Christine's COS Sniper Rifle is from Old World Blues, not Dead Money. You find it in a ruined building next to the Little Yangtze Camp because that's where Father Elijah spent some time planning to escape Big Mountain

@@patrikg.6320 I think he does write about how the sights got messed up, and the best he could do was line it up on the right post. And it's honestly not that hard to adjust to once you know the trick.

Euclids C-Finder is actually the best stealth weapon in the game, most people just don’t realize it’s the best for that
So basically turning the game into Clue. "It was, The Courier, in Freeside, with the orbital range finder!"
Fun fact for the Gobi Campaign Sniper, a lot of people theorize that that's the rifle Boone used to... Free his wife and child from the Legion, as the sniper's post you find it in has a perfect view of Cottonwood Cove, and has a good view of the slave cage.
I almost kind of wish there was a key or something in boone's place that would unlock the case.
fun fact chances knife benefits from both the grunt and cowboy perks so if you take both perks you get a 50% extra damage and with perks to increase crit chance/damage and attack speed the dps is absurd

I think that they would stack multiplicatively so it’s more likely that they deal 1.25^2 or roughly 56% extra damage, but you are correct about it being absurd with all the perks.

19:50 fun fact about love and hate, it's the only farmable unique in New Vegas. The viper leader that has them will respawn on a cell reset, and you can get another copy from him. Originally, cazadores were supposed to take over that little burnt out town, but that was never implemented, so the unique got added to the respawn list by mistake.
Actually they do I returned there after that on my melee build and saw so so many cazadores there.

Ulysses deserves it for how confusing his motives are. I had to play Lonesome Road 4 times to figure out what he actually expected to get out of drawing you there.
The front ironsights on the survivalist's rifle are misaligned on purpose for story reasons given the rifle's age and constant use by its original owner, but you just use the right post of the bent front sight instead and you'll hit things just fine.

You have severely underestimated Compliance Regulator. This is a weapon that will singlehandedly break the entirety of New Vegas by trivializing every single encounters, group or single target.
That Gun, Paciencia, Lucky and Light shining in Darkness are in my Top. Using VATS with a high Luck stat with these is just fun

Gotta disagree with the Embrace of the Mantis King! Ranking. It’s got a x3 crit multiplier with 64 crit damage. Been doing an unarmed build and it’s been my mainstay for basically the entire game until I can get the very best.
Edit: oh cmon Cleansing Flame is a beast! It’s DoT damage scales off your energy weapons skill.

Totally agree! Embrace is a fantastic powerhouse for unarmed crit builds and I find myself staying with it for a large chunk of the game on those runs.
Survivalists rifle I always get around 3000 to 4000 rounds for it, and that’s because if you’re on the good side of the great khans, their armorer, located in a basement in one of the ruined houses outside the camp, sells 12.7 in DROVES. Like I’m pretty sure I can get 300-500 rounds from them daily, maybe even more.
Survivalist’s rifle has carried me through a bunch of the game and even into deathclaw territory, it’s that good
A fullly kitted gun runners 12.7 SMG goed wild with that, like 350dps

Chance's Knife + Implant GRX makes every fight not a fight. It's pretty incredible honestly completely broken.
It's like one of those cyberpunk hyper chromed up ninja builds haha

As a correction, you get the COS rifle from Old World Blues in the ruined building to the east of the prison camp.
Edit: The Red Glare also has unique modifications you can put onto it to make it even more insane.
My head cannon for the weathered 10mm pistol.
I've always seen my courier and Lone wander as the same character, so when I start with this pistol I just imagine it's the gun Amata gave me back in vault 101. I was pretty young if I remember right and it's something that just stuck with me so I artificially inflated it to best pistol ever. This was back when I played the game as a self insert rather than a specific character to do some light RP to get different results and endings. Although I used other pistols like "That Gun" The 10mm stayed in my pack.
Fun fact, if you opt out of wild waste land, when you go to big mountian you get a option to chage your starting perks. Where you can take wild wasteland, and the ycs and the alien blaster in the same run
No you can’t. It’s actually the only event in the game that you can’t cheese with big mountain because the moment you choose wild wasteland it spawns the ship and vice versa.

The boxing gloves are great for 1v1 encounters actually, it's a heck of a lot easier to destroy - for example - the legendary bloatfly, while they're unconscious, just switch to a different weapon after they pass out and go ham
had this thought while watching the video. It would have been really funny if Maria had a secret stat, where it did less damage when targeting enemies heads

Golden Gloves are a must for every playthrough I do. There's a special challenge for killing Benny with Maria and I find it much easier to knock him out and swipe it than shoot/whack it out of his hand, sometimes I just hit his hand or arm and kill him by mistake if I try to use a normal gun.

The Golden Gloves work like how hand-to-hand combat does in Morrowind, however in Morrowind, hand-to-hand is broken because of how accuracy works and because you can stunlock people infinitely.

New Vegas taught me that I really am a Kleptomaniac, because I knew I was NEVER going to use most of the special weapons I found, and I really needed caps, yet I chose to sell my shotgun ammo instead of the special Doctor gloves I got in Big MT, because it was a named item and therefore special, even though I would NEVER use it.

the LE bb gun gets a huge buff if you have the better criticals perk and the neutral karma level 50 perk its crit damage becomes better than any other gun by far also its silent making it great for sneak attacks

The Sprtel-wood can be absolutely devastating with a full energy build. Shoot someone in a crowd and just watch as they all explode. Ammo is a bit of a concern though. I always use it in those gank fights the legion likes to throw at you.

Man they really made the weapons truly unique in this one. Look at the weapons skins. Imagine if Obsidian worked on Fallout 4 or 76 with the modifiers. That would be disgusting.

Euclid’s C-finder is an option one can present during Veronica’s personal quest. In her argument, she basically tells the elder that every Brotherhood member who died at Helios One died over ‘glorified artillery’.

Missing laser pistol does have one great upside: it can be taken into Dead Money. Combine that with meltdown and you can kill ghost people by automatically dismembering them with that perk
Let’s get this straight: if you’re playing new Vegas without exploits the C finder is trash. If you’re using the different ammo type glitch and you’re using 10mm rounds to fire this thing endlessly, it’s AWESOME

The YCS/186 and Sprtel-Wood 9700 was my loadout for my first playthrough three years ago. One-shot sniping deathclaws at the Quarry Junction has never been so fun.
At 38:16 you say Christine's rifle is in dead money when in fact it is found in old world blues not dead money. I would know because I don't own the dead money DLC and if anyone doesn't believe me you can look on the fallout wiki. Im not mad, im just disappointed.

@@BT0WN If anything it makes it easier to justify its rank - Old World Blues is far less punishing to get into, get some crazy gear and get out of nice and quick. Especially once you know where stuff you want is.
loved the vid, but damn, Hyperbreeder that low? Maybe its just that laser builds in this game are broken as hell but that thing can carry you through the whole game cause once you get crit chance increases its basically just a free crit machine

The MF Hyperbreeder is much better than just "okay" - it's actually really good in an energy build because you can get the "Set Lasers for Fun"-perk with it and later use it as a back-up weapon or sidearm for your gauss rifle/upgraded laser rifle/tri-beam. I certainly would put it in the "good" tier, the damage is actually phenominal early on.
When I played my hardcore very hard guns run, little devil absolutely shreds once you regularly craft hand load ammo, as the JHP is a lot more efficient at increasing damage regardless of their armor. Basically, you want AP rounds on lower damage weapons so that their DPS won't get stomped by an enemy's defense, but higher damage weapons usually won't need AP rounds to kill those same enemies. Lil devil also has a nice boost to crit chance and damage compared to the standard 12.7 pistol, which makes it pretty busted until you finish honest hearts for Joshua's pistol.
I also personally don't agree with the bozar pick as it gets a drop off in effectiveness at around level 35-40 in my run, as the enemies just get too beefy and stashing AP rounds for a bullet hose like that gets in your weight.
So far I think the rest can be relatively reasonable other than those two I've mentioned.

To me, the Paciencia is #1 hands down. You can easily and consistently pump out criticals even without sneak, and therefore melt practically any group, armored or unarmored. Its ammo is widely available, its iron sight magnification and accuracy makes it easy to snipe but also use at short range, and I can also get it super early in the game (caps are comically easy to acquire).
The low magazine count hurts but Fallout NV has comically quick reload times, its only slightly above double that of racking the bolt.
The thing that pushes it over the edge for me is the fact its a gun that uses the Guns skill, which means you have a wider range of weapons as backup that use a wider variety of ammunition incase you run out/need to switch quickly
Y'know what would have been a really cool touch for Euclid's C-finder? If you activate Archimedes before meeting the kid, he'll accidentally obliterate some poor locals or a nearby building while he's messing around with it. Would've made for a cool little 'consequence' I think.
fun little build i do with greased lightning: you get survival, medicine, and unarmed to 100 and have a 10 in strength, endurance, and at least 7 in agility. you get the slayer perk for increased attack speed, some turbo, the turbo implant, some slasher, and make some rushing water from the campfire. congratulations, you've become a roided out monster who can punch at the speed of light in practically stopped time.

If you combine greases lightning with rushing water you can become god
I suppose that Blade of the East is in the unusual position of being improvable by mods without actually having the weapon itself altered (FPGE+a quest or new land mod that makes sense to do after 2nd Hoover Dam, so you have something to use it on for more than a minutes without having to cheat it in early).
Unpopular opinion: I think Dead Money is the best story DLC. It has more interesting philosophical implications to me than the other DLC, the loot is interesting, the enemies are interesting to fight, the road blocks set up by the clouds are interesting, the leveldesign is honestly its weakpoint, but the companions have interesting personalities and I enjoyed the whole rugpull of not being able to continue your powertrip with endgame gear by losing everything and having to rebuild a completely new loadout offers a new challenge when you're already in your 30s or 40s at the time of starting the DLC.

13:20 thing was a lifesaver in Harcore mode, finally let me take down assasin squads after killing vulpes early game
i just love the ones with unique textures, couldnt care less about actual usefulness, but it that gun looks different than normal i love it
EMP guns also obliterate Power Armor enemies as well as the robots; so they’re while still situational, extremely effective
Yeah... Too bad the Pulse Gun doesn't work against NCR Salvaged armor...
Golden Gloves can knock out Deathclaws so they're useful early to mid game
The Abilene Kid l.e. bb gun Can do 240 damage on a sneak critical and is good for opening fights and preserving ammo even late game, especially useful if using something fragile like the LAER. With a perfect build it does 140 damage 2 out of 3 shots (66%) for a dps of 168 without chems. It weighs 2lbs which is nothing, and its ammo is cheap, plentiful, and weightless even in hardcore. It stays in my inventory the entire game. You also never have to reload in fights with its 100 bb tube, so it's damage per minute is higher compared to other weapons when you factor in the downtime you're saving not reloading. To put it below the Caravan Shotgun and Recompense of the Fallen is INSANE
Embrace of the Mantis King is S tier with its 3X CRIT CHANCE, that's one of the highest in the game for any weapon. You can easily get it to 100% crit chance, which is utterly broken. Dealing a guaranteed 170 dmg per attack, bypassing all armor since crits ignore all dt/dr
Old Glory is also S tier because of its second lowest ap cost of all blunt melee weapons, paired with highest critical damage of any blunt melee weapon, beating out the likes of Oh Baby! You can't let personal preference get in the way of it objectively being one of the best melee weapons in the game, putting it below Nephi's driver is Fucking INSANE. It has a Vats special move doing 200% damage, on top of the vats 100% melee damage boost. If you hit a stealth critical "Grand Slam", Old Glory does the single most damage of any weapon in the game, beating out a FUCKING MINI NUKE with tiny tots, the most powerful ammo type. You put this weapon below the STARTING GAME BROAD MACHETE
Dr. Mobius' glove can get to a 98% crit chance making it busted
The compliance regulator is one of the most broken weapons in the game with a crit build, it excels at exactly what you said its short coming is. It destroys packs of oncoming deathclaws exactly like the riot shotgun with the “and stay back” perk
I love the Rat Slayer a much as the next courier, I know the work it can put in with 100% crit chance and hp ammo, but putting it above the Gobi is Blasphemy.
Survivalist Rifle, the Sight is dead accurate, you just need to know how to use it, instead of shooting between the posts, shoot aiming only the right hand post on target.
