As a Spaniard I really love what you made, dude. I'm so glad and proud of this video and all the positive comments. Thank you all! We played great at this Eurocup with new young players with bright future... we'll come back!
It was nice to see them play. We begin to realize what an incredible generation that was, difficult to repeat something like this. The discreet results do not reveal the enormous superiority that Spain had. It had a bench that many national teams would have wanted as a starter. It will go down in history as one of the best if not the best national teams ever.
That was a completely unreal accident. Spain dominated that match from start to end. Had lots of chances on goal. Switzerland's goal was the result of an incredible sequence of bad luck bounces. The ball simply didn't want to go in for Spain, result was a lost match that had it been repeated 99 times, Spain, all been equal, would've won 99. But luck is still a part of the sport :).
Xavi was always consistently brilliant. In the 2000's, only play makers and box-box midfielders were given media attention. Gerrard, Beckham, Ronaldinho, Zidane, Kaka, Lampard immediately spring to mind. It was only after Luis Aragones changed Spain's playing style and Pep was appointed as Barca's head coach, deep lying play makers or the Regista were recognized as media worthy. The likes of Xavi, Pirlo, Xabi Alonso, Scholes had very few bad games in their prime and were insanely consistent. You can see this in the Ballond'or and FIFA POTY votings down the years as they are largely influenced by journalists. The early 2000's were dominated by Gerrard, Lampard, Zidane, Ronaldinho and from 2007-08 deep lying play makers started appearing on the listings more frequently and by the end of the decade people recognized the true importance of technical ability as opposed to sheer physical presence. I wish Scholes had this kind of luxury when he was shunted onto the wing to accommodate Gerrard, Lampard and Beckham into the English national team.

Barca players and Madrid players* the fans are toxic especially nowadays. But tbh the 2008-2012 was mostly Barcelona talent. 2014 was the death of tiki taka and 2015+ has been Real Madrid talent in Spanish national team
Casillas, Puyol, Xavi, Iniesta, Ramos, Villa, Alonso I mean all those players in their best age playing for the same country oh my god Spain was really the strongest back then they had everything in the squad
Anyone who doesn't mention Pique but mention Ramos from that era proves that he never actually witnessed it by himself. Pique and Puyol used to be main CB for Spain. Ramos became a CB only after Puyol retired and he wasn't good enough to take Pique's position as CB in the Spain team.
Imo this team was the most tactical and intelligent ever. They won 1-0 every knockout game in the 2010 WC, they weren't destroying others but knew how to score and keep possesion, the midfield and the 2 CB was unbeatable ! keep going the videos bro

This squad could've been split into two and they would still make it to finals and face each other. This is how good they were. I hope the current French team grows into similar prominence.
Nope that was not Del Bosque sorry. Aragonés was the one that made the "tiki taka" then Barcelona adopted it and only then Del Bosque took charge of the national team and continued with this style of play
@@dsanchomariaca Lol The heavily Cruyff influenced Barça already played tiki taka during the 90's. When Van Gaal was their manager they played the tone down version of tiki taka. Rijkaard Barça's played the same. Then Pep took it to the next level. Sacchi Milan's played tiki taka to some degree and even Arsene Wenger Arsenal of 06'-10' played tiki taka too. Luis Aragones adopted the tiki taka because of the La Masia product players at his disposal which he started to implement for the La Roja after their disastrous 2006 World Cup campaing. If it's anything, he didn't create but adopted from Barça.
it gives me goosebumps...thinking about all those world class midfielders, who just made it to the bench, because of the quality of Xavi and Iniesta, who were even better. I have to say that Andrés Iniesta in Spain is seen as a legend. Idk what they think about him in other parts in the world, but in Spain he's everything but underrated.
Spain has fallen because they got all their greats at one time and they all retired / got old at the same time. Now they have to wait for another generation.
Same for South Africa. We were 16th in the world and 1st in Africa when I was growing up, could beat Brazil and other top teams. Our captain was also Leeds captain, our top scorer was also the star striker for a Champions League winning team. Then all the legends got old at the same time and we've been a complete joke the last 15 years. I haven't seen any of our matches after we hosted the world cup

It was nice to see them play. We begin to realize what an incredible generation that was, difficult to repeat something like this. Fun fact: Spain is the first and only team that has won the World Cup after losing the first match of the tourney
And the champion with less goals on all the WC history
leaving New Zealand as the only undefeated team that tournament lmao
That was a completely unreal accident. Spain dominated that match from start to end. Had lots of chances on goal. Switzerland's goal was the result of an incredible sequence of bad luck bounces. The ball simply didn't want to go in for Spain, result was a lost match that had it been repeated 99 times, Spain, all been equal, would've won 99. But luck is still a part of the sport :).

I see more people praising Iniesta than Xavi. Xavi is the underrated one.
@Ivan Quintero Indeed.
