  • I broke my knees!
At least that is how it felt. SEVEN Months ago I posted a video about how excited I was to run The Hood To Coast Relay here in Oregon. I had 14 days to train and to go from a runner who's longest run was 3.1 miles to a runner who could run 7 miles. Well... I did it! I completed all three legs of the race (running two) then my knees stopped working.
I have been on a negative self talk spiral since then but, because of encouragement from some of you, I am back. I am ready to put me first again and I am ready to share the good, the bad and the ugly about this Bariatric journey and my decision to have weight loss surgery.
Thank you for sticking with me! You are my hero :)
Thank you for going on this awesome ride with me :) I truly enjoy sharing my experience with you so you have all the knowledge you need in order to make the right decision for you and to be successful in your decision no matter what you choose.

I agree. I think you look younger and healthier. I have found your videos so helpful in my journey. Real videos and insight. More depth and less click bait.
      Thank you so much!

So #1, you're still awesome! #1, you're still inspiring and encouraging. #1 you are still human, thus 2 steps forward and 4 steps back is bound to happen.
We are all grateful for your realness. I'm sure this video was hard to make.
I'm so sorry for you injury 😞, it sucks and happens to almost everyone that goes hard. (You are not alone, what happened to you matters)
Falling isn't shameful or bad, not getting back up is when bad comes in. Crying, scared, crawling, or skipping- WE GO FORWARD ❤️‍🔥
Definitely take it slow going back. But don't look backwards at what was, start at what IS and just go day by day.
You will ABSOLUTELY get back into a routine. This is you against you and you absolutely got this.
Keep showing up, even if it's sucky! Pist, crying, or numb....SHOW UP.
Go at your own pace, you don't owe the media world/blogs anything sugar! You heal you. I'm praying for renewed peace, grit, joy, and courage for you🙏🏼🌷

Thanks for sharing your update. I can totally relate to how life can go in so many directions. It's tough!! Even though you've had some struggles since, doing Hood to Coast is an AMAZING accomplishment! You are taking some strong steps to get into the space you want to be in. I hope it goes well for you! Good luck on the climb back to where you want to be!

I have had a set back too! I had a total hysterectomy in July 2022 and I have gained 30 pounds…so frustrating! I mentally am feeling better. I am working on getting refocused and hoping I can lose weight again!

I get it! Slipping back is so easy to do. It is a lot of work to be successful in your weight loss efforts. Focus on being healthy and consuming food that will feed and fuel your body.
