Hi, I saw another AHRS above your panel, is like an Stratus?? Wich one do you think is more accurate. I am thinking to buy an AHRS but I don't know wich one. I am using Garmin Pilot and Air Navigation Pro on my Ipad mini, but Garmin only work with their products, iLevil work with Air Nav Pro. Thank you very much.
That's right - this is a rental plane, and the owner keeps a Stratus in it. This Stratus is the type without AHRS, though, so I can't make any comments on how it works versus the Garmin. I do know that GPS and ADS-B in the Stratus works well and is comparable, though.
Great video, I would request that you make another video and use the split screen that you used on this video from 2:28-3:52 of the six pack. I caught myself using it to scan and to resist the temptation to look the outside view. Great practice for days that I am at the office and unable to go flying. Thanks for the video.
Great, I guess that's my next investment ... Do you know my audio checklist system "smartCHECK"? You should like that :-) Check my website www.airwork.biz/smartcheck-checklist-app-en/
Sail Boat I'm not familiar with the 162, but if it's Garmin glass then it would look similar. The iPad app is simpler and presents less data than the real thing.
Fabian Martinez Hi, the Garmin GDL 39 3D provides the traffic data to the tablet. It also provides FIS-B weather, GPS, and AHRS for the synthetic vision.
Hey, thanks for taking your time to respond. I'm in the process of deciding if using my ipad as a navigation aid, or should I just stick to a garmin area. I see that you fly with both, why?
Fabian Martinez I think the Garmin panel mounts are the best, and of course those are what I primarily use. But I like the iPad as a backup and for preflight planning. I use Garmin Pilot, but ForeFlight is good as well. I've used the dedicated handhelds like the 696 before, and they are very reliable, but the iPad does a lot more.
The AI looks correct, though not as accurate as with a real, certified AHRS. Or are you referring to the slip/skid brick? I think it's a little less accurate, as it was showing a half brick off all the time (which I don't think was actually the case).
Outstanding, James.
That was awesome! Now you need to update it with the ADS-B input/presentation!
That was a very awesome demonstration! Thanks!
that was pretty accurate! nice video.

That's kewl
MUCH better than Foreflight
Sir, What is the PFD in your panel? (Sorry to change topic from the original video)
Hi - it's an Aspen Evolution PFD.
Thank you sir!
Will that work on an iPad 4 mini? I understand that a GP subscription and the GDL39 3D is all I need?
cherokee592 yes, correct on all points

is synthetic vision just like the panel on a cesna 162?

Hi, what do you use to show the traffic in the Garmin Pilot app? Thanks!

How did you get that airport chart under the map?
That's a Garmin Pilot feature. It will do split screen so charts, SafeTaxi, flight plan, etc, can go on the other half of the screen.
Is it just me or is the turn indicator indicating opposite of the direction you are turning ?

I have the same question - they go opposite - can someone please explain - it is very confusing when watching it :(
@@a627m1124 He has it backwards in the video, you can change the pointer from ground based to air based in the settings
Don't mind the prop it gives throttle setting indication.
great video, but please get a prop filter, makes the prop invisible.
Thanks! I did get one recently, maybe a month or so ago. It does help.
