Single handedly??? Either you didn't watch the world cup or you are delusional. The Spain squad was the most well working team in the history of football. Everyone was a cog in the machine. David Villa was just the perfect player to pull the trigger and score the goals.
In order to strike goals and win the game, you need good defenders and midfielders who will carry the ball to you: the striker.
He didn't single handedly carried the team. He did his job good, just like the others.

It's Tiki taka Barcelona, just Casillas, Alonso and Ramos were from another team. It was no surprise they would be one of the most powerful teams in those years, it was like 85% barcelona players, the best Barcelona ever.
Its kinda funny how unbeliavably, unfathomably stacked the midfield is for Spain yet the best ever forwards they could put was Villa or Torres, no offense to them.
The Tiki Taka style of this glorious Spanish team was the most spectacular thing ever.
