    Well, I made this last night and used it as buns for our burgers 🍔. It was very light in texture and my Husband liked that, because after eating it he didn't feel weighed down. Neither did I. I think I will tweak it a little bit by adding salt and garlic etc. 😋

    Too eggy and wet for my liking but I'm sure a lot of people will love it, especially for 'french toast'. I personally prefer egg white only, or mostly egg white and only 1 yolk, baking powder, almond, coconut, or lupini flour, adding yeast for taste or activating it with a small amount of honey, adding xanthan gum at sometimes cilium husk. I also add salt a couple of drops of stevia and various herbs/spices depending on what I'm going to use it for. This creates, a dryer bread with a more 'bread-like texture and no eggy taste. It can still be made in the microwave. This is just what works for my tastes though as a person that struggles with texture and is sensitive to eggy tastes.

    • @mindymilly
      @mindymilly 2 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      Same here... I tried the recipe as is but I didn't like the eggy taste so I used 2 eggs instead of 4.
      Also, 1 tbsp of baking powder made it bitter so I used 1 tsp instead and it was better.

    I made this last night. It took a lot more than 90 seconds to cook in my low powered microwave oven. After the first 3 minutes the middle of the bread still looked like liquid but I let it cook for a couple more minutes and it came out seemingly ok. I still wasn't too sure when I took it out if it had cooked long enough since it still appeared to be a little moist but I did not want to over cook it. It was steaming hot when I took it out (still cooking I guess) and it dropped out of the glass dish perfectly. I let it cool until it stopped steaming then I cut it into 8 slices. My wife was with me in the kitchen the whole time preparing her own supper. She had not idea what I was doing and was quite surprised to see me bring what looked like real bread to the table. She was surprised that it came out of the microwave. While it tasted nothing like actual bread, as was expected, it was quite filling, more so to me than actual bread. As for the taste, maybe a little too eggy and too much baking powder but perhaps that's the trade off for bread-like texture and the convenience of making it in the microwave.

      she poured only enough to make 2 thin slices at a time. Sounds like you poured the whole lot in at once if you got 8 slices out of yours-- naturally it takes a lot longer to cook it all up at once. Microwave is only suitable to cook maximum 1 thick bread slice at a time.

    This bread is amazingly fast and delicious, depending upon seasonings you use to flavor it. It's quite bread-like!! 😋
    Be careful with the ingredients you use, if you track your macros. Baking powder DOES have quite a few carbs (1.3 per tsp/4 per Tbl). I use Rumford aluminum-free baking powder. It does say 0g carbs on the nutrition facts, but only for 1/8 tsp. This recipe calls for 2 Tablespoons. So the actual total carb count per 1 slice (4 slices total per recipe) is actually SEVEN grams and net carbs per slice are 4g. If you use 2 slices to make a sandwich, that's 14g carbs total and 8g net. For me, that makes this bread definitely a treat, and not for eating on the daily.
    Thanks so much for posting, Low Carb Love! ❤️

    I made this recipe and I came up with the greatest hack by accident! 😔 I did an experiment and did one serving in the microwave and then did another serving in the oven. The microwave worked better because the oven one came out and it wasn’t cooked all the way in the middle so it crumbled. well I just decided to make it iin tobreadcrumbs. It worked perfectly! Next time I’m going to make a batch I’ll put some Italian seasoning in the recipe and make breadcrumbs and/or replacement coating. Maybe this time it will be intentional instead of on accident. 😏
    thanks for all your great recipes I’ve left everything I have made and more impressive they have passed the picky husband test! Keep up the great work!

    Awesome video , I have been making this 90 second bread for 2 yrs now , sometimes I put seasoning in it or cheese , it’s so good , I usually use butter though , great tasting bread too . We make egg mc muffins with cheese sausage and egg or ham & egg & cheese , use one of the egg rounds to make the egg and a round Pyrex container to make the bread This is the recipe I’ve been using for mine ,
    , 1 egg, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, 1 tablespoon melted butter. Microwave for 90 seconds. I use a round Pyrex dish not the smallest one just about the size of an English muffin . Great video though , your recipes are always exciting and awesome , thanks for all the love .

    Love your recipes and enthusiasm! I made this bread, but it was very, very bitter and inedible. My almond flour wasn't rancid, but I know that too much baking powder causes bitterness. I reviewed the recipe, which calls for 4 TABLESPOONS of baking powder, and then looked over my fave waffle, mug cakes, etc. recipes and discovered that those call for 1/4 - 1/2 TEASPOON (max). I made a half a bread recipe, used one teaspoon, and it was delish. So, I dunno? Keep up the tasty work!
