It’s a complete master class of singing. Elvis IS and ALWAYS will be the greatest. There are many tremendous singers throughout music history, but Elvis had the drive to be iconic. Nobody had the God given gifts like he did.
There is no entertainer like Elvis he leaves you with so much anticipation and enthralled to hear his voice gets right down to the depths of your soul his voice is set in stone and will always be Thank you great reaction 😎🎯💯♥️
Back in the 70s the country radio station my mom listened to was giving away free Elvis concert tickets. You had to call in and give the name, so everyone (9 of us) called in with mom's name. The following weekend EVERYONE took turns listening to the radio. Saturday evening, my brother came running down the stairs screaming, "They called mom's name!" She called the station to confirm and got the tickets in the mail. She and my aunt loved the concert and my brother got an ice cream sundae for helping.
"I need more Elvis in my life". Wiser words are few and far between, my friend. Suspicious Minds live in Vegas if you wanna have some fun! I need more Jesus in my life! ✌🏼
Amazing! Elvis' vocals are incomparable! He goes high to low effortlessly, just natural! His performance of this song imo is the best! Simon and Garfunkel after hearing Elvis said "How the heck can I compete with that!" Great reaction...ty
Art Garfunkel's version is better than this. They are both good, but Garfunkel has such an angelic and strong voice, and he is a better interpreter of Simon's music.
I have seen this performance so many times and it never gets old. I love it to death every time. Everything about it is just amazing. And as powerful as he gets at the end, I really love his dynamics and subtlety and nuance at the beginning. It's just so amazing the range he goes through on so many levels in just one song. There are a number of fantastic performances from the same 1970 Vegas show in the white jumpsuit. But for a couple of them that are extremely upbeat and fan favorites, check out Suspicious Minds and Polk Salad Annie, from this same show. It's so fun. And you just get such a good glimpse of his personality with his band and also with the audience and also just on stage.
God truly blessed Elvis. He is just perfect in every way from his handsome face, to his unbelievable voice. He was still sounding this good right to the end which with what all they said was wrong in his health. Elvis was a man who not only entertained us but brought a lot to learn more about God. I will forever and always love this man.
What makes Elvis’s version of this song stand out above all the rest, including the original, IS THE GOSPEL flavour he sings it in. Even Paul Simon stated after watching Elvis perform this song said “How can I ever compete with this”.
Great reaction. Elvis could sing anything and make it his own. Suggest watching the sit down portions of the 68 Special to see Elvis let go on some more raucous tunes. He’s incredible.
No one sings like ,Elvis ,this man can from low vocals to very strong vocals ,plus he sings with passion ,emotion ,watch him do suspicios minds ,and polk salad annie,in 70 ,you won,t be able to take your eyes off him
For me, one of his finest live performances. Absolutely stunning. He made this sing his own , as he did with all his covers. The man was a genius. Elvis lives 💙
Paul Simon said "How can I ever top that"? Paul said that this was his favorite cover of Bridge Over Troubled Water. He loved the arrangement by Elvis and Orchestration with back up vocals. Paul was in the Audience in Vegas and went to the August 1970 engagement to hear Elvis sing the song. Elvis put it on the 1970 " "Elvis -That's The Way It Is" Album. I bought the Album first day of issue and this exact video/recording is on that album.
Great reaction as usual! For a fun song check out 1970 live in Las Vegas ( Suspicious Minds 6:22 ) lots of dancing and having fun with his background singers and same show 1970 live Las Vegas ( Polk Salad Annie 4:51 ) you will love these it really shows off his charisma he’s the best performer ever!!!
Hi SalvoG, like your Elvis reactions. This is an absolutley masterpiece! Ok, you like to hear a faster song. Then please react to Elvis PATCH IT UP. It´s from the same summer 1970 engagement in Las Vegas. Thank you!
I love this song, too, and when Elvis sings it, it goes right to your heart and soul because he puts his heart and soul into it. Fantastic. That voice is unworldly. Thanks for this wonderful reaction. He does a lot of up tempo songs in the 68 Special in the black leather segments. I Gotta Woman and Big Hunk of Love from 1970 LasVegas live.
I love this song with Elvis singing yet he is the best. I love him so much noise will. Also you need to listen to suspicious minds that’s really an upbeat performance It’s the live version. It’s fantastic. Make sure to watch the live version.
For an upbeat live performance - from this same Vegas engagement and film - try ESPECIALLY "Suspicious Minds," which is probably his finest live performance ever - an astonishing marathon. Also from that set, "Patch It Up," "Polk Salad Annie," and "I Can't Stop Loving You" are upbeat standouts.
I love. Elvis cover of this beautiful song. Love to see your facial expressions when you hear Elvis. He has a magical way of pulling you into his soul. Elvis did many upbeat songs. If you get into his huge catalog there are many live performances from his early career to the Los Vegas era of his career. He recorded over 700 songs. Check out Polk Salad Annie 1970Los Vegas ( That’s the way it is) also suspicious minds and Patch it up. You won’t be disappointed and Elvis fans will be watching. Thank you for discovering Elvis music and introducing him to new audiences.
make sure it's the version where the reactor did not cut out the beautiful crack & raspiness in his voice; someone actually did that for some stupid reason & it doesn't sound right -- it's just not Elvis
"Paul Simon of Simon and Garfunkel, who wrote this song and had a number one hit with it, gave Elvis the biggest compliment ever. He said after hearing Elvis sings this song I don’t ever want to sing it again. !! '
Great reaction! Here's some upbeat songs for you: mean woman blues 1957, blue suede shoes 1968, jailhouse rock 1968, patch it up 1970, burning love 1973, all are live besides mean woman blues which is from a movie
The tone of his voice is, rich, pure and perfect...it's so beautiful. And he's so great at controlling not only the tone but the power of his voice. Not to mention, can we give him credit for the arrangements? Elvis arranged the sound of his songs. He was brilliant at knowing how the song should be sung, and how the instruments should sound. Upbeat Elvis songs to consider: "Money Honey"(1956) "Mean Woman Blues"(1957) "Little Sister"(1961) "King of the Whole Wide World"(1962)
Elvis turns this song into a religious experience that is just incredible. Still gives me the chills every time I hear it. His voice is angelic and totally mesmerizing. Another incredible vocal performance by Elvis
Great reaction!!! For a great upbeat song with incredible charisma from Elvis. "Tryin to Get to you - 1968 Comeback Special " is an iconic performance. Showcases his vocals, raw talent and emotion. It is an unforgettable performance.
Always the consummate showman. Elvis always delivered. What is amazing, but also sad is his last recording, a live performance of Unchained Melody where you can already see that he was ill but still a great performance.
BRO, I reinstated my Subscription to you after watching this ELVIS performance. He's absolutely one of a kind! Staying in 1970, his "live" performance of "Patch It Up" is up-tempo. And in 1969 ELVIS performed a killer version of "Release Me"! Just wanted to say, I enjoyed finding your Channel today, and especially your reaction!
He was my first love as a kid. I love him still and listen to him very very often. He brings me comfort and joy. If you notice the crowd is always silent when he sings. Perhaps they too catch themselves holding their breath, waiting for whatever it is that he emits that is impossible to define and we find insatiable. Thanks for sharing God Bless.❤
Thank you for your beautiful reaction. I love the original but in a totally different way. Elvis was "a bridge over troubled water" to so many and therefore his stunning presentation of this masterpiece brings so much more depth to the lyrics.
Hey sweetheart, just subbed when I saw your reaction to Elvis, and you just said it , it's effortless to ELVIS , he can sing anything and did. I am trying to to think of some more Elvis songs for you to react to , so so many ,, the comment above is a great one Suspicious Minds Las Vegas 1970, get ready for some action, and lots of surprises throughout. The other one I love us a ballad called JUST Pretend, then you should react to Elvis singing Walk a mile in my shoes, a message with a beat, got to react to Elvis singing Gospel music ,, a beautiful one is Where No One Stands Alone , there's a version of the song with his daughter Lisa Marie that will grab your soul. Stay on the Elvis journey, Never ceases to amaze , even all these years later..The Man is Pure Magic TCB 1935
THE KING. Elvis Aaron Presley!👑
This is why he was the King.
Across the board Brilliant!
He’s not The King for no reason. Nobody ever did it like Elvis.

It’s a complete master class of singing. Elvis IS and ALWAYS will be the greatest. There are many tremendous singers throughout music history, but Elvis had the drive to be iconic. Nobody had the God given gifts like he did.
Every song Elvis sings is immortalized in his voice. The other singers are in second place.
Not even a close second.

Today August 16th 2024 is the 47th year since Elvis has passed and we love him every bit as much as the first day we met in 1954.❤️🔥
Simply the undisputed master, that's why he's known as "The King"

I agree. The power and perfection in Elvis' voice is unmatched!
Elvis is my favourite 😍 so so good xx
When Paul Simon first heard Elvis version of this song he said to himself "how the hell csn i compite with that?!"
He probably felt that way when Disturbed sang "The Sound of Silence". lol!
This men is not normal, Elvis is soooo good my boy. Thank God for ELVIS 🙏👑
Next song hurt 1977

Elvis put such an emotional spin on it as only he could....love his magical voice never be another like him.....I will love him forevermore ! ! !
When Elvis gets into it, he can belt it out!
Simon & Garfunkel are on record. When they saw Elvis singing this, they said: "How are we going to complete with that!?
Paul Simon heard Elvis singing their song and promptly said” how the heck can we follow that??”👌💕🕺
I’m 77 and it gave me chills…
WOW
What can you say …. Perfection ‼️‼️
God he was so fine 🔥
“If you don’t think we’re listening to that again, you’re crazy.” YOU ROCK!❤

Too few videos show Elvis technical masteries. Thank you for this one.
You have to listen to Elvis' unplugged 68 Comeback Special. Because of this show, I became a fan after his death. He's at his most... stunning

Such a pleasure seeing The King live and in his prime. He had such a rich and powerful voice. I was waiting for a karate move at the end.
Elvis brings the gospel to a song!
