I visited Largo for the 1st time the day before Helene hit, I flew into Tampa because the other airport don’t fly in from Boston, but it was still a short trip to Largo. I went alone to visit a friend to go see a concert in Tampa that was canceled but I still wanted to go. Any excuse to visit the state I absolutely LOVE! I was thankfully in a no flood zone. I got to swim/jump the waves at Indian Rocks Beach & had so much fun. Everyone was so friendly! We stopped at 5 different pubs & restaurants. The prices were less than up north. The day after Helene was very sad for everyone along the coast, terrible devastation as you know. My husband and I have a house in Plymouth Ma right beside the cold ocean, see the sunrise every morning. We grew up here and love the seasons, except winter. We can’t decide whether or not to sell our house & buy in Fl or what to do. Hurricanes are intensifying every year it seems. It’s so hard because his job is in the demolition Union and unfortunately he couldn’t find anywhere in Fl to transfer too. Now we’re stuck waiting another 4 years until he can retire early at 55, & then we can finally make our dream come true and live in Fl.. Thanks for making informative content for people like us. 👍
Me and my wife stayed with friends for a week in largo….we would love to go back there but Milton is hitting there tonight I do think it will be the same for quite awhile.
Largo is expansive and a great place to live. LOW TAXES!!!!!!!! Convenient to so many areas around us. Admittedly, with any town, you need to know where to live.
Buy a home around Anona and the flood issue is relatively less than the rest of the city. Most if not all of the neighborhood is non evacuation zone too.
I serve on the Largo Planning Board. Our City was incorporated in 1905. We do have rules on Short Term Rental and I urge any residents to file a complaint with Community standards via largo website if they believe an Airbnb is illegally operating in their neighborhood
my water front home i owned here since 1979. i sold it..the area is so crowded now i cant move and have to wait in lines of traffic all day i couldnt do it. the owner knocked my house down and built an ugly mansion there saw it on google earth looks like a shit hole/
If you like boomers on harleys that moved to florida to booze the rest of their 15 year away, crappy mexican food, and mediocre burgers and dive bars. You'll love largo.

What’s your opinion on Mirada in San Antonio?
Largo is close to the PIE airport, and all of the beaches.
Is there any beaches that have 4x4 access?

Low TAX where? FL tax are more expensive than CA at this moment, food is more expensive too.
@@4allcollector I have a two bed 1 bath house with an added great room. On lake seminole and I pay just under $1,000 in property tax.
Largo tends to be a dump but it is higher in elevation with most parts being out of flood danger.
Largo is not a dump. It is a wonderful place.

What community do you have to buy a manufacturing home to buy? Thanks
There are a ton of communities with manufactured homes. Feel free to call and we can see what community will fit you best
I liked Clearwater Beach
One thing I’ve never understood… why isn’t there any good Chinese restaurants in Fl? In Ma the Chinese food is absolutely delicious!!!
Largo is not unincorporated. We are more flexible on short term rentals but we are a city with unincorporated Pinellas areas within our city limits

That sucks. I've lived in Largo for the past 40 years. What area was your old house in roughly?
How could a mansion be a shithole😂?!

I'm thinking about moving there from Eastern North Carolina and work at conmed
You may be going to the wrong places!
Just don’t
Largo is a dump, try Dunedin, Palm Harbor, or Tarpon instead.
Thanks.
