Its never too late for anything. We spend our entire lives learning. I personally dislike whenever anyone says "oh, I'm too old for this". No, you're not. Your attitude is the only thing stopping you.
+DaDarkGuy anything within reason...you're not going to shoot fireballs out if your hands because you want it either. I'm talking about people who have the misconception that there's an age limit when it comes to learning new things. An if an 80 year old wants to be an Olympic champ that bad, why not pursue it anyway? There's a saying that goes "shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.". He may not get there, but he can become a very fit 80 year old
Your brain loses the plasticity required to effectively learn new skills as you grow older. Other than that psychical constraint, anything possible... is possible.
+DDG yes, and your metabolism also begins to slow with age. But it still is possible to learn. There are 70 year old college graduates out there. And there are also fit 70 year olds - Silvester Stallone for example. Im not just being optimistic. It's fact. Yes, aging in life will present you with more hurdles, but it doesn't have to mean older people can't achieve what younger people can. That's been disproven enough. Btw no, I'm not an old man trying to size myself up with the younger generation LOL I'm 24. I've just seen enough not to assume age is a barrier for anything. Ever seen Ninja Warrior? There have been guys on the older side(40-50) who have actually beaten out their competition of 20 year olds.
I'm a professional illustrator and I'm fed up with people saying: it's a gift, you're lucky, I wish I had your talent, I'll never be able to draw like you. But your video is another proof that you can master something with one essential thing: WORK WORK AND WORK. Thanks a lot for the inspiration. You deserve to progress, you work hard! ❤️❤️❤️💪💪💪
Katikut talent is an aspect though Ive been playing Bass for over 8 years, and I know people who have never played before who can pick it up and play it as good as if not better than me in a matter of a few hours Working harder is fantastic advice, but there are people who are just naturally more gifted at things
Katikut people are entitled to say what they want. some people can't afford such luxury, others struggle to learn with learning disabilities. to say your fed up with those say they wish they could do this. some really can't. for instance. I can never continue learning more in college or university because I don't have the ability to learn more. I struggled in elementary and high school. so I think it's a bit harsh saying what you did because some of these people, you don't know their capabilities as well as they do. or the fact if they can afford it. I'm just saying to be a little more open minded and mindful of others who may not be able to succeed
I used to play piano and i would practise for an hour an a half or two hours every day and yet i still failed my grade four twice. I find people who can play music with ease and yes some hard work extrememly talented, but music is a talent. Some of us happen to do better than others and that skill should be appreciated.
What Day is it ? well, there are different learning methods... the only "gift" you can have is being able to learn more efficiently. and people can even improve on that.
I truly enjoy playing Violin. My husband, a professional violinist, taught me to play in 1997. I was in my early 40s, I am 72 now, and am still playing. Never stopped playing together. If you are a beginner, don't hesitate, keep in mind that the Violin is a difficult instrument to learn, but if you study daily, you will make it. Just, Don't give up. For me wasn't too difficult because I do play piano.... Good lock....it doesn't matter your age if you want to learn!😊 Good luck... Violin 🎻🎻 and 🎹🎹
Thanks for that encouraging word because I'll probly need it. Im a complete beginner and just got a new violin so I am hoping to be able to improve at a decent pace with my background in guitar
Wow, that's encouraging. I have a strong background in piano and flute and have always wanted to play violen or cello. They have always hurt my fingers so much.. Perhaps one day I'll try again!
I started playing violin at 24, but I didn’t stick with it... now 10 years later, I kick myself in the butt for not taking it seriously because I absolutely loved it! Now or never right?
I played piano for a year when i was nine. Last january i started again. I regret having stopped but i play now, a couple of hours a day. It fills me up.
When I had notes from internet- I hadn't much will to play. But I chose about 400 nice songs that I like, and now I'm playing them from my hearing ( not from notes but as I think that should be- just like, if you sing ) . And now I play about 2 hours per day when then (as I sad) played very little.
I've never understood why people believe that if they didnt learn to play as a child they never will. If you want to learn ANYTHING. Then go for it!!!!!!!
Briana Foster But also not the time because as a child you have got a lot of free time so it's easy to spend it with practicing. As an adult you probably have to work, do the household, maybe also to look after your kids. So I think when you get adult and you haven't been learning an instrument yet you might see it as a hobby like collecting stuff and think that practice is a secondary thing. So most adults just simply don't practice enough and give up because if you don't practice you won't get achievements. That's why it doesn't make fun and seems very fast a waste of time.
It came from the idea that the brain stops developing when we become adults...I started learning the piano when this was still a thing and i had a few people ''discouraging'' me based on that. I proved them wrong! :D
Yeah, like I think I learn waay better now than I did when I was a child, back then I didn't have the patience and didn't take anything seriously. Now I feel like if I really want to learn something I just have to concentrate and now I know how to learn, as a child I didn't think that much. It's the same with studying, now I know how to study, I have developed some techniques, but when I was a child I didn't know and didn't care that much.
@@rosa3778 don't take this offensively but I am a violinist and i forced my teacher to teach me vibrato after my 3rd mind because of how impatient I was (I am 12)
I can relate. When I was a kid, my dad told me to play guitar (he's kinda stuck in his on manly pride) so I played guitar for six years. I got a job and saved up and bought my first violin. I just thought about how silly it was to have a dream that's so easily accomplished. I couldn't afford lessons, so I self taught. 6 months later, I got a chance to play on a stage. My first show, I had a crowd of around 600 people, I played a song by Dropkick Murphy's. After that show, I got in touch with a coordinator, who lines up all my gigs. I took up more instruments. Now I play piano, guitar, bass, cello, violin, viola, mandolin, and harp. All you have to do is take the first step.
But I can tell you that's it's a completely different story actually practicing consistently for years, it gets really hard to be patient and consistent, results come very late.
You've actually made me feel so much better about being a beginner violinist at the age of 15, because most of my idols began at really young ages. Thank you for reminding me that its never to late 🙂 ❤
It's easier to learn at a young age, but adult beginners who are committed enough can reach a very high level. I play viola in a professional orchestra (though I'm not a full-time professional musician), and I started at 17. One of my colleagues is a full-time professional violinist who started playing at 50 and went pro at 66 after retiring from another job.
I'm a violinist of 10 years, so I've known a lot of other musicians. The best bass player I have ever known didn't start playing until his freshman year of high school, but by the time he graduated, he had become so good that in his freshman year of college he was (and still is) the principal bass player of University of Tennessee. How did he get so good in only four years? he practiced for 5 hours a day, every day for 4 years
My dream is to play the violin and be known, that's why it's so beautiful I remember when I was going to take classes at school but the vacancies were over but I'm going to try again☘️
Ofc you should never give up on that dream you’ll be an amazing violin player if you keep trying now EHM EHM, im claiming my spot here before you become famous in 5 years Here
I badly want to try and learn playing violin but I don't have one. I asked my mom that if I'll do good in school, She'll buy me one. I've been studying real hard. You're such an inspiration! I hope once I'll finally have my own violin, I'll be able to play as good as you!

Totally inspiring. I've just started violin study again after 24 years...and it's hard. Thank you so much for showing that improvements ad up through practice!
I just rented my first violin to try to learn about a month ago. Im getting better daily, but this made me much more hopeful for the future! Thank you for posting this!
I played piano for 6 years and I'm still horrible at it. See guys, it's not about the age, it's about the passion. I didn't have passion for piano. Right now, I am 16, and I'm self teaching ice skating and with daily stretches, slowly becoming elastic. It is my passion, please wish me luck!
You're right, Passion is everything, i've 17 and I recently started playing guitar, I still suck on it but i'm practicing with all my effort! Good luck!
I am seeing that this women plays a violin using techniques that are taught later on. I think she is much further on than 2 years. Her speed & agility are incredible. Really talented.
This is so awesome!! I'm 23 and I started 2 weeks ago. Although, I am learning the Carnatic style, which is an Indian Classical Style. Thanks for the inspiration guys :D
You learn to play second and third position in 2 years and I’m recently learning second position in 4 years of playing the violin, this is admirable...
I left the violin for a year because of personal things, then started again in a music academy and they teach you second and third position songs after a year or 2 of learning violin.
@@dowonstar893 wow sad to hear this. That means they just prevent your progress to make sure you stay for a longer time learning violin. Really sad to hear this but also approving again that human are egoistic when its about money. Sry for my amateur english
My god, thats 2 years progression of being self taught while starting as an adult. It took me like 7 years to get that good, I learnt the violin from age 5 and had private tuition every week. Incredible...
It's totally different. Adults will learn way quicker and that's because children don't focus as much. Many kids play because their parents want them to. All adults play because they really want to. And that makes a huge difference. You could be practicing for hours on end with no real progression of you're not really into it 100%
@@vitorfernandes4428 that is so right! i played violin for 3 years as a kid (10 to 13) and at best i was maybe as her at 7months. I barely practised. I had 2-3 lessons a week, and i played at home only like 30-45mins once a week, plus i didn't give a shit as i wanted to play harp or piano and not violin, but my parent's couldn't afford these instruments. motivation is a massive factor, and you still as an adult can become really really great in a couple of years no matter if you start in 20s 30s 40s or later.
So it is possible to be self taught! I've been told countless times I won't go anywhere with my violin without lessons but I mean I can barely afford a violin, we're in the middle of a pandemic so I'm determined to teach myself xD
I have bought my first violin today. I've always loved the sound and wanted to learn. I do play guitar & piano but I'm not particularly good, just knock out chords and jangle the keys. I didn't play much for over the last ten years or so. Then a friend bought a nice Ibanez electric guitar. It felt lovely to hold and the action is nice, this inspired me to get myself a similar guitar. I have really gotten back into playing again and got a portable electric piano a few weeks ago. My work colleague and I were putting rubbish into a bin and found a violin. We talked about how we wanted to learn and ever since I have thought about it until I caved in and got one today :-) Seeing this long lady progress has inspired me this evening. I will get lessons so as to not develop bad habits or technique. Great video :-) many thanks x
+LilMissTravelPants online lessons only give you the brief guide, whereas the tutor will show you where you did wrong, or show ways of improvements (exercises to improve the left hand for example)

this is amazing!!! i was feeling really frustrated today with my violin but after watching how much you improved in not much time i feel better. i always see people saying you need to play for like 500000 years to sound good but you sound amazing after just 2!!!!!
SR Real saxophone is one of the easiest instruments to pick up but one of the hardest to master. If you can growl, I consider you a pro because, bro. That stuff is hard. (Also if you can growl do you have any tips?)
I just started learning the violin. I also don't take classes and I just watch youtube videos. Thank you for inspiring me. I hope I become like you as I work hard and practice more.
i’ve been playing the violin for over 10 years now ( i am 15) and it is so incredible that u learned all that in only two years. i remember some pieces u played and i just wanted to say it’s so amazing to see your progress !!
How about your progress? I bet that you are way better than you were when you first started. I would hope so at least. May I ask something: how long did it taje to get calluses on your fingers and when did they quit hurting?
@@patriciajrs46 hey i think i started getting calluses after like 4 or 5 months but it probably depends on if your doing sports or not. if i train for a long time they still hurt but your fingers will definitely adjust to playing. sorry for my english i’m not a native speaker.

I’ve been playing for 9 years and my best advice is to be patient. It takes years to develop a good sound, but once you do, you won’t want to stop playing.
I have been playing the viola for about 2 years now and this is so inspirational to watch! I see your progress and i think to myself, "If i work hard enough, i can get to where you are." Thanks you. I really thank you.
Dancing Turtle this is true. I have been playing guitar for a decade and just recently started to practice every day and I have learn more in the last 2 years than what I learned in 8 without much practice
Great video - it was brave and generous of you to share your early efforts, even now that you play so very nicely. Other people starting out will be encouraged to know that those awful sounds they produce at first are just something everyone has to go through! (Although I still sound like that some times, after plenty more than two years trying). The other thing that comes across in your video is the beauty that can be produced and the joy you can get producing it, even if you are not at a star performance standard. It doesn't have to be about being a world-beater - once you start making nice sounds it's just an endless joy to keep learning more.
You honestly should, it’s just my opinion but guitar is really easy and fun once you get used to it. I play guitar myself and I have played since I was 7 i have been playing in 8 years now. So don’t give up, the first step is always the hardest ;3
I got a guitar a few months ago, literally didn't know shit about music, didn't even consider it an instrument I would play. I got it simply because I wanted to learn with my cousin. It's now been about 7 months. I still barely know anything. But it always makes me happy to tune to open d and play some blues licks. I impove slightly everyday even though I'm a procrastinator. Learn at your pace, I hope you'll have fun in whichever endeavour you follow.
I was 16 when I took my first violin lesson, I remember that I was a bit envy of the little kids because a lot of people say that you have to start the violin very young to play it well, but that's a completely myth, I met a lot of people who started adult and plays in the orchestra, If you keep telling that you're too old you're never going to do anything, depends a lot if you have natural talent and how much effort you put to it. I'm not impressed with the result you got because I already knew you could do it, lol
gersonhdezm I had always heard the same thing. If you aren't playing from childhood on you will never be really good. I dreamed of being a violinist as a child but mum said a violin and lessons were not in our budget so I never learned. Such an inspiring video and your comment is so true. Think it's time to find a good violin and get started.
Schweineloeffel I started with a violin that costs like 600 pesos, that must be like 35 dollars hehehe, very cheap, if there is something you dont understand send me an inbox and i see what i can do, good luck
This motivates me a lot. I just got a violin two days ago, I am still learning how to read notes, but so far I can play Ode to Joy and Bella Ciao. I watch adult beginner progress videos to motivate myself to learn and hopefully I will improve :)
I got a cheap one today and have been torturing my neigtbours for the last hour by just trying stuff out. Felt like just five minutes, was so much fun 😅😁
This young person is so inspiring!!!!!! She must have worked extremely hard to be that good that quickly. Two years ago I found myself with a lot of time on my hands and a fear I was running out of time to learn the things I had always wanted to know how to do. So, I went to Pinecrest and youtube to teach myself those things. Knitting, wood carving and whittling, felting, embroidery, French, crochet, sewing, stained glass, wreath making, gardening and metal detecting and magnet fishing. I'm not an expert in most of them. For Christmas my parents bought me things I will need to start working with leather craft and my husband bought me a violin because I want to learn that. I turned 40 recently and I've come to realize that you don't have to be good at things to enjoy doing them for no one but yourself. It's never to late to dabb,e in the things that interest you.
Electric violin is easier cause you don’t have to worry about sound quality as with the acoustic one you have to make sure it doesn’t squeak and screech. So I really recommend you practice on the acoustic one
@@partharai6784 because you should first master the acoustic one and then the electric so you can rly play and wont have any trouble when you have to play with an acoustic one + better sound when you learn a good vibrato on an acoustic violin

I have a violin in my closet and it's been sitting in my closet for almost 4 years now. I wanted to learn violin, and I joined my middle schools orchestra, unfortunately we had to cut the program and I only played for 4 months. (I was in 8th grade) and I never played again. I am now a senior in high school and seeing this has made me want to learn to play again :) I probably will one of these days once I have free time.
Please do it now. You're very unlikely to get more free time once you're out of high school. You'll have to make time for it anyway, and (even if it doesn't feel like it, I know) it's probably easier to do that now rather than in a year or so, or even later.
Nice job! During the last half of my senior high school year (1994) at Walhert High School (Dubuque, IA), I picked up the violin and taught myself for a few days. The following week I was in the school’s ensemble. We played musicals, at galas, for the school Mass, and other school functions. Mr. Dave Resnick, the music director, even gave the solo part in the musical “Bye Bye Birdie” to me. It was one of the best time of my life. Thank you so much Mr. Resnick for giving lending me your violin and for giving me the opportunity! That was nearly 30 yrs ago and I haven’t touched the violin since but this is giving me inspiration to learn it again.
I'm turning 40 in 45 minutes. I want to learn so badly. I wonder if I can pick it up. I have dabbled in music in my adolescence and I have a great ear. I think there's hope!
it's never too late to start something if you want to do it - there is nobody stopping you from achieving it ^^ so get to your music store, grab an instrument and enjoy the gradual journey of sucking less at something ;)
I am a violin teacher and have played the violin for 10+ years. You made me cringe so hard when you bent your wrist and pinkie on the bow in the first few months! You did very well. I hope you continue!
My neighbor having a loud party Every night now it's their time to listen to me playing like a dying cat for their entire days .... I hope i get better on it.. Update: i know it’s might upset some of you guys but I haven’t start my lesson yet again because of the new hit of covid 19 in my country so i have to give it up and move back to my home town and probably not going back to that neighborhood( i had enough of them ) but im looking forward to try to have a violin lesson again and moving to a better place to stay. Hope me luck guys or maybe hope my new neighbors luck. 😅😂🥲
Me too. I wish I could find something to do that didn't seem pointless, but once you start to get old things like learning an instrument or really anything just seems pointless.
@@kadochan5777 those "hacks" are actually very useful because a beginner will see where to put their finger and after a while will learn muscle memory and wont have to look to know where to put their finger.
Go for it! Violin is very hard and tedious to learn in the beggining. Its really hard to get a good tone on the violin. If you want to immediately be able to play something nice try the piano :). And don't worry about age! At 18 your brain is still young, only half-developed :).
I just bought one yesterday I'm turning 18 this december Anyways, I have a question, I actually want to be self taught, will it be possible or a teacher would be a good option?? I Personally like the self teach one, so does anyone have any suggestion about the do's and donts?? And any recommendation for preliminary lessons?? Just for the information (Maybe it's unnecessary but still) :- I have total five years of experience in guitar(fingerstyle:- 3 yrs, first two yrs:- plectrum)
@@emancipatedconsciousness3512 Hi, cellist/ pianist/ former violinist here. Definitely don't try to teach yourself violin. It's very technique heavy and you need to have very good intonation, which can take time to build up so you need someone to correct you. If you learn bad technique, it can be hard to fix and will probably cause you harm. I self-taught myself piano for a bit because I could already read music and then got lessons so I started lessons at a higher level, but my teacher had to correct my technique.
Do it ! Age has nothing to do with learning an instrument, it's only practice that counts. And in two years' time, you'll be playing it, whereas if you do nothing, in two years' time you'll be thinking "what the hell have I been doing all this time not trying to play it? It's too late for me now" and it's a never-ending loop ! So make sure you break it now ! I'm twenty and i'm learning piano and guitar for the first time ans it makes me so happy an proud of myself !!

Dali Llama
I agree. Hurdles come and go - dedication makes up for it (mostly!). :)
Katikut talent is an aspect though
Ive been playing Bass for over 8 years, and I know people who have never played before who can pick it up and play it as good as if not better than me in a matter of a few hours
Working harder is fantastic advice, but there are people who are just naturally more gifted at things
Katikut When talent doesn't work, hard work beats talent.
Don't ever forget, passion. passion is what creates great things.
I played piano for a year when i was nine. Last january i started again. I regret having stopped but i play now, a couple of hours a day. It fills me up.
Go for it!
GO FOR IT QUEEN
When I had notes from internet- I hadn't much will to play. But I chose about 400 nice songs that I like, and now I'm playing them from my hearing ( not from notes but as I think that should be- just like, if you sing ) . And now I play about 2 hours per day when then (as I sad) played very little.
I've never understood why people believe that if they didnt learn to play as a child they never will. If you want to learn ANYTHING. Then go for it!!!!!!!
Kassuhday they just dont got the patience
It's the same with studying, now I know how to study, I have developed some techniques, but when I was a child I didn't know and didn't care that much.
she plays piano that explains much
The fact that she persevered for 2 years.. that’s not common and it’s powerful. Kudos!

Hell, want to learn violin too. It's my childhood dream, but forgotten for many years
same!
Where did you get intermediate/advance sheet music? So hard to get it. You're great!! Cheers!!
Wohlfahrt Op. 45 book one has pretty good intermediate music. Always go with books of music

It's easier to learn at a young age, but adult beginners who are committed enough can reach a very high level.
You could be practicing for hours on end with no real progression of you're not really into it 100%
I am an adult too and I just started praying violin and I would like to know how she made it
@@vitorfernandes4428 that is so right! i played violin for 3 years as a kid (10 to 13) and at best i was maybe as her at 7months.

We talked about how we wanted to learn and ever since I have thought about it until I caved in and got one today :-) Seeing this long lady progress has inspired me this evening. Inspirational video for any beginners out there who feel like giving up after the first week because they sound awful.

Trust me on this first start in ukulele because when you start guitar it will hurt less and becomes a lot easier
Think it's time to find a good violin and get started.
gersonhdezm true
Schweineloeffel I started with a violin that costs like 600 pesos, that must be like 35 dollars hehehe, very cheap, if there is something you dont understand send me an inbox and i see what i can do, good luck
People think that music instruments are similar to gymnastics ... All have to be started at a young age 😁
gersonhdezm 600 pesos wow ang mura
This motivates me a lot. I just got a violin two days ago, I am still learning how to read notes, but so far I can play Ode to Joy and Bella Ciao. I watch adult beginner progress videos to motivate myself to learn and hopefully I will improve :)
Isn't she looking like Lindsey sterling
playin her music too
Yeah!
Perhaps she's a long lost twin🙄
I was going to say
landofmyth I thought the same thing, then she started playing her music!
honestly the only reason i decide to learn instruments is so that I can play meme songs...
Shuncey Balba your profile is a meme it self
Same
MilesAnimations oof same here
I have real passion towards classical music
Relatable!!😂
This video gives me even more the need to buy a violin.
It's better to lend a violin first. One of my best friends is playing the violin for 7 years and has'nt her own violin until now.
I got a cheap one today and have been torturing my neigtbours for the last hour by just trying stuff out. Felt like just five minutes, was so much fun 😅😁
2QT2BStr8 fun 😄
I just got mineee
@@leonelarosales3305 that’s amazing !
U said the electric violin is easier why do you recommend the acoustic then?
@@partharai6784 because you should first master the acoustic one and then the electric so you can rly play and wont have any trouble when you have to play with an acoustic one
+ better sound when you learn a good vibrato on an acoustic violin
@@somebodyoncetoldme5709 I mean I wanna learn the violin but I want a violin that you can plug in headphones to so others don't have to bleed from their ears..
@@partharai6784 well I don't think you can put earphones to an electronic violin :DD
@@somebodyoncetoldme5709 you can put headphones in! But even electric violins aren't completely silent. I have one, and still annoy those around me with what I call the "I'm kicking the cat" sound... lol
Wow this is amazing. That is not just practice, is talent and dedication. 3 or 4 more years and you can play at orchestral level.
Ha
Who else is a Two Set fan and got this in their recommended?
Nah! I got this in my recommendations while listening to Animenz
Two set
Me
Me!
Me!!
After month 7 you sound so good already. Well done. So inspirational
I've been at it with the violin for about 3 years already but I still can't do the vibrato. Seeing you encourages me to try harder. Thank you!!!!
Hayley Tran-Ho same here. It's been around 2 years and a half playing the violin and I can't do the vibrato.
Hayley Tran-Ho hey, it took me 3 years to do books 1-3 I bet you can do way better than me
Hayley Tran-Ho 2 years can't do vibrato but are going to learn. Sorry for the bad english
same ;-; but I'm only 12 so I have plenty of time ^_^
Hayley Tran-Ho dont worry guys i have been playing violon for 7 years and i am just starting the vibrato, but it will depends on your professors
This video helped me to understand my self.. though three years later after start playing violin I was like a beginner. So I motivated to become professional player. I practised every day many violin techniques and fix my mistakes in violin playing . Now I achieved it. Thanks a lot
How are you doing now?
@@isaacmorrow7077 far better.. I look back and see how my progress was
I have a violin in my closet and it's been sitting in my closet for almost 4 years now.
Carly Kennedy in the same boat as you lol
GET BACK INTO IT BEFORE THE COLLEGE BLUES KICK IN, MATE
Please do it now. You're very unlikely to get more free time once you're out of high school. You'll have to make time for it anyway, and (even if it doesn't feel like it, I know) it's probably easier to do that now rather than in a year or so, or even later.
Do it, Carly!
TwoSet gang where u at
yoooo

Here!
Ling ling here :)
"If Violin Noobie can play it slowly, she can play it quickly." - Ling Ling 😆
anime watcher, lindsey stirling fan, mario...fan, and Pirates of the Carribbean fan. Music tells so much.
Huh? I could tell the Mario bit and the Pirates of the Caribbean, but Stirling and anime? Which ones?
+Skinjacker she played some Lindsey sterling stuff and some songs from Fullmetal Alchemist which is an anime
Jolie Brooke Yes I was already quite aware. I recognized most if not all the tunes. Thank you though.
crap i commented on the wrong one.. srry
Malcolm we are soul mates
I'm turning 40 in 45 minutes. I want to learn so badly. I wonder if I can pick it up. I have dabbled in music in my adolescence and I have a great ear. I think there's hope!
M M happy birthdayyyyyy🎂🎂🎂
M M I can teach you
I don't see why not. I am 39 I am teaching myself.
M M remeber it's never too late to start something
it's never too late to start something if you want to do it - there is nobody stopping you from achieving it ^^
so get to your music store, grab an instrument and enjoy the gradual journey of sucking less at something ;)
cool
You made me laugh. Like hard XD
LOL, I wonder how my neighbors handle it
HAHAAHH
That picture of your'es and the name plus your text, killed me! X,D

Your TH-cam commenting is coming along GREAT! Don't get disparaged!
You're a human too.
Me too. I wish I could find something to do that didn't seem pointless, but once you start to get old things like learning an instrument or really anything just seems pointless.
Playing violin FOR 2 YEARS
The channel name is Violin Noobie
2 years is not that much when it comes to violin
Actually 2 years is a really short time for violin. She learned that short time bcuz she used fingerhacks. But to me, u shouldn't use them
@Thatgirl what are fingerhacks ? Can you please explain
@@sandragamal8727 probably those fret sticker things
@@kadochan5777 those "hacks" are actually very useful because a beginner will see where to put their finger and after a while will learn muscle memory and wont have to look to know where to put their finger.
This is inspirational. I'm 18 and i really wanna get good at an instrument, but i feel like i was too old to develop any serious reflexes...
Go for it! Violin is very hard and tedious to learn in the beggining. Its really hard to get a good tone on the violin. If you want to immediately be able to play something nice try the piano :).
And don't worry about age! At 18 your brain is still young, only half-developed :).
I just bought one yesterday
I'm turning 18 this december
Anyways, I have a question, I actually want to be self taught, will it be possible or a teacher would be a good option??
Hey there, you can definitely develop musically as an adult. I started writing songs in my mid 20s :)
