You should most definitely play silent bomber. It’s such an excellent game. Had it in a demo disc when I was younger and played it over and over again.
This game blew my mind back in the day. I actually bought the Japanese version of this game at an import store in NYC at the time without knowing a thing about it and it ended up being one of my favorite games on the PS1.
The Chess fight is great. And not as hard as you think - The chess pieces move as they do when playing chess. So with that in mind, you know where to stand to not get hit. I'd love a remastered version/update of this game!
Gotta admit I own it on console and played it almost to end, but had to quit because the final boss being so cheap. I didn't fully understand the game mechanics but learned on the fly. Thanks for pointing out the upgrade mechanics and game play tricks I didn't realize.

Oh? I do know that there were some prints that were fine, mostly the ones that were printed fairly late in its sale run, so lucky there! The final boss is a bit of a pain, I can see why people would not be able to beat him.
@@Chazwhick the fault came from a manufacturing error when they were making the discs not all of them but a large amount of them did suffer from it. The re-release white label version of it does not have that bug. So not as desirable as the black label. The White Label vers is the better option to play this game.
I found a copy of this in a cash converter, i have the pal vers which is a lot cheaper than the usa mostly cause a large portion of those prints had a fault in the manufacturing line that causes the game to stop when it reaches mission 11 cinematic, you can bypass it by skipping it as soon as it starts. Thankfully the copy i got was one that did not have it and was able to play it with no problems, but man is it HARD especially the final boss. uff i died so many times i was crying T.T but i did beat it.
Love Silent Bomber. It's no joke one of the best PS1 action games, its only real flaw being very short

I never heard of Trap gunner, but after looking it up it looks very unique! I'll give that game a go!

A Remaster would be great! Throw in a more up to date controll scheme and you have a possible hit!
Played this a lot back in the day and I still have my copy of the game to this day, really fun and enjoyable.
This game was a freaking masterpiece. So simple and yet so fun. My brother and I played it until our disk got busted
