Patamon somehow became my favourite rookie digimon, probably because of the Digital Monster Version 3 since that was my first experience with the little guy. The anime made his evolutions pretty badass too. What's there not to love about a funny innocent soft potato boi? I actually play a Digimon DnD campaign where Patamon is my partner digimon, but he's the antithesis in personality with what you're described here hahaha. Pretty much an evil violent gremlin who specialises in knife crimes and actively avoids such weaknesses like "friendship", probably has a personality more befitting of a Tsukaimon but nah it's much funnier having a demonic Patamon instead.
If I can actually have a Patamon that evolves into a Musyamon, I'm sold. I'm a martial artist, so it would be interesting to see that reflected on my digimon's evolution path.
I was more expecting it to evolve to Unimon, especially considering Unimon's move is called Holy Shot. In Digimon World 2, its first evolution is into Ninjamon, for some reason.
I think Patamon is my favorite rookie Digimon because my mom considered guinea pigs and hamsters as useless pets and never allowed me to have them :D It feels ironic that Patamon out of all Digimon has the potential to become essentially the force of good incarnate (Digitized?).

if you wanted a ride and don't have the digiegg, just train his beast data and eventually he will evolve into unimon(his default, non holy evolution)
