Just a fast rocking killer tune -- The musicianship is really good, everyone knows George Lynch (The guys a guitar genius and MONSTER player) but the whole band just ripped on this CD, Mick Browns drumming is really underrated and holds it together, the whole band was tight.... Great song from start to finish and just listen to that "Guitar tone".. That guitar sounds likes its going to explode through the speakers, my goodness what a GREAT Marshall tone!!.. ... Hate Lynch. Go lift some more weights, & bulk up George. And don't forget the tanning bed. A guitar solo should in most every case FIT the groove & vibes of a song. And really "hate" isn't what I meant (just from the hip comment) and shouldn't have gone that far. I'm just not-much of a Dokken fan. Just another 80s "hair metal, pop band like Poison. However this tune is kick ass! Cool riffs & groove. Sorry (NOT sorry) I think Lynch is way, WAY overrated. He's no doubt a good guitarist. Did the solo go on too long? I think so. First part of the guitar solo was cool... but it went on & on too long. George & Ryan are very objective. They certainly didn't dead wrong. And CERTAINLY the "Lynch mob" fans are going to be pissed off. That's all I was responding to. George/Ryan are exceptional in their reviews of heavy Rock & Metal bands. Especially for a couple of guys who're really into Hip Hop and R & B even more so.

I’m gonna say that Don Dokken’s voice represents a good contrast. Sometimes you can have chocolate with peanut butter. A gritty singer on this song would not fit the style and tone. Haunting romance is not about dirt, which is why Metallica can’t do songs like this. Most people who like Dokken understand and appreciate the contrast which allows them to handle different subjects than Metallica would. It’s good to have both.

I wouldn't call Don Dokken's vocals "operatic" but just typical Hair Metal vocals, which then went on to be the vocal style of most Power Metal bands into the modern age. They are of course "high pitched" and clean, as opposed to low, scratchy or growling Thrash Metal vocals.
