puppet ganon is one of the most brilliant bosses! it combines several phobias like snakes, spiders, and puppets as a little test of courage for link
It's incredible how they've managed to make a concept as silly as the king of all things evil using a puppet on a string to fight you so unsettling. Intimidating even. This soundtrack put in hard work.
It occurred to once, that giant puppets might have been something a young Link might have had nightmares over at one point. Like a childhood fear or something similar. Snakes, spiders, and a giant marionette puppet are all pretty scary to a kid like link. Maybe personal fears. And that's why Ganondorf took those forms? It would explain why he calls out to Link afterward, applauding his "courage"....maybe the boss fight was more of a test on Link's part by Ganondorf to make positive Link had the Triforce of Courage.
I swear this is how dramatic it felt fighting puppet ganon as a kid for the first time
It's fun to think that Eiji Aonuma was a puppet maker prior to his job at Nintendo. And we see a hint of that in Puppet Ganon, the BotW dungeons as well as other stuff in the Zelda games. It's as if Shigeru Myamoto knew how this would benefit the series when he hired him.
The snake phase was always my favorite boss theme from the game

While I know it'll probably never happen, I would love to see these three tunes as separate videos, and a decent bit longer than their respective parts in this 3-in-1 video. It's a wonderful composition regardless though! This is just my own personal musings, and think it would be cool. xD

The third part of this song perfectly acted as the theme song to me desperately speeding through a parking garage looking for a spot while trying to keep myself from pissing myself.
the way these always get more and more cinematic always makes me excited for what's next
