Reaching the top of the tower to find out Ganondorf was the one playing the background music is still amazing. He could definitely be a world famous composer if he wasn’t dead set on world domination. Love the dark version of Zelda’s Lullaby on the flute at 2:34 and the inclusion of “Enter Ganondorf” at the end.
@@Rauruatreidesit’s actually so unnerving to walk in to that room only to see him playing….. almost as if he’s enjoying it so much…. He wants Link to reach the top!
I always understood it that Ganondorf had the same power of music Link did, so as goofy as the scene comes across. I assumed thats how he pulled the strings on his evil power in the world and why he wasn't at all shocked you made it lol.
And now I'm getting flashbacks to me as a little brat going up the final staircase to Ganondorf's boss room, hearing the organ slowly crescendo to its full glory, and nervously making sure all my items were ready before I entered. OoT was my second console game, and perhaps the one with the biggest impact in terms of my tastes in games today, so to hear that final stretch arranged so close to what my younger ears perceived the MIDI files actually sounding like is the mark of a true genius in my mind Ev. If there is a higher power, both you and Koji Kondo were surely blessed by it.
I kind of like how Twilight Princess does something similar, with the theme starting off a little spooky but still sounding like the Hyrule Castle's theme. But as you climb it gets more sinister sounding, transitioning fully into Ganondorf's theme. But the energy of the original, the feeling of "This is it. This is why you set off on this adventure: To kill the sonuvabitch at the top of this tower." hasn't been topped. Some have come close, I liked entering Hyrule Castle in Breath of the Wild, but it's still not as good as this was. And of course, your rendition of this track is amazing as always! Love the "Enter Ganondorf" theme at the end as well!
The only thing that surpasses this for me is tears of the kingdom, with link reaching the heart of the gloom. That section felt like you weren't going to reach a man, but that you were going straight to hell. Especially that final jump. That was the best part of the game for me.
@PolnareffPierreJean me as well. I've played most the 3d entries before, but I already knew what was going to happen with those, so it was more of me going through the motions. This however was not the case with TotK, since I knew mostly nothing. Dread and excitement filled me, and the encounter itself, with the army, the revival, extra long health bar, dragon, and other stuff, really is some peak Zelda material.

It truly amazes me the huge range, talent and capacity you have dear Evelyn! You ALWAYS manage to absolutely obliterate and improve the original material, you truly captured the "we're on the final path, all ends now" vibe this theme has and even took it to a whole new level, and that's no easy task at all. Always a huge fan and follower of your work, thanks for doing this wonderful stuff!
Ganondorf has so many entrance themes its insane. * Ganon Appears (TLoZ) * Ganon's Message (ALttP) * Enter Ganondorf (OoT) * the intro to Ganon's Tower (OoT) * the intro to Last Battle (OoT) He's like a WWE heel
"The Triforce parts are resonating... they are combining into one again. The two Triforce parts that I could not capture on that day, seven years ago... I didn't expect they would be hidden within you two! And now, finally, all the Triforce parts have gathered here! These toys are too much for you! I command you to return them to me!" ~ Ganondorf.
Diagetic video game music is always cool, and at the time finding out link could hear the Demon King Jam Session while fighting iron knuckles was incredible
You know, at first glance, it's such a simple, even _basic_ song. And yet, it captured and continues to capture those who hear it in pure, anxious fear. Wonderful cover
What a character. Ganondorf is definitely a top 3 fictional character of all time for me. A sorcerer, skilled swordsman, and on top of all of that, physically imposing and is a king by birthright. Would love to see Nintendo and fromsoftware collab, and give Ganondorf and Ganon the most honest show of his power and hatred.
This was absolutely glorious, an arrangement more than fitting for a king's revival and the birth of his new world that takes me back to the climax of my adventures in Hyrule as a boy. This was easily one of my favorite tracks from Ocarina of Time, second only to the Ganondorf Battle (which I hope you cover next, if I could be a little cheeky 😂). And Enter Ganondorf is SUCH a nice touch at the end, it makes me wonder how epic it would've been if it played when you entered his room in the game.
Daimaō no makai Ganondorf (Great demon king of the demon world Ganondorf). Bearer of the stolen Triforce of power. Master of dark magic. Ruler of the Mazoku(demon tribe). Traitor to the Gerudo and Hyrule. Embodiment of darkness and source of evil. Persistent evil spirit. The manipulative puppet master who had the ability to split pieces of himself in order to extend his reach and control entire kingdoms from the shadows. The thief leader who slaughtered his own followers out of selfish greed. The Thief king who was envious over his neighbor's greener and larger realm and desired it all for himself. In his belief a king's will is absolute, it's his divinely given right to rule and he should use his power to opress and conquer. A king shouldn't use his power to defend others and shouldn't restrain himself and preside with the people he rules over. Power is everything. The strongest deserves to rule all of creation, Might makes right. Peace breeds weakness. Only the fittest deserve to survive. The world should be in a state of endless war and battle. Greed malevolence and violence should be rewarded. Demons embody his ideals and as a demon king he embodies their traits and desires. Hyrule and it's monarchs are an affront to his ideals. A demon world is a reflection of everything he likes and he desires to turn every world and land he claims into a demon world.
The way Zelda's Lullaby was implemented too... Man, gave me goosebumps.

Probably the best organist too. He's able to do all these crazy flourishes and whatnot, all while still keeping his composure.

The original song was already amazing but this blows it out of the water
Fun fact : This theme originated in A Link To The Past as Ganon's theme when he's talking

This was so well done. Best version on the interwebs, thanks for sharing and for your hard work and passion✨

holy shit.... this is so good. Thanks for putting it on spotify too
Awesome! All hail the great Ganondorf.

I've always appreciated this theme, definitely builds the hype for the finale haha!
Incredible work, perfect for leading up to the finale.

SUAVEMENTE!
Is it just me, or does the first second sound like the beginning of the main theme before the second note descends? Very cool either way.
