I love it. It’s obviously not the most practical car out there but it’s the driving experience for me. I like shifting the gears and the boxer engine sound. It has a few goodies like Cobb and exhaust and some minor cosmetic/paint issues but after watching all ur videos I’m confident in tacking some stuff in the summer. It’s had the timing belt done at a performance shop at 62 xxxkms and it’s only at 100xxx km. I think I did okay 25k Canadian and it’s the top model sunroof, sound system only 2015 tho so that’s the only lame part but I’m happy. Thanks for your reply!
@@Fackler91 hahah that’s too funny the only other car I was kinda looking was Honda civic si , but it’s dam near the same price of an sti so why not get awd. And @carlos I don’t think I would ever buy a rotary lol unless rob dahm built it aha
I absolutely love this car, personally i would of stuck with the original colour i think it looked mint in the original blue but hey its your ride you do whatever you want + it's wrap so easily reversible 😎 Amazing build @smedia 👏 love it
your videos are genuinely the reason I got into subarus! bugeye sitting in garage with all the parts I need to fix it until I get a little better in post-op and get back into it. Thank you!

Good job man 👍💪 after the 2 GC8 I also wanted to make a nice STI with the 6 cylinder, but unfortunately in Switzerland you can't drive on the road with these heavy modifications 😭
@@Smeedia yes, but essentially you need a lot of documents issued by the importer (in this case from Subaru) which certify that the vehicle with those modifications complies with all safety and emissions standards. these approvals exist without problems for classic accessories such as rims/tyres, mufflers/shock absorbers but when you go for heavier and more structural modifications it becomes difficult for the authorities to accept and furthermore it is very expensive. for this friend I look at your projects with admiration and envy......in a certain way I am with you 👍💪
I can remember when you cut the vents in the hood long before you thought about the EG. Crazy thinking how far this has come and how comparatively little progress I've made on my own car
These are positive moments, the uplifting moments which should be celebrated. But the greatest learning comes from ............failure and what didn't work, what wrong turns were made, where setbacks were encountered or created by you or the actions of others. There are two sides to every coin. Discussing and showing "the dark side" of this build in a brief summary, with associated clips would garner a lot of interest. You could even rank the top ten things you would have done differently. Most of all though it is now time to enjoy the fruits of your hard labour. 👍
Everything i learned from you, bader, Devin, I was able to build my STI to 630whp on an emtron all by myself! Also gotta give Remmy a shoutout for what not to do 😅
Man you really have come along way with it! I'm very impressed at everything you have accomplished my dude! Very beautiful car! Hope to see more like that from you! I need to get started on my Audi!!!! 😅
I bought a subaru cause of your content been following for a long time and bought this car about year ago ( its 2004 impreza wagon) but i swapped in a 2005 wrx motor and trans and have been slowly getting it ready and running (this is the first car i modify and car i really work on ) all im missing now is the rear chassis harness and its gonna be dailyable
@@Smeediaits been painful cause its my first time doing something like this , and as i go further on there are small things is didnt do (swapping my rear chassis harness) so the car is almost done just missing final touches
Hey, do you have a complete list of all the parts that you used? I just rebuilt my subframes front and rear for my SVX and all cleaned up. Planning on sending my block to out front and going with a remote turbo. Not going for 1K but something fun. And yes. Going manual. Don’t need to send the 4eat to space😂
And to think i still want a STI,i may actually get one after i pay off the acura a little more, depends on how my life is going is say 3 years hopefully

@@Smeedia it's just the tech inspection day. I got a chance to help out with inspecting all of the different rally cars that are participating this weekend so that was actually pretty badass. The Big Wang needs to come back imo. Especially since the power is there to justify it

Pop the timing covers off and check the tensioner. If it’s failed I’d do a leak down test to check valves. If they’re good then replace the timing 🫡
