You guys all do an awesome job...thank you!! You only have to turn on the TV to see what sort of country we live in these days...nobody has respect for anyone. Parents for each other, kids for their parents & vice versa, friends, teachers etc, kids for the elderly. Young people for anyone. They don't care that someone has worked all their lives just to have a home invasion or a mugging, robbery etc etc...but thanks for the good guys...they do believe it or not outweigh the bad...

The US could learn a thing or two. "All people have a right to health care." We don't here. They demand we have health care but they don't make sure we have it.
It’s free in even somewhat civilised countries, even ones based on the same horrors as the US, and there’s so many problems in your country… hope it’ll be a decent if not good country someday
Same as Canada, yeah it’s “free” besides the ambulances being $45. But you’ll be sitting there for 12+ hours just to be seen (if it’s not too busy) minimum is 6 hours. Then the testing etc and you’ll be waiting probably 4-7 hours waiting for results. If you’re brought in by an ambulance on a stretcher and a doctor decides it’s emergent than to be put in the waiting room, you could be in an uncomfortable hospital stretcher for days (with constant checking BP, heart etc.) if a doctor decides you need a room, you could be put in a cubicle on a stretcher for days-a week or even in the hallway near the nurses and lights don’t get turned off where as in the “rooms”/cubicles do have lights to turn off
Marla and I were just discussing how to do it on a Sunday morning and we are all just going out for a drink at our place for the night so if we don’t do anything else you guys are going out for a little while but we can go to a different time and do something else and then your parents will come and hang with me so we could have dinners together if we wanted but if we don’t Add the food and we want we could just have dinner or we can do a quick meal or whatever we can go

for more experienced and trained medics that are authorised to give better drugs and do better cares. It's not the waiting for better medics, its also waiting for more support. In australia its protocol that a heart attack brings 2 crews. The MICA was called in case he deteriorated and needed special medications that normal paramedics can't give. Higher risk medications are only able to be given by specially trained medics
It's a thing in a lot of areas, in the US in a lot of cases a paramedic will have to wait for a critical care paramedic, or a paramedic with a special certification. In canada a lot of PCP/IV have to wait for ACP or CCP to arrive.

One of my close family friends died from a catastrophic heart attack almost 2 yrs ago. Kudos to the paramedics.
What an inspiration these folks are.
