Very nice. It was a smart idea to use contact paper on your board. Since you paint, you can change it when it gets messy. Great job! I'm going to share this with my granddaughter so she can see your journey.

Cool idea. I would have made a more solid wood base. It is a lot of weight for the units and anything you put on it. So you would want to good solid base to spread out the weight. If not it could come undone again where the units meet. After all the ikea shelf units are made of cheep material. So any brackets won't hold that well over time.

This would be great I have everything except the wheels and top, I could use it for cutting patterns and craft standing up. I have to wait until I move into our new location. Thanks for the ideas. Hugs from afar

Brilliant, great vid! I’ve just done a similar fit but was wondering about how to attach some wheels. Now I know, thx. Mine is a little taller as I place two work surfaces on and had a gap between the two Kallax units to store large items. The work surfaces were fixed together with sprung clasp brackets (?) so I can part them if I need to. I’m loving these ideas for Kallax units. Please keep the videos coming.

Solid work and refreshing to see a young woman have a go herself. If only more would try. I'd recommend you think about ply/Osb lining the base to unify it all and get a bit more strength and unity. You did a great job of the top 👏

I definitely need to make a craft table to store all of my craft items. I like this idea very much!! I might even make 2 that can be put together for larger projects, but then easily separated for easier access to all the storage areas.
