My grandmother used to tell me stories about how the Cubs would one day win it all and break their long drought. She would often see them on TV through the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s, but they never won a championship. On October 20th, 2016, my grandma had a major stroke and never came out of a coma. 10 days later, during game 5 of the World Series, she died. It is still shocking to me that she waited a long time for them to win, but she died just a few days before they broke the curse
I learned that my Grandma died when I was at Wrigley in 2014 my dad felt that was the best place to tell me ❤️ she lived 85 years and never got to see them win. I know she was watching from heaven in 2016 ❤️❤️❤️
I may not care for the Cubs. But you gotta respect the fight they had against Cleveland being down 3-1 and erasing the “curse”. Imagine being at wrigley during this world series as a sports fan oh man it would be insane
Why Indians who could have easily won this game all they had to do was hit single in the 7th inning and it would have been tied and also in the 9th......but it was against Aroldis Chapman😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🤬😭😭😭🤬😭🤬
If I recall correctly, that Indian's run in the second would be their last lead of the series. It took a couple innings to erase that, but after that, they would never lead again.
Didn’t realize it until today but this was the last game at wrigley with the bullpens in foul territory

no doubt she helped them win from heaven
@@user-eg5tu2qx7p hahahahhahahaah

I still can't believe we won this series. Go Cubs.
What comeback games from the Cubs tho
5:40
John Smoltz: Cubs need to put something on the board right here
Kris Bryant: Ight bet
I remember that and reacting immediately lol

KB homer changed everything
4:00 Always felt like this play was the Anti-Bartman. Same spot, other side. But Heyward caught this one this time
Nobody every mentions this. The Cubs' luck turned around after this play.
That’s what the cubbies fan that restrained himself there was thinking too.
Lindor and Ramirez still deserve one 😪
10:51 "Napoli will hold at second base with a single"
What's wrong with that.... LOL Neat trick, eh?
10:52 notice the commentating error?
Chapman 8 out save was impressive, especially him having to bat. I do think this affected him in game 7. He must of been Gassd

You are correct
Baur still blames himself for losing this WS
Well, he did lose Games 2 and 5
so do I
Imagine Rizzo went deep to Wrigley would been going crazy
Is it me or does Roberto Perez kinda look like Alex verdugo when verdugo had a beard
3:09 bro was safe by a mile
THERE. WILL. BE. A. GAME. 6.
There was no doubt in this Tribe fan's mind that CLE would blow it, as they have so many times before.
Just realized that rizzos foot wasn’t even on the bag and still got the out 3:07
I thought baez was something special but it was all just hype over my eyes. He wasnt trash but not much more
He will forever be a legend in Chicago but Baéz may possibly be the most unethical batter in history
Dodgers would never 👎🏻🤦🏻♂️... pisses me off
