For civilians, Krav Maga is the best art to study if you want to learn realistic street defense against guns and knives. The Isralei army uses it and they don't waste their time on anything that doesn't work.
This. I can see why some Krav Maga instructors have been brought in to refine the weapon defenses because the ones shown here, specifically against the upward stab and gun threat to the rear are just plain bad.
you are right...many candidates who graduate from boot camp end up in desktop jobs, but I wonder if during a dangeours situation, the survival instinct can turn any half-sack soldier into a raging bull...or propperly said, A Devil's Dog...

Mcmap is a required thing in the Marines now. You have to qualify for your tan belt atleast.
