Figuring Out Our Site Plan: When Your GPS Fails, You Gotta Go Back To Basics!

In the summer we set out to do the layout of our house, septic, well, and solar. This would be key before moving onto the concrete pouring stage and we were determined to save the $500-1000 on the site plan and do it ourselves. I went thru that frustration a few years ago. Garmin was only accurate within a few feet :( will be interested in the rest of your process. Rich

Yeah it’s a bummer! I guess that’s why you hire land surveyors for smaller property. Thankfully we have a few acres on either side and front and back so we don’t have to worry too much about accidentally digging in someone’s yard!
