It's a good puzzle game, but I think people are afraid to criticize it because they want to be perceived and perceive themselves as smart. It's like people criticizing school are assumed to be unable to get good grades. So I think the game could improve in a number of ways. Although solving puzzles is rewarding in and of itself I think the game would have been better with some kind of overarching narrative that is furthered after every solved puzzle. Even most of the puritans who argue for no rewards except the joy of solving the puzzle themselves, would, I think, agree that the game would have been worse if you removed the lasers and how solving puzzles gave you access to the mountain. I rage quit it when the puzzles just became nasty. The thing about obscure stuff is that you can literally make a puzzle more and more obscure to the point that nobody will ever find it.
