You can tell the cast had fun filming this
Yeah, Word. 😂
I remembered this movie being a lot cheesier when I first saw it but I went back and watched it again not too long ago and damn if it isn't actually a solid action movie.
The cast were pretty believable as SWAT officers. They had good on-screen chemistry and they clearly trained a bit since they looked like they actually knew what they were doing for the most part.
Scary thing is that Samuel Jackson( or nick fury nowadays) looks and acts just like every instructor ive ever had.
He played this role perfectly.
Indeed. Hard and difficult when he needs to be to hit home the importance of a task, but chill as heck overall, and especially when the task is achieved. Doesn't hesitate to praise the team when success is made. Love it 😀
@@crazyman7671 i completely agree with you. Perfectly said
Movie had such a good soundtrack.
The breach entry at 1:53 great GREAT tactical movements. Love this movie.
Looked like they let Sanchez take point too
When you tried to find the whole movie but end up watching this
I bought the movie a couple weeks ago at a second hand store. I must of seen this movie at least 10 times previous to that.
Russ Abrahams Wow! You must really love this movie.
It’s really good
Bruh I though it was a show LOL
Its on netflix
Wow. It took Nick Fury recruiting Bullseye, Letty Toretto and Sam Hanna to be able to reel in Hawkeye
That fall on the steps 😂😂😂😂 I love this whole movie 💯
Former USAF Security Forces Leader here. Man I miss breach training and CQC training like this. Stressful at times, but man it was loads of fun
Thank you for your service. 🙏
“The S.W.A.T is a life saving organization not a life taking organization” rip Duncan Lemp
This was released back in 2003, whilst the LAPD was trying to get over the fallout of the Rampart Scandal - it makes sense that they would try to use this as a way to improve their image a bit.
But a lot changes in 15 years.
@@draco84oz yeah.....a lot been changed

@@badger3286 Then why do you comment? Your level of stupidity and inability to think is astonishing.

Finally a training scene that they're actually good at
The moment you realized Agent Fury recruited Bullseye to hunt Hawkeye.
Yeah! Mindblow!
Brooo lol
And aided by Sam Hannah and Letty.
Bruh
Director Fury.
Sam Jackson is a treasure, nuff said.
Not seen this movie is it good?
I would argue it is. It's a cop movie, so you have to go into it with certain expectations. It's not radically different from most cop films, but it is well directed and has a decent script. I would say it's worth a watch.
@@paulinvagny6848 You should watch. Colorful characters, solid script. Jackson and Farrell lead a strong cast. Twist in the movie I will not say. Yes, watch it.
Coach Carter too.
Nuff? Dear lord, help me
Damn it came out in 2003 and the quality still looks good.
What do you mean by "still looks good"? It was shot on 35mm film like every other movie in the last half century. Were you expecting it to be worse?

@@idontlikecops1 Just Because by Jane's Addiction.

0:15 i never noticed til now how annoyed street looks that she didnt check properly, and how even more annoyed he is when he gets "shot".
like "damn woman open your eyes" lol
The woman did not take Street hand in 0:51
I never liked her character. She was trying to act tough and show that she doesn't need help, but she screws up at times like 0:15 when she doesn't even clear the room properly.
I don't want to have a coworker that toxic at work.
2:35 I guess if I was deaf I wouldn’t know you were here 😂😂😂
In my humble (most likely under informed) opinion, the gun sound effects from this movie that came out in 2003 are better then most of the stuff we see today. To each their own tho.
I think they used blank-guns to do it but if it was cgi, I would love to meet whoever edited all this
It’s more the sound engineering effort. Even in movies that use blank guns on set, the firing sounds rarely come from on-set audio recording. They are almost always added in in post production. Capturing good gun sounds requires good separate audio recording sessions with either blank or live guns though, and most studios are simply too lazy to put in the effort on that anymore.
Most of the time they just use some watered down sound from a generic sound library, or just create completely synthetic sounds that they think “sound cool”.
The 90s-early 00s were really the golden age of movies in a lot of ways. There was enough technology for the films to have that modern, polished look that stills holds up today, but they hadn’t yet completed abandoned things like practical effects and good sound engineering in favor of the lazy, low quality digital post production techniques of today.
Anyone else still wondering how that game of sniper poker works?

well i'll be damned so this is the origin of the swat show.
Not exactly this movie and the new tv show are both based on a tv show from like 1975
Damn it's almost 20 years ago since I'd seen this in theaters with mom lol it was my birthday month too and NBA Street Vol 2 on the ps2 was my life 😂

So is the new S.W.A.T show a tribute to this. The shows main characters have the same names. Hondo, Deke is Deacon, Street, Chris...
Gamerswag the new show is actually a remake of the original tv show that this film is based on
@@adamthebulldog2738 yup. from the 70s
dkroll92 that’s the one not sure if I would call the new show a reboot or a remake more of a reboot
Another fun fact, the driver of the SWAT truck in the ending scene of the movie is the original Hondo from the ‘70s

We have nick fury training Sam Hanna ,letty Ortiz , Bobby Cobb and Travers Robert Goff

L.L Cool J looks so young
I know it’s a movie but.... Sorry... I refuse to believe LL Cool J knows anything about playing poker in Compton. He’s still a cool dude though.
i watched this movie when CS 1.6 was a big thing
"Beats 4 aces in Compton any day"...Is he saying that even with 4 aces you wouldn t win a card game in Compton because they will pull a gun on you? Someone care to enlighten me?
Micro 13 the other guy had a straight flush . 4 cards in perfect ascending order (1-4, 4-7 etc) and all of the same suit and I think it requires at least a 10. the only way to beat a straight is another higher straight (9-queen beats 8-jack) or the legendary unbeatable royal straight flush 10, jack, queen, and king all one suit
@@darthrevan4933 I am a total poker n00b, where does the 4 aces joke come into this? Thanks for answering tho
Micro 13 despite being the equivalent of a 1 an ace is one of the highest single cars in poker depending on the exact rules you’re playing by a pair of aces can even beat a pair of kings (which is equivalent to a 13)
Needless to say having all 4 aces is a pretty extraordinarily hand
@@darthrevan4933 I see, still don t know why that joke was meant to be funny, but the poker side makes sense now that you explained it man.

I wanna watch Swat just to see LL.
Just read trivia from imdb, apparently this movie would be like reunion of Fast and Furious cast(some of them) because the first pick for Street and Deke were Paul Walker and Vin Diesel but their turned down the offer because Paul was in the middle of FF2 and Vin with Riddick movie.
That grenade on minute 3 is a new advance model, instead blowing it self, it blowing a nearest rocks or a round of pile of something
I said to myself these are all the same names as the swat show damn it i want to watch it over again god damn it swat the movie
I just realized this is what the TV show with Shemar Moore was based on.
Alexander Wood The movie is based off of the TV show of the same name from the 80ish time. The tv show Boxer is watching when they get paged (for the “Polish”subject) is the original show the movie is from. I believe the truck driver and the older SWAT team commander (appears twice I believe) was in the original show

heeeeey fake grenade, you can clearly see the explosive where the grenade lands also the cables that link it... at 3:00
Because I believe in you my blood brother or sister
Take a look at 0:36. Notice the body language and demeanor of Tj's character? I almost wonder if the actor was trying to foreshadow that Tj was going to go rogue. Did anybody else notice that?
Not just that but every time you see him he's in a fancy restaurant, drinking fancy wine, wearing nice watches/sunglasses. It hints towards him wanting the luxurious things that he can't afford on a police officers salary.
@@Rowrin Agree. His 30k a year salary won't pay for those.

Yeah Anthony I think your right. That's what I would say too. It's a very common workhorse a lot of law enforcement use. It looks just like mine anyways lol.
Christopher Johnson lol Remington 700 has always been the go to rifle for military law enforcement and civilians for a long time. I personally have a Remington 700 in .223 sadly but man it shoots true.
anthony keener
Yes, for sure man. I have one in the 243 cal and also a 7mm rem mag. They are all awesome tack drivers! Shoot straight my friend.

I was planning on getting a .308 700 but I made a purchase for a howa 1500 in that caliber. Damn I love it. Only thing I can complain about the Remington trigger is it's stiff as hell. The howa has a 2 stage trigger and it's crystal smooth. Next purchase will be a Savage 10 with the A5 stock.
