It's really janky and just kind of a fun thing to do, but Liquimetal Coating and Karn the Great Creator can be used to make any permanent a creature that Volrath can copy. I'm not saying this deck needs this combo but...
What I want to see with Volrath tho is a lot of thievery based spells. Shapeshifter copycats and the like, at least a good handful of dittos in the mix. After all, with this commander your strength is basically your opponent's board state that lacks hexproof or shroud. If wizards really is doing their thing with making stuff like first strike, trample, haste, etc as counters this commander is gonna become very, very strong very, very quick. It's already crazy enough that he can basically shapechange as a free instant-speed action, meaning if needed he can take multiple forms in a single engagement. It's honestly a bit criminal that he's only a dollar.
My one suggestion for this channel is to shorten up the videos a little bit. It's hard to find time to watch the whole video in one sitting. If videos were 15-20 minutes, I think it'd be a lot easier. Also, I think many people would love it if you did a deck tech on some of the commanders from the International Women's Day Secret Lair (Narset decks are notoriously expensive so a budget one would be really incredible).
@@BudgetEDH i made a mutate volrath but honestly with all the mutate i dont see what to cut and what to put, not much space. Having trouble making a volrath mutate deck, it seem lacking in every aspect compare to other decks. Infect might be an option, i have even think of unbloakable cratures. I honestly dont know how to make it

That is cool!! Thanks for sharing!
You can sneakily use Tetzimoc to also put counters on your creatures, they are not destroyed when Tetzimoc ETB's ;P
