Kinda hate how they compare humour to experiencing spirituality/God because the thing is, what I find funny, I will not force on others to also make them find it funny too, I realize it's personal to my tastes. But so often people try to say that God being real and their religion is the only true one, and try to force it on other people... And when you start trying to force something on other people, trying to get them to your side, you need to actually explain it and reasons and everything, you can't just say "well I can't explain it, you have to FEEL it" because in that case, stop trying to force it on me then if you don't have reasons to back it up. Same as I wouldn't force my sense of humour on others because I know I can't back up my experience with logical reasonings. (also I would add, it's kind of funny that comparison, I think it goes against everything he was trying to say since I would argue, no you can't analyze a joke itself on it's own. You only can understand why it was funny by studying the psychology of the person who found it funny. And in the same way, you can really only understand god and why people believe what they do, by studying them, it doesn't actually say anything about god itself, but instead the person believing in those beliefs)
It seems to me that that's actually a GOOD reason to compare them, as no one should really be trying to force either of those things on other people. Also, spirituality and religion are two different things. Religion tends to be what people try to force on others, while spirituality is more about the actual experience of being connected with a higher being/oneself. I think this is why it was compared to humor; both are experiences that are technically explainable, but at the cost of the experience itself. I can tell a joke, and if you overanalyze it, you won't actually experience the joke. You could be meditating, but if you explained to me what you were doing, you would no longer be meditating. Maybe not a perfect analogy, but I think it fits pretty well.
@@resonant_logic7542 I actually think it's not completely true, that every joke stops working when over analyzing it. I for example tend to find ridiculous concepts really funny and they profit from being over analyzed.
@@remrevo3944 I do the same thing! I’m not sure if that would fall into the category of “a joke” or not, but at the very least that’s probably not what the quote was talking about. It seems to be referring to when you say something that’s intended to be funny, the person to whom you say it doesn’t understand why it’s meant to be funny, and then trying to explain it to them. They may get some humor out of it, but explaining the joke kind of ruins the experience of the joke.
A little late in the game to do it, but would of been cool to overlay in the corner of the screen the current world puzzle you are working on so viewers have an idea of what you are going for.
Stares at orange paths, continually refers to them as purple. :-P

Windmeal and booey, add another to the list for strange pronounciation!
Omg you are going to break that boat, making it go back and forth, back and forth
that's what she said
The audio log was a very complicated way of saying "If you have to explain it, it isn't funny."
11:56 Seven, actually. But the idea is the important thing.

Fuck what's that music during the sped up section...
Titan souls?
+Ginger Dwarf Yup, I think about Obello's theme a lot when I need music.
+Keith Ballard Good stuff.
Could you, please, add obelisk screenshot to the part of the video, that is about searching those particular puzzles from the obelisk?

Anyone have a reference to music used during the boat sped up sequence?
Ben A bit late, but it sounds very much like Witcher 3
