphere was having ice 2 and a half miles thick (Burj Khalifa is half a mile). Around 13,000 years ago there was the Younger Dryas which was even colder. Without any carbon emissions, the ice melted. So is carbon emission the only reason for global warming?
Just to add one more thought. There are at least 75 to 80 volcanoes (Ring of Fire) constantly spewing gas and Co2 into the atomsphere everyday. And one volcano gives out more carbon than the factories do. Swamps, dams and open mines also generate more carbon. Whom do we tax?

And then you take out inflation so the real growth is a lower number.

The anchor is not aware of the vast and very popular and effective Sadbhawna programme of the Army in Kashmir. It became so effective that the erstwhile separatist combine Hurriyat Conference (now dead) organised major campaigns to resist it and denounce it.
It seems to me that the anchor has been reading too much of the leftist content on Kashmir. The Leftists continue to be hard at work in Kashmir motivating and provoking Kashmiri Sunni Muslims to stand up against the Govt of India. Unfortunately for them the people have understood their game and have been ignoring them completely now.

Do you really think that the people of Kashmir are with the government of India. If the government of India is sure about that then why don't they restore democracy there and hold elections. Why house arresting the opposition leaders in kashmir. Just giving one example of a program (and not even giving proper statistical information whether it was successful or not) u can't dismiss the points that were made by Amit in the episode. The army/government might have done a good job in eliminating the insurgents but they have totally alienated the population of kashmir in doing so. Everyone wants peace at the end of the day, and the army/government totally failed in bringing normalcy. Kashmir is not a normal state.

@@arnabkundu114You can't call the elections "fair" after a huge chunk of the population is geno cided. If that's the case, I'm pretty sure BJL can win Hyderbad elections as well, once the mu*lims move out of Hyderabad. Demographics play a huge role in elections because more often than not,the oppressor class(here, the Pakistani Settlers) do not recognise their privilege
