Whenever I ride Star Tours, I always question the point of the seat belt. I never feel like I'm really ever going to fall or that the ride vehicle tilts that much. Holy crap was I wrong
Mike S it’s to deter people from leaving their seat or standing - smart move - back the future the ride had a lap bar and then had problems with teenagers standing to try and “surf” the ride 😂
The simulator has such a wide range of motion. It has much more motion than I thought. I'm sure the seat belts are there so people won't fall out of their seats
That's. . . . Kind of terrifying watching the ride SIM get SO close to the walls. It's clearly never going to hit them, but seeing it in real time is eerie
Well you do, but only briefly when boarding! (and unboarding, if you look behind you, which is the side we're seeing here). It actually blew my mind when I learned how 'boxey' the vehicle actually is, because it's normally near impossible to see under the normal lighting conditions.
Mike Vasquez Tilting it back (while the screen makes it look like you're traveling straight) creates the sense of going faster. Tilting forward = deceleration.
@@connorcrowley3490 when I was a kid, I knew it was a motion simulator, but thiught light speed was the sim moving forward on rails to the next junction. LoL. I thiught it was a giant circle operation.
You are confusing the NASA cooperation on the attraction "Flight to the moon" later called "Mission to mars". The sims are pretty standard aviation rigs with modifications.
Less shocked by how it moves and more by the fact THE SHIP IS PAINTED ON THE SIDE??? Idk i always thought the ship looked as it was designed, not that it was painted onto a box 💀
Because when you re inside... between the visuals, sound, and the movement of the simulator you really do feel like you’re flying. You drop quickly... you rise quickly... if you weren’t strapped in you would go flying. It’s intense.
I'd never ride this because I hate simulators due to a bad experience in year 6 at primary school. My teacher asked me if I wanted to do the simulator, I asked what a simulator was, she said it's just a cinema you just sit and watch a film on the screen, I did the simulator and came off in tears, I fell into my nursery nurse's arms and looked at my teacher and said miss you lied to me, you told me it was a cinema. I even asked her if it moved but she said no.
WOW!!! I always wanted to see what Star Tours was like from the outside! Thanks!
I love behind the scenes secrets. Star tours moves way more than I thought. Thanks for this view.

Tug on the yellow tab. Yeah, you can thank Star Tours for that.

Noooo its a lie we went to space lol

This is the best ride of all time by far!
I need a racing simulator to this degree haha awesome behind the scenes!!
The fact that the exterior is painted and detailed is very interesting, considering we never get to see the outside as riders

@@GameXplainYeah, it’s crazy how immersive they managed to make this. (also, omg gamexplain)
ちゃんと外まで装飾されていて感動した
イメージ壊さないディズニー、スゴい。
Stupid haircut
Thank you. I always wanted to see this.
I remember when only military and professional pilots got to ride full-motion simulators. Now we all get to go.
Thank you for this!! I always wondered how they did light speed for this ride!! Love behind the scenes stuff like this!
thanks for the heads up on the new ones
Mmm I can smell this ride 😅❤️
Watching this in real life was super cool. Glad there’s a video of the old Star Tours speeder in flight
This is actually soo impressive for its time period hahaha
That's really cool
If you sit in front you will get the most acceleration out of it.
Soo how do they make it feel like it’s pulling forward fast ?? That still trips me out ??

Connor Crowley that still trips me out lol how it makes us feel like it’s pulling us
Mike Vasquez lol I'm with ya 😁...beforehand, I had so many wild theories on how they did it
Yessss same thing i ask myself its trippy

Ok this is really really cool
❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 wonderful job verry realistic 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Someone told me it was done all by spinning.
Yeah I was expecting it to be more like the simulators in RCT3, not RCT1 or RCT2 cuz the simulators in hat one just rock back and forth
That's Mission Space at Epcot.
Wish we could have seen this with Body Wars.
Did u know the original simulators from dl in california are from nasa

@@philrabe910 The original simulators are from the airforce.
Light speed was more intense in the 90s! lol
What's this room? Everytime I ride Star Tours I visit a planet, noo?
it’s the old video that was standard for all rides before like 2013
It got too expensive to launch into space so many times per day so they opted for this motion sim.
be cool if you could play space related video game on that thing and take control of that simulator while you play the game.
THE CREATORS BROKE THE FOURTH WALL
So thats how you get the efect of high speed
I did like this one more in paris than the new one…
It kind of reminds me of body wars

But why is this considered as a Big Thrill in the map?

i thought the entire thing was built with wood.. not just a painting on a big piece..
CAPTAIN REX
WHOAAAAA
Is that Pee-Wee Herman’s voice?

sad just a box ruined the magic lol
