കറുമുറെ തിന്നാൻ കളിയടക്ക👌😀👌 (Kaliyadakka)

Kaliyadakka
Ingredients
1. Blackgram dal - ½ cup
2. Rice powder - 1 cup
3. Grated coconut - ¼ cup
4. Cumin seeds - 1 to 2 tsp
5. Sesame seeds - 1 tsp
6. Salt - to taste
7. Oil - 2 cups
8. Black pepper powder - big pinch
Preparation
1. Dry roast the black gram dal & powder it nicely when cool. Set aside.
2. Grind nicely the coconut & half of the cumin seeds adding a little water.
3. Stir well the rice powder, salt, cumin powder, cumin & sesame seeds & 1tbsp of oil.
4. To this add the coconut masala & mix every thing together sprinkling water into a dough. Make small - small equal sized balls & fry in oil till golden brown.

ഇതുപോലൊരു അനുഭവം എന്റെ ചെറുപ്പത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടായതു ഞാൻ കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. അഛനായിരുന്നു ഉപ്പേരിയും കളിയടയ്ക്കായും ഒക്കെ അടുപ്പിന്റവിടെ നിന്ന് വറുത്തിരുന്നത്. ഒരു ദിവസം ഇതുപോലെ കളിയടയ്ക്കാ പൊട്ടിത്തെറിച്ചു.അഛന്റെ കൈ പൊള്ളി. ഇപ്പോഴും എനിക്ക് കളിയടയ്ക്കാ ഉരുട്ടിയിടാൻ പേടിയാണ്. ഉരുളയുടെ പുറം കൂടുതൽ മിനുസപ്പെടുത്തി ഉരുട്ടിയാലും പൊട്ടിത്തെറിക്കുമെന്നാണ് എനിക്കു തോന്നുന്നത്.

Madam, the air trapped inside while rolling expands while dropped in hot oil. This is also a cause for it to explode. Many tend to make a tight ball. My grandma's trick to avoid this, is to make a not-so-perfect balls, with the naturally forming cracks to remain and thereby let the air escape while frying thus preventing explosion.
