    I did it with a regular jack that comes with car kind of a hard time trying to hammer disk out. I took the 4 screws from the wheel bearing off and hammered the wheel bearing off the disk later. Thanks for posting this video Omar and take care

    I just worked on 2015 Nissan Altima doing the same thing as your video. Your video helped me a great deal in replacing the rear bearing assembly. Thank you for such a great and detailed video. Much appreciated...👍👍👍

    You should release the drum brake, it makes removing disc easier

    Is the front the same?

    • @omarlopez-eb2nd
      @omarlopez-eb2nd  ปีที่แล้ว

      Its a slight diferent rotor. But it's the same process, if that's what you qre referring too. The bearring should be a bit more challenging, being that you will need too remove the cv axle nut amd push in the cv axel with a rubber mallet, that way you dont hurt/strip the grooves on the axle. Good luck let me know your outcome.

    How do you change the dust shield ? Mine has completely crumbled from rust.
    Do you think that it's important to replace it? Thank you

    • @omarlopez-eb2nd
      @omarlopez-eb2nd  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well sorry for the late super late response.. It is required to keep dust away from your break lines or such behind it also heat can melt your lines so im pretty sure it's useful to have the shield there.

    My rear rotors are stuck on... any suggestions?

    • @omarlopez-eb2nd
      @omarlopez-eb2nd  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello and yes use a little WD 40 and use a wood 2x4 and smack it with a dead bold hammer. Leave a lug nut on loosely that way when it loosens up it dosent fall on your toes

      @@omarlopez-eb2nd Thanks! I got the rotor to come off... So yep I just had to hit it harder and a few more times. haha.

    I did a 2012 Maxima today and it was the easiest wheel bearing I have done in all my years of working on cars. Took 50 minutes even with gathering tools. Used Timken. Learned about the smaller orientation on top from your video. Had to hand thread all 4 bolts and then rubber mallet into place. I sanded opening of rust. 65 Ft lbs on bearing bolts.

      Hi Sir Sweetness. Glad too hear this video is capable of helping others, it is a pain in the rear too hand thread bolts 😆. God Bless like and subscribe. Good luck

    Is it the same process for the front bearing? Same make, model and year

    • @omarlopez-eb2nd
      @omarlopez-eb2nd  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Malachy jackson. Glad you enjoyed my video. It might be a bit tuffer for the front bearings, due to it being a front wheel drive. But not at all hard too DIY. Just make sure you dont stripp the rear bolts. Like subscribe God Bless you good luck.

    • @omarlopez-eb2nd
      @omarlopez-eb2nd  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If its super stuckjust keep putting wd 40 keep soaking it. Then hit it with dead bold hammer untill it loosesn up. Carefull not too strip the bolts

    • @omarlopez-eb2nd

      Also it can help to pry it off with a thin prybar and a hammer

    Never hit rotor directly with hammer. Use a block of wood instead. Unless you are replacing rotor.

      It all depends on your budget. I usually use the mid ones. It stops my cars as if it were the expensive ones. Duralast brother

      What i do to find out wich one it is. I have someone drive the car and i hop from passenger seat too rear seats. Usually its the rear ones first that start making the noise. Good luck brother thanks for watching. Like subscribe

      @cmontygman 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@omarlopez-eb2nd Theres another video I found that makes it easier to isolate the noise once you have a general idea of which bearings (front/back) but what you do is jack up the car,rotate the tire while you have your hand on the strut, if you feel any vibrations from the strut on your hand while its moving that bearing is bad.
