There is singers, then there is great singers then there is Freddie…no one comes close. Freddie has the power and energy in his voice and has the showmanship to make people feel a certain way. He is in a class of his own. Love you Freddie. ❤️❤️. 🌈
This man is one in a million. Unrepeatable and unreplaceable. A whole new level of real music. He feels every single word that is coming from his mouth. And he is pure energy. I just adore him. Noone is good enough after listening Freddies voice. Amazing reactions. Thank you.
I agree. NOW, after "discovering" Freddie in 2023, NO other singer can compare! Even the greats like Paul McCartney --beautiful singers, but just not the total-body power and beauty of Freddie's singing.
In a world of literally billions its rubbish to claim that no one could match him. The simple fact is that not everyone with the right physical traits to be a great singer has either the desire or ambition to use them as such - or even the opportunity for those born in less fortunate circumstances. Had Freddie's family never emigrated to the UK he likely would have amounted to nothing in his home country - or worse persecuted for his sexuality.
I loved Queen and Freddie Mercury. All band members are great together and all are so very creative in their own right. Freddie left this world way too soon. He had so much more to give us. He is a once in a lifetime magnificent artist.
This is my favorite live performance of this powerful song. Freddie was a special gift from the heavens given to us for a short time. We will never forget him.
I agree: the Budapest 1986 live stage video is the best; that "iron curtain" country went all out to provide the very best equipment for the show, so the video and sound is crystal clear.
I loved your reaction.i'm glad that you seem to get our freddie.he was a special soul. This song is emotional hearing it when it first came out, then in the film highlander(there can be only one) but hearing it after he passed in 91 adds great sadness to an already emotional song.
The heart. The soul. The power. Brian is sooo much more than a guitar playing astrophysicist. And matched with Freddie’s vocal showmanship, Roger’s driving percussion and John’s haunting bass…..yeah, sometimes the tears flow. Great reaction. RIP Freddie.
Brian's a pretty decent vocalist too, as is Roger who sounds eerily like Rod Stewart on his own. John is the only one I haven't really heard much from - I'm not sure if that's because he's too shy to do solo vocals, or if his voice just wasn't good enough.
@@pattylisk6170 "Roger hits those drums with a power and voracity like no other" Laughs in John Paul Jones and Neil Peart. Don't get me wrong - Roger was great in his time, but others left him in the dust at his best.
I often think, when I see Freddie sing, that he is pulling that amazing voice out of every cell in his body. You see him rise on his toes, clench his fists, his muscles tensing, as you sense him pulling those notes out from deep inside himself. It's beautiful to hear and amazing to see.
Freddie couldn't live forever but his songs will never die😢❤️it broke my heart the day he died cause I grew up with his music 😢for me, the internet is a great gift cause it preserves the memories in a way everyone can look at it and see what we saw in our youth and learn from our times.
Freddie wouldn't want you to be sad because of not experiencing his songs earlier. He'd say now is as good a time as any because he was a generous kind man and would be happy just knowing that you appreciate and enjoy his offerings.
I agree; there is a sort of "sadness" I/we feel who have just now, 2023-2024, "discovered" Freddie, but must slowly realize that we do still have him, and forever. A lot of us likely wouldn't have seen him live, when he was still here. I am certain he would be so happy, thrilled, and touched, to know how he is affecting so many of us even years after he left.
Omg Freddie..no one can deliver such a live performance. He nailed it. 32 years ago he left this Earth but lived forever in heaven. Love you Freddie❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for your wonderful reaction. To steal a quote from Highlander, "there can be only one" and his name is Freddie Mercury. For me, the Freddie magic is his amazing ability to take words, mere words, and deliver (channel?) them in a manner that touches your heart & soul. Goosebumps.
I was introduced to Queen at the age of 7...and I'm 57 today...and an even BIGGER fan than I was back then. Queen is ETERNAL....musical GODS they were. 💎💎💎💎💎
I died on November 25th, 2018. The doctors gave me a 6% of making it through the night. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks. Everytime I hear this song it gives me goosebumps. Why? Not because I want to live forever. But because I know the secret of life. It's all about the Beauty we leave behind. And Freddie has done that for us over and over 🥰
There's a lot of great singers out there and then there's Freddie! No one can come close to his vocals in my opinion! Just blows a person away while giving the chills at the same time with some tears shed at some points (at least for me!)!
'Otherworldly' is the only way I can describe Freddie's incredible voice, talent, and presence. 💫🙏💖 Thank you for a beautiful and heartfelt reaction to this incredible performance. ❤ ETA: I think the full scope of Freddie's extraordinary talent, as well as who he was as a human being, is only just beginning to be fully appreciated, in part, thanks to YT and all the amazing performance videos and interviews that are coming back to life here. 🙏❤
I bought my first Queen LP in 1973. I was 13 yrs old. I fell in love with Freddie and the whole band right there and then. I bought every single album and learned by heart every single song they released after that. I was fortunate enough to see them live in 1982 & 1983, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of my entire life. The day Freddie died I cried for days…what an astonishing talent, what gifted soul, what a magical human being. Freddie will live forever in our hearts & our minds ❤
This is one of those songs that really has to be experienced through the live performance(s) AND the studio version. The live versions are indisputably incredible, but that opinion requires no persuasion, since here it is. But you must see what they did with the official version. It’s just jaw dropping, spectacularly well arranged and accompanied, and almost unmatched in demonstrating the clarity, raw power, and beauty of Mercury’s voice. It’s unforgettable.
Always ❤ for Freddie's unique voice and presence. I know I'm not the only one to suggest Love of my Life live at Wembley 1986. I know it's reacted to a lot, but for good reason! It's about his stage presence as well as some achingly beautiful lyrics and tender/passionate delivery. Brian on his 12 string guitar is also wonderful
Freddie is s total performer. Another best performance is the LIVE AID 85. Hope you can also react on that. They stole the show and also the audience participation is a WOW! Hope you do more QUEEN songs and you will never be disappointed. Thank you very much for your great reaction! Keep safe🙂
I just find your channel. I love Freddie and Queen. And you’re right when you say that it’s something big above us when Freddie sings. That’s true….I’m 45 years old, musician and trying to find better singer than Freddie…it’s not possible. He is just impossible to beat.
Touch my tears with your lips and touch my soul with your fingertips… Freddie and his band touched billions all over the world, and I am sure that they will live forever in people’s hearts, forever legend 💗
another great song from the highlander soundtrack by queen is the theme song princes of the universe they also used the song for the highlander tv show
That whispered "so special" I was like man, finally someone see's it. He was a true blessing. If you really want to hear this song, there is a actual video of it, not just the live performance, that has the symphony backtracking it. That backtrack makes it even more breathtaking.
This rips my soul out Amen to what you said ❤Your reaction to this is the best I’ve seen . No words were even needed. I came back to watch this again, which I never do. What you said was so beautiful and so true . Thank you. ❤
So well said, your comment makes me think of Green Day's 2017 UK summer outdoor concert at Hyde Park, the 65k+ strong crowd waiting for Green Day were inspired by a sound system playing Bohemian Rhapsody in the background, they spontaneous sang the whole with the bright sun setting, clouds swirling, surreal, otherworldly and a precious moment of humanity.
Great reaction, thank you! I feel the same way you do about Freddie and this song, and you’re the only reactor who has conveyed the same thoughts about it that I have . It seems he drew strength from a higher power. I truly believe he did. IMO he was the greatest frontman to ever grace a stage. Thank goodness we have videos to remember him by. He was only lent to us for a very short time. RIP Freddie Mercury!
I highly recommend you do a reaction for Queen’s performance at Live Aid, it’s considered to be the best live performance to be filmed. The bands energy is incredible, Freddie not only blows the mind of everyone who sees but his connection to the audience is like nothing you have ever seen. He had them under his spell from the moment they took that stage.
A long time ago, after returning from a Queen concert (on cloud nine I might add), a friend of mine who was an Elvis fan, laughed at me. Shaking his head, he asked me if I thought Freddie had the best voice ever. I immediately affirmed that in my opinion he did and that most would agree with me. Hearing what you just said tells me I was right. Thanks for my vindication 💖 Gone too soon. 👼
Freddie's amazing , "otherworldly" voice was actually studied. He had a fabulous range, of course, & vocal strength high in his register. Freddie doesnt sing a song--he lives it
Our hearts collectively broke when Freddy died. 😢 This is why.
❤❤💔💔
His voice grabs your soul and hugs it tight
I thought I was the only one who felt like this. Freddie is truly amazing and so beautiful.
Look at the timeline of his life. He received his AIDS diagnosis in April of 1987. Look at what he did AFTER that and be amazed.
Such talents. No words 😂
Freddie Forever Loved XX
Queen and Freddie is the Greatest !!!
Queen will always be special to me. My first concert as a kid. This was so beautiful!
Freddie was not of this world. He was sent for somewhere far, far away to grace us for far too short a time.
"There can be only one"
Freddie was such a visionary talent taken way too soon. Great reaction❤😊
The film sequence is heartbreaking.
If you want your heart truly broken, go and watch the Wembley version of this and Freddie's speech at the beginning. I cry every time I watch it.
YESSSS… And the performance on Friday, July 11 is… INTENSE!🤯
(On Saturday, July 12, I think Freddie’s voice is a bit tired.)
Tears. Just 5 years later...
@@jodij6280 😭🙏🏻
And watch Highlander the movie for context
Freddie was spelling live... I was lucky enough to see him live twice and it will stay with me forever ❤❤
Yes. Everything you said.
I have run out of words to describe the talent that is Freddie. Cried like a baby when he died. The world lost a treasure beyond words. RIP
That’s our Freddie 😊🥰💥💫✨🔥🤩💛♥️ I need a little Freddie/ Queen everyday 👑
More Queen reactions please!
Yes cry, I have over this Masterpiece a million times……..this and from Wembley july 11 -86 is the best……love 👑❤️
One of my favorites. So glad you enjoyed it. ❤

I agree with you 💯 all you said about freddie no one can reach to freddie's level because he has his own league
He died too young and unnecessarily! (Thx to our uk government refusal to fund research into aids)
Miss him Miss that time to bits ..,
I always felt Freddie was a direct conduit from a higher power.

I take great pride in saying that the very first rock concert that I ever attended was QUEEN in 1978 as a 14 year old!
