Love the videos. You do a great job on the mods but I feel that a lot of guys watch you for instructional reasons. For this you should show some better clean care. The injector cross tubes do have a small screen in them but I recommend you put the injectors and cross tubes in a ziplock and cap the fuel rail. Having a small piece of debris stick an injector and burning down a cylinder on a parent bore ISB block is pricey and negates some of the reasons you put additional quality fuel filters on. Keep up the good work. I wished I could more easily mod my '16 in California but wouldn't give up my 4th gen back seat for anything
That truck is sweet!!! Does tweeking the engine negatively impact towing reliability ? For me reliability is more important than trying to get more HP. Or does tweeking the engine possibly make it more reliable? My only experience with diesels was my Ferris (CAT) & my IH tractors so I left them stock and all had tons of power for my needs.

I live in Michigan, I work for Chrysler in Detroit. Chrysler is in the process of swapping the Ram 1500 plant, and will be up and running after the New Year. My neighbor works at the plant their swapping the Ram to. They’re already building the new model for the 19s. The 5th gen is right around the corner, I’ve been ready to buy a new Ram as well but I’m just holding off till new year lol. I’m sure it’ll be released at the 2018 Detroit auto show

I have a 2002 Dodge Ram turbo diesel with 80k original miles I love the look of that truck! It came through with 16's would it be ok to put 20's on it?
I put cal tracs on my single cab 2wd 6.4 powerstroke it went from spinning rollin 50 to not spinning to bad after 20-30 with a locker in it.

Hey Greg i am about to 2nd gen swap my 2018 Laramie. Thinking about a S464 and EFI Live Tuning. Do u think that Turbo Setup will give any problems Spooling because i Tow all the time. Around 10,000 Lbs all the Time. And i have the 68RFE. 35x12.50x22 Tires and 3.42 gears.

Black... yea it looks great when it's clean. But I'll never own another black vehicle. Shows any spec of dust, dirt, water spots. And swirl marks and rock chips really standout.
Drew w same, but I use a black wax which helps to cover the lighter scratches and rock chips.
The Brilliant Black never really looked black to me. My 06 Night Runner had a crap finish from day one like a haze. My 11 had a clear coat but I think there was a shortage on the colored flakes and the Brilliant Black was a little deeper for a few months. It's a choir to wax no doubt. The 06 was easier had less surface to wax but never looked real dark in sunlight. I used the black wax maybe once every three months on the 06 and never on the 11. Had the 06 for 5 yrs the 11 for 3 yrs. It's gotta have a clear coat to stay shiny and good wax or ceramic coat to stay clean. It's definitely White paint Black interior from here on out way less work.

Hello there! First timer here! I do feel you ramble on but don’t take it personally. I also have black trucks, have had them for a while now, but plan on retiring to Florida and the sun is just too strong! However I also love the Pearl White on the Laramie Rams! With the Brown/Frost Ivory interiors! I’m amazed you don’t use air wrenches and cordless drills for dissembling! But keep up the good work! Stay safe and have fun!

The refresh for the 1500 is supposed to happen in the 2019 model year and then the 2500 and 3500 will be the 2020 model year. So your hunch is probably correct.
So, does the owner live in an area where there are no emissions tests? I would love to get rid of the DPF and DEF, but in Texas there is fine up to 25,000 and a criminal penalty for knowingly selling it.

Why do you remove the injectors, lines, and air horn... looks like there is plenty of room. Incase the torque wrench slips?
Watching the next video... I think that answered my question... injectors need to come out to compress springs, assuming cross over tubes need to come out to remove injectors.

John Calvert is awesome. Best customer service and product in the industry. I had an issue with the guy measuring my g1 square dodge, he got it wrong twice on the link length, John swapped them out twice at no charge. Didn't even charge me for shipping, can't say enough about Calvert.

I am live in Canada hear they have redone a bit on the body on 2500 and 3500 with the ram girl I know for one thing tho u need to get is the hi output Cummings and delete the def System right away it takes so much power
LA auto show next year they should be showing the new ram 1500 so probably a year after they will bring in the new heavy duty trucks. They are looking to be absolutely amazing and have all of the modern tech inside like adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, Apple car play/android auto, and just a newer more modern look and I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to be the first with 1000lb/ft of torque out of the cummins!! Can't wait until they come out, but until then I'll enjoy my 2016 ram 1500 hemi and if I need a diesel I can use my dad 2014 ram 2500.
First. I love watching your videos I am a dodge Cummins enthusiast as well. I really like your craftsmanship and the quality of your work. But.. why didn't you cover up those open ports on the fuel rail? a few specks of dirt would mean certain injector death. Thanks for sharing your video,
I'm getting a 2014 2500 laramie longhorn. Gonna delete it, get ride of the grid heater and just drive it all day every day. Gonna get a Titan 52 gallon fuel tank for it too, better range better everything. Also Gonna get a tonneau cover and put smoke stacks on it with the bed cover gaskets they have out there. Just a 4.5 inch stack, still loud and straight piped as it should be, but not stupidly large like most people do. Gonna be a 4 inch to 4.5 inch pipe too. Probably bullydog and smarty systems in the future as well.

The 2nd Generation Trucks are the best looking even though they don’t have the nice interiors and features of the newer trucks.
I still love my early 98 12 valve since it’s a fully mechanical engine without all of the emissions crap.

Hahaha never ever will I own a 4gen. Haha all jokes aside. I'm super glad you got it. Just wish it was stick. But eh I know the towing is alot less then auto. So good choice for sure. Better to stay legal and get the dually rather then your g56. Love your stuff man. Just discovered this video. What does going to Mexico to get the truck deleted mean? Also how is everyone getting through emissions with their deleted trucks?
Almost a year, but maybe this will help. 'Going to Mexico' is an old term for outlaws escaping the law during the wild west. For diesel guys today, getting your truck deleted is technically illegal, hence the use of the saying. As far as the testing part, some states don't do emissions checks, so that's how they get away with it. No checks, no problems. Hope this helps.
please go alittle more indepth with doing the valve spring swap and valve lash adjustments please. Im about to do my 2nd gen swap and there isn't a whole lot of in depth on valve lash setting. thank you

Oh god... not cleaning before you took that shit off. Nothing like getting debris down inside your engine when you fire it up. BTW hopefully an incorrect torque setting squished your gasket but did you check for metal flush tolerances? Seen that when someone sprayed cool water on a hot engine causing metal to bow and flex.
