    did you test the correct way with a vacuum gauge on the 'close' position ? These are designed to 'fail open' .
    I have some of the early production 17t turbos, and before I installed them was I actually had to tension my arm as it was not adjusted to close at the specified vacuum, and I put anti-seize on all of the pivot points before installation.
    The way you're demonstrating you didnt show the wastegate flapper. With the arm 'on' it is supposed to be open.

    If that's such a huge issue you can always use the stock vacuum actuator off your old turbos. They would have the correct length rod and of course test them before you put them on the car

    I spent 60 bucks and replaced them with BWM actuators. One of the China actuators
    also needed a good bit more vacuum to close full.

      I assume the bmw actuators are longer than the China ones for better adjustment?

      I did the same from fcp euro and ordered his journal coller ect kit from the previous video he did on these turbos. Debur too. Waiting 2 weeks until my bot-lons arrive to install. I'll post a video 👍

    Hi Austin, i recently replaced my audi k03 turbo with a brandnew borgwarner unit. i was too lazy and forgot to put oil in the catridge before installing oil feed line installation. I did however cranked the engine for 10secs 3 times with ignition disconnected. I ran over 500 miles and didnt notice any problems yet. do you think my turbo will blow up soon or What i did was just enought during install?

      @@turbolabamerica my friends 17tees was struggling to hold 20 psi target and it turned out the actuators were the weak point so after he changed them out with his old OE ones it was sorted, but being said, I think the china actuators were just set wrong

      yes, the original actuators will solve the problem. A pair of new oems only cost 60 bucks though.

    Any reviews or your opinion videos on VTT turbos? Are they really chinese, ebay, or American made turbos? Are they what they claim to be in thier description?

      Already made your choice. However, for the next person reading this. VTT has a bad reputation for following through on warranty work, generally, the consensus is to stay away from their stuff. The turbos are primarily Chinese
      The same with pure turbos. I believe the Pure 600s, their very first entry levels, are just Chinese junk. However, their high flows are supposedly really good!

      @@BEAMERNOOB mine lasted 32,000 miles! My rbs are still going strong having 30,000miles on them! You could smog it with a single! Just install a cat n don’t have it pokin out the bonnet!

      This is the same as the first version that I made a video on. One of the companies claims to be revising the turbos the way I suggest on the first videos I made.

    The new versions are crap. They are closed half way when fully open and boost drop way too much uptop, like the actuator suddenly overextends and gives up

      I have a set of 17t's recently installed at an indy shop that exclusively works on turbo cars and my car is only getting 12psi with this set up and we haven't figured it out. They have tried everything!!! Maybe this is why...the turbos are junk???

      @@EnthusiastRC we figured it out. The included inlets are crap. The collapse. Adding a set of dcis mostly fixed it. But u need reinforced inlets and an intake, that's what it was on this car anyway

      @@holdingboost2024 wastegate and bov are not even in the same system. One is exhaust. One is charged air. You can't adjust them to each other.
