It's rare that I have to make a pinned comment explaining myself, but I'll keep it short: If the title annoyed you, watch the video. This is literally a tribute to Spain, a critique on modern football fans and media. The title is pretty much irony, just watching the first few minutes of the video would be enough to stop anyone from leaving comments attacking me as if I was some random internet lunatic. Please watch, listen and enjoy, I have full confidence that this is a great video worth any football fan's time.
One of your better videos for sure. I really enjoyed the pacing and the way you tell it as a story, not just a documentary/news. Some people don't seem to understand what storytelling is lol that's all you were doing with the title, helping to tell the story
not a lot of people know Spain players outside of real Madrid and Barca that's a fact, they really are "nobodies" compared to France Portugal and England. doesn't mean they aren't good just not known
As a portuguese myself i can say Spain made the best tournament that i can remember , 7 games 7 wins they deserved this Euro championship more than anyone. Kudos to them .
Portugal have similar qualities to Spain in terms of how good your players are. But you are let down by your managers so far. That and the attachment to aging Cristiano Ronaldo..
@@Iron-Bridge Absolutely Agree. Sit Cristiano Ronaldo's old ass (bro, you had an AMAZING run, you've won so many titles, awards, time to let it go to the young kids) and put in Joao FELIX. We were SO pissed to see Cristiano Ronaldo's foul seeking ass taking the field when JOAO FELIX is a WORLD class player, in his prime, wasting away in the bench. I can't STAND when players like CR7 don't know when to step down. It's pathetic as well as a DETRIMENT to your national team. I"m ashamed that CR7 didn't have the wisdom to allow the young GREAT players to step up and earn their come-up.
@@Eitachi5656 I think Ronaldo not being on the bench is due to the criticism that will come to the manager. I mean the last manager to bench Ronaldo was sacked/stepped down because of all the backlash when they lost to Morroco. There is something going on because who lets a 39 year old play back to back 120 minutes without getting subbed out. Even when he missed that penalty vs slovania, they still didn't sub him off. There is definitely something going on.
@@Iron-BridgeI agree in the manager thing, the game we lost to kick us out of the tournmet was due to poor switches in the team. Subing Vitinha out when he was play like a lunatic to put in a defensive wall, and then deciding to take penalty specialist out right before the penalty shoot out, and puting our faith in felix, a player that has talent but the consistency of a stubborn mule. It was AWFUL managing throughout the tournment. The Ronaldo part, though I agree with the fact that he is indeed old and past his prime, but he still plays and adapts his style of playing to suit the team to the best of his abilities, he tried to create oportunities for goal, some were good, some were wasted, some were not great, but he wasn't play has he did before, he supported the rest of the team, he cannot carry us like he did before, but he leads the youngsters. We had 2 pilars in the team in tearms of morale, pepe and ronaldo, and they did their part. Yes he's past his prime, but he commands respect, it must shake you to your core that you see that number 7 shirt in front of you and you have to defend him. He shakes the mental of the opponent just by being there. NOW he should never be playing 120 min multiple times per tournment, maybe never, we have other players to take his place when there is nothing more to give. We have to stop playing for the penalty shoot outs, and that's what bothers me, fernando santos and now martinez both play the same football, just drag it out and pray for the best, and it SUCKS. Thank you for reading my TedTalk, sorry for the inconvinience
@@lolee-wx7nc For sure, they keep him in the field for 120 minutes due to fan backlash. But who is in charge of actually winning games? the fans or the coach? I don't remember the fans being punished because they wanted Ronaldo in the field and were eliminated from the Euro. I think It's the coaches' responsibility to make the appropriate call for the team regardless of what the fans want. The same thing happened to England and why they got kicked out of the Euro: They have Kane on the field when they SHOULD have had someone that was gonna give 150% AND also have his body do the same. I understand Cristiano Ronaldo wants it MORE than anyone else, but that doesn't mean his body at 39 still feels the same way.
Spain have won 4 euros England none. When are we going to wake up we’re no position in coaching to win. Premier league is a massive rip off for the average fans. Academy football needs to change. Most grassroots coaches and semi professional coaches in England are just commentators and can’t change mid game no intelligence village idiots ( stick to long wack it get it away from our goal shit me Pants) and I’m 15 stone bald white ex pro 😂 can bark like a dog ( fuck off) that’s what most English coaching system is about. The FA is more arsed about being a tick box organisation has NO culture.
Obviously with "nobody" he does not refer to Carvajal, Rodri, Pedri or Lamine Yamal, he refers to Nico, Fabián Ruiz, Cucurella, Unai Simón, Dani Olmo, Merino, Oyarzabal, etc... I bet absolutely nothing that you did not know them and they have proven to have the quality of the best team of Europe

Spain has had a philosophy of working from the lower categories for years. De la Fuente was Scaloni's teacher when he took the coaching course. He has also won practically everything as a U19 and U21 coach. He has been working with these players for many years. Spain was not included in the betting as champions but they have been the best team in the tournament by far, they have beaten 4 world champions. Many forget that it is also the best country in terms of results at the club level, with Spanish teams dominating the Champions League and Europa League. Others said that if he was lucky with Cucurella's hands, first it was offside. And anyway that doesn't change the fact that they deserved to pass. Kroos also had to see the red card for injuring Pedri and Germany only became restless in the final stretch of the match. Before that he didn't do anything special either. Those who later whistled at him in the semifinals only looked stupid.
Yeah the Cucurella booing was peak collective stupidity. Like, blame and boo UEFA, FIFA, the refs…anyone but Cucurella FFS 😂 He had no control over the trajectory of that ball until it hit his arm, had no say over the refs decision and didn’t write the rules in the first place.
@AbdilRaheem2750 he is a top coach, led Spain to silver medal in the last Olympics, the U19 and U21 European championship along with the last Nation's league and this Euro.
Cucurella needed more context in this video. Gary Neville said he’d be the SOLE reason why Spain wouldn’t win. Ended up being the best LB in the tournament. Great nonetheless.
That manager De la Fuentes conquered everyone because he kept playing their old football , they were communicating collectively in an amazing manner that is to say it's hard to press them and get the ball because they know how to keep it in their feet and they were like a symphony , moving the ball in all areas of the pitch and positionning actively with and without the ball , you don't find a spanish player alone , you always see and notice him surrounded by his teammates and they're close to each other so they can pass the ball and find each other. They're united.
They played like Barcelona, Manchester united, and with the Icelandic defence that made Ronaldo cry like a baby. He just plays boring none fancy football that works when no other team did.

It’s not just the coach, it’s about an identity as a team. Spain made a switch to this style of play in 2006 when they brought in Luis Aragonés to coach, he relied on the talent of players that understood positional play style attacking football, and because of the success he had the Spanish federation decided to implement this style of play at every national level and develop coaches. Fast forward 18 years they have won 3 euros and 1 World Cup, with different managers and players. So it’s not about the golden generation or the best coaches, it’s about having a footballing identity and a long term plan.
They're not nobodies just that most of Them don't have English PR 💀 Merino's father's goal was 33 Years ago btw, and Carvajal's red card action was necessary since the referee refused to end the match
seeing carvajal takle musiala with a mentality of 'Idgaf' because he wasn´t going to play the semis and the end of the match had not been whistled at minute 125 was beautiful
It was such a pleasure to see Spain win: they just played beautiful and attacking football, even when some of their most valued players had to retire through injury. Germany, France, England? While Germany at least tried, both France and England were absolutely dismal: 😩👎🤮💩. It is baffling having to watch teams with such great, once in a lifetime and valuable players ("They are worth every penny they earn and you have paid for them" - 🤪) being totally outplayed by real teams and offering the world the most turgid, boring and unkind way of football. So: thank you Spain, and may your future be paved in gold ❤ for as long as you keep playing beautifully!
I agree with you, but I thought Germany was the only other team in with a shot. Spain were magnificent, the other teams looked like they were out to destroy football as a spectacle!
Germany was the only team to take Spain all the way to extra time. For me, Germany was the second best team in the tournament, they just were unlucky to meet the champions early. Spain vs Germany should have been the final.

Spanish football & "nobodies" is peak mental health issue or just clickbait. For almost 3 decades now, Spain has produced both the best club sides & the best homegrown players in the entire world. Since the turn of the century, Spanish clubs have won 12 Champions Leagues, leaving just the other half for the rest of the continent. In the Europa League, again they dominated, winning 12 & also registering multiple finalists at the same time (Espanyol, Bilbao) finalists that only lost to fellow Spanish clubs. More to the point, they came up with the best and most successful national team in European football history (2008/12) Anyone feeling shocked over Spanish success in football needs their heads checked. The current team of nobodies: Dani Carvajal-> Starter for a 6-time CL winning side. Lamine Yamal -> The world's most promising talent. Rodri -> The world's best in his position by universal agreement. Williams -> One of the world's most promising, skillful and exciting wingers. Ruiz -> Starter for PSG. Morata -> Unfancied but world's most hard-working striker, marks better than most defenders. Pedri -> Starter for both Spain & Barca since 17. Olmo -> Regular for Bundesliga Top 4 side. Cucurella -> Wowed at Getafe & Brighton so much that Chelsea paid 70m euros for him. Nacho -> Winner of everything with Real Madrid. Plus, a handful of extremely solid highly rated and capable Real Sociedad players that turned out match ice-cold tournament winners. I'm sorry, but Real Sociedad and Athletic Club are not random clubs, there's football players outside of Barca, Real & EPL top sides.
You are indeed right. There is a trick in the title here: "international" (UK) football journalists and betting companies are filtering the sport reality that is shown to us.

It's a shame how these guys speak poorly of LDF😢 but these people will wank for coaches like Southgate even if he has nothing to his name asa manager...I hear someone said he wants lampard to be the new England manager😂
Perhaps the problem is that the English and the fans of their league have not learned that the country where their clubs win the most tournaments is called Spain. And the players who play the most in Spanish clubs are Spanish. They are only looking at the ones that the press put as the most important ones. Spain has great players, the problem is not how they achieved it, the problem is the blind and ignorant of those who do not take them into account. Spain comes from winning the UEFA NATIONS LEAGUE with that unknown coach and those unknown players like Carvajal, Cucurella, Morata, Nacho, Rodri, etc. hahahaha, and made a perfect qualification for the Euro. That unknown coach, has won everything in the U17 U21 etc. categories. The English and their fans have a problem, they do not look beyond their navel.

Happens in everything about Spain, we are the most undervaluated nation in the planet. We are used to it and we dont give a fuck, in fact, we are well like that since we have no problems of selfsteem or narcisistic grandeur that hides a small and insignificant ego, we know who we are... but we don't call us "the chosen people" or shit like that... :)
Their league is literally run by spanish coaches. Take them out and see the level they compete at in Europe. You take Guardiola from City and the PL and now Arteta from Arsenal and they dont smell a single CL final instances. Now they want Guardiola to coach England like its a product from their own. They dont want to let him go they think they can do like British museum does with everything else. You took Pep (spanish manager created in Spain) from England and they dissapear from european level competition. The reality check is going to be a shock next year when he leaves for the average english football fan.
😂😂😂 This is funny. I'm sure anyone who has supported Spain 🇪🇸 for many years will find it funny too. Believe it or not, I predicted Spain would win the tournament long before the tournament started. Spain isn't a team of nobodies. That Spain manager and players won the Nation's League. Spain is one of the few teams in football if not the only one with a clear football philosophy. You can pick a random player and they will fit in perfectly. Before Luis De La Fuente, Spain was tiki-taka based. Enrique made slight adjustments. The team still did well despite coming short in Euros and World Cup. Even while losing, you could see the DNA. De La Fuente had won trophies with junior sides and he was perfect to lead another era of young Spanish players. Spain isn't a team of nobodies, led by a nobody. It is a team of serial winners, led by a serial winner. Vamos La Roja 🇪🇸🔥❤️
I also predicted Spain to win the Euros Bc ik everyone was focusing on England, France, Germany and Portugal I said *this is Spain's tournament to lose* especially in the group they were ,difficult Albania had a brilliant qualifying campaign only conceding 4 goals Croatia reached the semis of the world cup ,finished 3rd ,reached the final of the Nations League, know how to spice International footballing tournaments Italia ,yes they are struggling but that's what makes them dangerous, unpredictable, dunno what ur gonna get from them , defending champs when the tournament started
Well he played less games from the quarters after Pedro got injured which was a blessing in disguise coz as good as Pedro is with holding the ball n retaining it,Olmo made the team more direct n dangerous all while maintaining their possession based football but also able to counter attack.. But Fabian Ruiz is the uncelebrated hero whose not appreciated enough. The guy was brilliant throughout the tournament n in my view was justified to claim the player of the tournament. But Rodriguez too was vital n don't have a problem with him being named as the best.
Reputation still counts in these stupid individual prizes. Rodri is now a premium name and the biggest name in this squad, so everyone just voted for him
And people say that Spain did not have a good bench. Pedri has to retire because of injury? Olmo goes out and not only scores a goal but becomes one of the contenders for man of the tournament. Rodri has to retire because of injury? Just replace the best mid fielder in the world by a guy whose name most people cannot even pronounce, Zubimendi, and Spain just shifts gears and scores within a minute. Morata gets a lot of flak, but he is still the third highest scorer of the Eurocup, which is wild. So when you replace him by another "unpronounceable name" for foreigners, Oyarzabal, I think nobody would expect the guy who make a 20 m long wall with Nico and score. I think that the strength of Spain is that it is full of "no names". Then you can replace any one player and the team still works the same, based on high press, dangerous passes, etc. If you take the key players out of other teams, they look completely lost. That is why Spain's style wouldn't work for them. Because Spain's style requires a massive physical effort, and that means that players need to be rotated early. In other teams, the starts will either play until the 90th minute, or they will lose the plot. In Spain, if Morata, Nico or Yamine Lamal get tired, they are subbed and the team works in exactly the same way, with new legs to fuel the gameplay. That is literally what happened in the most important match of the tournament, against Germany.
Freaking Havertz, all he has to do is chip Simon, on his dominant foot, and he skies it 🤦🏾♂️. Germany were the only team to tie Spain in normal time, and we lacked a proper striker to win. I'm still deflated after that loss but Spain took their chances better, and the better team won.
@@stct7272 Fullkrug was going away from goal, not the easiest header genius. Meanwhile Havertz misses an easy chip, for a WIDE OPEN goal, on his dominant foot, with plenty of time to calm himself. Yeah, I'd say Havertz's chance was easier.

De la Fuente is probably not known out of Spain but he won the Eurocup with the under-19 and under-21 national teams. These youth teams already had a lot of the players we have seen in this Eurocup. I mean, the work to have this performance now started several years ago.
De la Fuente played for the Athletc club in Bilbao and won the Spanish league in '83 and '84. To do so, he enjoyed the manager with the most character there has ever been in Spanish football. It was not easy to win leagues against Madrid and Barcelona. Javier Clemente did it. And that is the source of his power.
Team of nobodies is just ignorant. I get it, it’s done for clicks but that’s so disrespectful. Lamine a full starter at Barcelona, Nico as the star of the first Bilbao team to win a trophy since De la Fuente was a Bilbao player! The midfield for Spain is either on par or better than England. And this is Spain missing Gavi and Pedri In the back, I wouldn’t trade any of the England players for the Spanish. Carvajal is even the best right back in the world. He’s not a defensive liability like TAA. Spain also has a GK that can distribute the ball. Pickford passes are worse than mine.
With "nobodies" apart from doing a bit of clickbait, it refers to the fact that their players were not even half as well known as those from England or France. and no, I don't mean that Lamine Yamal is less known than Mbappé, but rather that Fabián is less known than Camavinga, Morata is less known than Kane, etc... The English pundits and media made the same ridiculous assumptions. As if the Premier League is the only elite football scene. All we heard were how England had the best individual players. The best known players perhaps. Spain have players that use the ball better than them.
@@lolee-wx7nc they are good but Spain won the tournament because others were shit . Especially England and Germany whose coaches are idiots . Especially Nagelsmann

Heck, most Spanish fans wouldn't know where half of the players played before the tournament.
A good lesson is that there is far more to football than the few "popular" things media shoves in front of everyone. The names on the back of the jerseys should not be prioritized as much as what is produced with the football on the pitch
España ganó a Croacia, Italia, Alemania, Francia e Inglaterra.

People who really follow Spain know who De La Fuente is cox he even taught now Head Coach of Argentina Lionel Scaloni. He coached the likes of Rodri, Merino, Oyarzabal and a lot of the players who won the Euro 2024 in U19 and U 21
De la fuente coach these players when they were still playing youth team football so he is familiar with them he nurtured and developed them into an unstoppable force
De La Fuentes has been laying the foundations for Spain to return to their dynasty era. He worked with players like Rodri, Olmo, Merino, Ferran, Oyarzarbal, Unai Simon, Pedri and Zubimendi at youth level and brought in young talents to the main squad like Gavi, Yamal and Nico Williams. It's no surprise they won Euro 2024 by winning every game. No team has ever done it, not even Spain's dynasty era of 2008 and 2012. De La Fuentes deserves credit for that achievement after the disaster class performance against Scotland during the qualifications.

I reckon the producer wants to praise Spain by highlighting the fact that compared to other teams based on big names, they played beautifully and won with a team not based on famous names, but on good players. WOW man. This video is so crazy. Very good job. the title is totally correct, nobody in Spain expected them to win, and expected not only mediocre football but also people expected they wouldn't qualify. So glad they brought new players nobody knew about to the spotlight
Please make a video on Igor Akinfeev...one of the greatest goalkeepers of his generation who never gets recognised because he never set foot in a top 5 league
Doubted at the start by their own fans, the squad with Rodri, Morata, and nine guys that make you go, "Who the hell are those boys?" and a manager with no big name in Europe. But after smashing Croatia 3-0, Spain grabbed a lot of attention for their attacking style that's both attractive and effective. They totally deserve to be Euro 2024 champions.

Calling Spain a team of nobodies is crazy

That's the epl fans . Once you dont play in the epl you're a nobody in their view .
Exactly. Dude makes decent content but needs to calm down on the click bait hyperbole.
not a lot of people know Spain players outside of real Madrid and Barca that's a fact, they really are "nobodies" compared to France Portugal and England. doesn't mean they aren't good just not known

La Roja has been just unstoppable throughout this EURO, what a team it was- absolute dominance in every single game they played. Vamos Espaňa!!!
Great analysis. I just wanted to point out that the 20m wall pass was between Oyarzabal and Cucurella.

Yeah, I'd say Havertz's chance was easier.

and no, I don't mean that Lamine Yamal is less known than Mbappé, but rather that Fabián is less known than Camavinga, Morata is less known than Kane, etc... (by "less known" I mean that you ask an average football fan and doesn't know him or thinks he's worse)
@@juanjohermano6512Marketing is not reality, mass media is shit.
@@juanjohermano6512 nobody who knows football has heard of kane before morate because morata played for madrid for a long time.

postdata: what is the "B" on "BPL"? i know "PL" is premiere league, but what means the "B"?
Most of the Spanish players play for average clubs. Fabian ruiz plays for psg and is mediocre there, cucrella is mediocre for chelsea, laporte is mediocre, dani olma is good but not world class and plays for leipzig, yamal was good in euros but is only 17 and not world class yet. And carvajal is not even top 10 right backs in the world, he gets dribbled and sprinted past a lot he’s extremely overrated. No where near the best RB
There were two teams in this tournament that showed exciting football. Unfortunatelly they met in the QF, so only one could make it through. And that team won the tournament, and rightfully so.
Hear! Hear! it would have been a disaster for football if any other of those dreary teams won!

This man is old. He retired as a player before I was even born.
Calling the spanish team " a team of nobodies " is crazy. Sure, compared to other countries like French, they are massively more underrated but players like Fabian, Simon, Le Nomand, Nico, Carvajal, Rodri, Pedri, Olmo, Laporte were already well known great players before the tournament. People says Fabian Ruiz just popped out of no where but he was a victim of Enique's system at PSG. You guys really should watch other leagues than just Epl lol
Hallelujah to this! Nowadays people consider the Premier League as the only relevant competition. Shame!
The English pundits and media made the same ridiculous assumptions. As if the Premier League is the only elite football scene. All we heard were how England had the best individual players. The best known players perhaps. Spain have players that use the ball better than them.
@@martintielemans I mean players like Rodri and cucurella play in the premier league .
@@lolee-wx7nc they are good but Spain won the tournament because others were shit . Especially England and Germany whose coaches are idiots . Especially Nagelsmann
" Sure, compared to other countries like"
But that is the whole point of the argument.
Ask anyone in France or Germany (to not be accused of EPL centric) where Oyarzabal and Nico Williams play, the two authors of the final match goals, and I bet that most people will not even know where in Spain, let alone the team.
Heck, most Spanish fans wouldn't know where half of the players played before the tournament.
A good lesson is that there is far more to football than the few "popular" things media shoves in front of everyone. The names on the back of the jerseys should not be prioritized as much as what is produced with the football on the pitch
"Team of nobodies" is the biggest stretch I've read this year.
It's click bait bro..
España ganó a Croacia, Italia, Alemania, Francia e Inglaterra.
Theres something about TIKI TAKA that you foreigners need to kown. That term was adopted by an spanish/cuban comentarist, hated at that time by many soccer fans and journalist, cos he came from NBA commentary to soccer, and he made more a SHOW than a footbal commenting, and me, not a football fan, loved it
He was ANDRES MONTES

Only people that dont watch football can call spain players nobodies
Thank you for the video, as a Spaniard I enjoyed it a lot.
I wasn't considering Spain as a competitor for this Euro...I changed my mind after their first game and was pretty sure they would make it at least to the final.
After the knock outs, I was convinced they'd crush everyone and win the title !
I never doubt in games when they were being led, you just could see how unbreakable they were.
@@underdestruction6192 they won it because others were shit big time .Germany and England have no coaches and Italy has no players. France didn't play well either

People who really follow Spain know who De La Fuente is cox he even taught now Head Coach of Argentina Lionel Scaloni. He coached the likes of Rodri, Merino, Oyarzabal and a lot of the players who won the Euro 2024 in U19 and U 21

De la fuente coach these players when they were still playing youth team football so he is familiar with them he nurtured and developed them into an unstoppable force
de la fuente: wins euro u19, euro u21, silver in olympic games, wins nations league == no name mgr.
This video is perfectly made. Muchas gracias!
They forgot that by the power of Real Madrid, Spain has access to the black juju magic and the power of Friendship at European level.
You could see it being used by people like Kroos, Modric, and even Bellingham, but it was to strong in the Spanish NT.
You mean José Plaza? Hahahaha
ive been supporting France from the start (because Griezmann is my idol), but something about Spain playing football IS SO MAGICAL Im glad they won the Tournament deservedly so too.
Agree with you about Spain, but France were awful, I expected more from them!
Yeah I like Greizmann too, he also has played his whole life/career in Spain. He's been there since a teenager and still lives there.
Spoke you heart out, the passion that came through in this video was mind-blowing. Amazing work!!
Awesome video, thanks for putting it together. Cheers from Spain! 🇪🇸😉
Wow the effort you put in these videos make me think Im watching Netflix

I loved your video. Congratulations.
Gran resumen. Enhorabuena!!! Viva España!!!
Proof that continuity matters, to have the same coach with the same players creating an understanding of mentality, tactics etc
Thanks for a video! Great job for a great team ))
Carvajal gots himself more tittles than the entire history of man city…ah nobody…
Great video, you put so much effort into narrating and explaining everything so clearly.

What a video! Congratulations.
I reckon the producer wants to praise Spain by highlighting the fact that compared to other teams based on big names, they played beautifully and won with a team not based on famous names, but on good players. I see comments of people somewhat offended for seeing them called "nobodies". Hello! Irony, you know.
Yeah exactly man, those are not my words but those of the media. As I said in the video, Spain are the greatest in Europe (quite literally now)
¡Saludos!
Your video is brilliant. Great script, great delivery, and excellent image selection and rythm. Contratulations, and thank you. I just subscribed.
Bro asides Le Normand, and Lamine Yamal I don’t think any of the other players have less than 100apps each of top flight football in their careers.
It’s disrespectful to label them “nobodies”
Rodri, Nacho, Carvajal, each have ucl trophies. Morata , Pedri, Ruiz all won league titles in addition to the others.
Williams and Cucurella are regulars at their clubs
So who are the nobodies?
WOW man. This video is so crazy. Very good job.
And it's all true, absolutely no one in Spain trusted Luis de la Fuente or anyone on the team, we knew Rodri and Carvajal were going to play well, we expected Grimaldo who never showed up and we thought Lamin and Nico would do decent and we would go home in the round of 16 or quarterfinals.
Very proud of this team. The world cup will be interesting. Germany and France are very strong and England are sure to improve over the next two years.
Gran vídeo, muy buen trabajo y muy bien explicado. Me suscribo.
1:55 4:58 As someone from Bilbao, the club is called "Athletic Club" we are not big fans of people calling it "Bilbao". Also de other team in 4:58 is called REAL Sociedad (Like in Real Madrid) not Sociedad.
the title is totally correct, nobody in Spain expected them to win, and expected not only mediocre football but also people expected they wouldn't qualify. So glad they brought new players nobody knew about to the spotlight
