Nice review. Not sure though, I just got it less than a week ago. The battery life is not as advertised, just sitting down here and it's draining crazily. I don't know how many times I have charged it since I got it. Do you think the one I have is defective or is there a way to optimize the battery life without losing all the cool features that make me fancy the watch in the first place? Thanks
Nice and clear review.. Thnx. Not having an app store isn't an issue, phones have that, i rather have no app store and a good battery life instead of a phone shrunk down into a watch😉. This watch does everything others do, where a smart watch should work at.
The battery life alone is the biggest selling point for me personally. I'm sick of charging my samsung activewatch 2 every two days (with most features disabled). Since sleep tracking is the 2nd most useful app on the device I always have to make sure it wont die while im sleeping.
Three years on and I still have the GT2e. Getting a bit of screen burn now so 'upgraded' to an alternative Chinese watch a few days ago. Chinese watch now on its way back for a refund a reverted to my excellent GT2e .
Great review and I just purchased it off Amazon today so I'll get it monday . Glad to see that after a month it's still going strong . This watch is gonna replace my gear s3 frontier that finally decided to crap the bed.
@@miket9456 love it so far. It's held up pretty good. Been banged up, submerged in water, mud, and concrete and still going strong. Still gives accurate readings and everything. If I had to say anything bad about it, it would be that the wake up feature is a lil too sensitive. I wear it with the watch face on the inside of my wrist so it comes on a lot and most of the time my sleeve tries to change my watch face. But turning on the always on display fixes that. And doesn't change the battery performance too much. I charge it like every other weekend while I'm in the shower and it hasn't died on me yet
I am thinking of changing from a traditional watch to a smartwatch. Newbie question, does this smartwatch have time laps feature? And can you transfer such time laps data straight to the phone/laptop by Bluetooth?
Great review as always! Thank you! I was just about to check it out in person tomorrow, since my wrists are thin. After your review I'm confident in pulling the trigger and buying it if it fits good. I would like to ask if you happen to know if we are able to use custom watchfaces on this watch?
I hate it when the AOD is different than the actual watch face. While this is better than most of the competition, I'd still rather have a consistent experience
Useful video, thanks. How long should the GT 2e take to connect to GPS when walking/running (and not connected to the phone)? Mine is taking around 5 mins to find a satellite, I am in the countryside, no tall buildings around!
It tracks the steps in means of the amount, not your location and where you walk.

Hi! I have a Samsung Watch, but I want to replace it with this Huawei GT2e primarily because of the much stronger battery life in Huawei's case and because of the way Samsung sits on my hand. Samsung is not comfortable during sleep and it really hurts my hand. I heard there's a problem pairing the Huawei watch with a Samsung phone. I have Samsung Note 10+ and I want to ask if it is enough to install the Huawei Health app from Google Play or I have to do other installations. I wouldn't want to buy a product I can't enjoy because of the incompatibility.
Hi, good review! I want to use it ro run and hear music, without mi cell phone. How good is the sound quality of the music player? Music is very important for me. Thanks
Hi Dan, please compare Huawei Watch GT 2e vs GT Pro. Is GT Pro worth to pay more Dollars? I am not sure which one to choose. I will be glad if you can help.
Hope you do not regret, many users have reported bad accuracy on many settings such as heart rate monitor. This is my third day with it and I can say it is less accurate then last GT model. Try using two watches at the same time and monitor if it is accurate to you.
do not get this watch if you're a swimmer, even though it is able to count laps accurately. it WILL get water damaged after a year of use. There's a huge design defect where the screen and the body sits, as water will eventually seeped through. The screen went fuzzy one day and the display went blank. I took it to service centre. They just replied with "water damaged". All l I did was use it for swimming to count laps. The pool was less than 4 feet deep. Watch was 1.5 years old and repair will cost the full price of the watch plus another 20% on top. Huawei claims their watch is only water resistant, not water proofed. In other words, you can only use it at the sink and other light activities. Forget about using it to count laps as you risk destroying the watch forever.
Heart rate accurate? You're having a laugh. It's most often measuring up to 20-30 beats above true measure whenever I move an inch. The 24 hour graph is ridiculous, you can't tell anything from it + it's a very gross graph, whilst Garmin has (had) a 4 hour precise timeframe.
thank you for the Great review as always. mybe you ment big and not thik . 10.8mm is thin :-) . also i wish they fix 2 problems : 1. HR going to 150 when starting to drive a car . 2. going up 200+ stairs the HR showing 110 insted of 170 :-(
Cant find a good review. This doesnt cover running capability in depth. Can you see your pace, distance and time while running? How does it compare to a Garmin?
btw is costs around $160 (and is available in the US on amazon): amzn.to/3eGnapC
Worth it?
Nice review.

great honest review man .most people don't tell the cons of the watch but you did a good job in doing that . Thanks a lot!!

One feature this watch doesn't has is Strava synch. We can't synch our data with Strava and for me that's a bummer! I would opt t-rex just for that!!
Thanks for this video, very comprehensive and professional.
Got mine free with my p30 pro ne. It's a great watch, better when it's free. Good review.

what about its durability? is it scratch resistant? what is the dial glass made off?
Very well review. 👍
Hi Dan just purchased the GT 2e but can't pair it with the App gallery tried the health app but that's not working can you help please.
Great Vid , is there automatic SPO2 measurement all day like the one in HUAWEI WATCH FIT ?
Great presentation!
does it let you know there are notifications waiting with a dot on the screen like the samsung watches do?
Not that I can tell. It just displays them as they come
yes it does one by one
hi is spo2 continues too??
Do you have to have your phone with you to play music? Or can you connect it to Spotify and earphones a leave phone at home while I run ?
Just bought for 70 bucks. Black Friday
On your main screen, what dose the bottom right orange number mean?
How do you find out if your country allows for custom face clock? I read only some countries allow this feature. I can't get mine to work in the UK.
Huawei announced that it will start introduce third party apps, I think there's one atm but more should come along

I don't think so. You can download a decent selection via the fitness all, but as far as I'm aware, that's it.
Yes you can create a custom face using any pic off your gallery
Hi. Did you buy it? How is your experience? Will U recommend?
Is the 'always on display' watch face dimmed?

How many days 1 charge you use. I.use only 1week
Can you install games on it?
Is it fully compatible with iPhone ?

Im having trouble choosing 1 😅😅😅

Hi Dan, you said it doesn't have a speaker, but does it beep in case you are over or under your target Bpm?
Nope! Can't beep without a speaker
Does it track the steps taken the entire day automatically , i.e. indoor and outdoor walks without selecting the mode ?
It tracks the steps in means of the amount, not your location and where you walk.

It has a mode for weightlifting tracking
Ordered this from Amazon for 99 quid so quite a good deal.

Any wifi connection?
Question. In the sleep records, time is displayed as military time. How do I change that? The time of the watch is in standard time.

So forget this and just grab the better vanilla GT2 with build in speaker to take and make calls.
Hi Dan, thanks for the great review. As you have reviewed Huawei band 4 pro vs Gt2e before. Can I ask which one is better? Please let me know.

They have similar tracking features but the GT2e has a big screen - depends if that is important to you
Is the watch scratch proof

Nice nails by the way mate🤣
caan you get the same waatch faces on all gt2e watches
animations are not very smooth
apple and samsung watches are much smoother
it's a bit laggy tho
One thing you forgot to mention...........its extremely good at tracking you.............all the time you wear it.

Samsung is terrible. Tizen OS does not work well and ability to download apps really does not add anything to the functionality.
