I see your concern and probably that is what they are doing. I wonder how this compares to Meta Workroom.
this is a must for a digital nomad, no need to carry monitors or extra screens, just carry a my quest 3 and laptop. This has really changed the game and untethered me from location and even hoteling at workstations
how do you pack it all? Can you fit everything in a carry on or just a personal item for onebag travel?
I just picked up the Pro, and my time in Immersed has improved. I didn't yet host a zoom call using the active whiteboard. I like that idea a lot.

the price of the quest pro should drop significantly starting sunday. 1500 down to 1000 usd. so it will be a good time to jump in.
Quest pro is underappreciated. Those lenses are the best in the industry bar none
Arguably, you are quite correct, for now. That said, I do plan to purchase Apple Vision Pro, upon its release in early '24. I suppose that its lenses will be noticeably superior to Meta Pro lenses. That's how tech progress goes.
i have nooo idea how to resize screens until i watch this. Please put it in the updated tutorial
Immersed has come a long way since it first launched! Productivity in XR is why I got interested in VR. Immersed is hands down the best tool for me, and it's great to see that it's constantly evolving. I really wish Meta would release their Codec Avatars before Apple releases their first headset with something similar. It will be a great selling point to have realistic avatars, and no doubt, a competitor as Apple will use that in their first product.

In the mixed reality setting mine is black and white, how do I change it to color
I tried it our several times, but my mouse cursor was jumping all around. Seems to be a known problem, but they did not manage to fix it for months. Unusable for me, so I put it away...

My Meta Quest Pro is due to arrive today and I was researching which app to use, Immersed or Horizon Workrooms. Immersed seems better suited for my purposes. I’m extremely impressed and can’t wait to get started. Good work 🏆🏅

I’ve been using Immersed and I find it’s pretty good. Lots of features although there are some bugs but they will be fixed via future updates I’m sure. Immersed has excellent customer support provided through it’s Discord channel. The members and staff on there are always quick to help with any issues.
I also tried Horizon Workrooms which was also good however it’s limited in features at the moment. I’m sure it will also improve with time.
@@carlbonsu I have gone back to horizon now, immersed has more features however they are still buggy, keyboard tracking just isn't up to it.

I’ll wait for the bugs in Immersed to be fixed before going back. You were right, Horizon Workrooms isn’t perfect either but I found the bugs in Immersed irritating after a couple of days. They’ll both improve with time.
Thanks a lot for such a useful video! Especially for the keyboard part. My old proven Logitech K800 is finally working with Quest 2 headset and I'm able to type this comment right from immersed reality )

Hey need detailed instructions of how you made your macbook keyboard show in immersed.
Can’t wait to get my vr set up I am worried my work softwares won’t work since I have to go into a Remote Desktop to access them,
I love immersed but it became unusable a couple of months ago with my hands flashing constantly and moving around whenever they are over the keyboard. 😢 Worked perfectly before that update and has never been fully fixed.

Estou aguardando o meu Quest 2 só para usar o Immersed. Fiquei muito impressionado com a proposta, é tudo o que sempre sonhei (pelo menos nos videos que assisti). Só vou torcer para a resolução ser boa o suficiente para que eu leia meus textos da prova.

@@poweranalista Não foi uma experiência boa. A falta de resolução na tela e o peso do aparelho atrapalham muito o conforto do uso do dispositivo. Agora só resta esperar o Vision Pro da Apple, pq o resto foi decepcionante.
@@joaoaox5485 Essa parte da falta de resolução melhorou muuuuito com o Quest 3. Mas, mesmo assim, eu sinto a minha 3070ti chorando enquanto roda o Immersed, cooler constantemente no máximo. A idéia de trabalhar no VR é bem legal, mas acho que ainda não estamos lá mesmo, quem sabe daqui uns anos.
is it possible to set up a vertical monitor with immersed and with white board, pdf import available?
Yes you can set up a portrait monitor (Vertical). You can do that in the immersed agent. No pdf import available but with Visor there will be a lot of new improvements to the whiteboard after release.

Having used the Apple Vision Pro, my expectations are high. So far I am really impressed with what Immersed is capable of. I need to work on upping the resolution of my virtual screens and then there will be no looking back. 😊

Hey mi virtual monitors seem to be low res even If I set the resolution to 4k on my m2 pro mac, I have the free plan , and I can see the pixels in the text while reading . Can someone help me set the right resolution and screen size ?

Hay can I connect two computers to my meta pro in immersed . If not will you add this for me I’m a day trader and we need to work on more then one computer at a time
I see my desktop but without any shortcuts, if I click on an application I continue to just see my desktop wall paper but the app never shows up. Do you know what I might be doing wrong?

what resolutions are used with the Quest2, with the Pico4
i assume, not nativ (+ some supersampling for the barrel-distortion-caclulations)

Meta has their own supersampling we implemented. We created our own for Pico

May i know how can i change the resolution and portrait mode on mac devices? If possible, i do not wish to change the settings in mac as it will not change back automatically when im disconnected from immersed. Thank you.
You can change the resolution and screen orientation in the Immersed Desktop Agent. Agent > settings
so I see it looks like you're using a Quest Pro, and also usually use a Macbook... I have the quest 2 and usually use a PC for work - any issue with that? or would you suggested going for a quest pro - or even waiting until quest 3? thanks, great vids for immersed, just downloaded it on my quest!
Hi Derek! Quest 2 + PC will work! However, Quest Pro and Quest 3 are upgrades for sure.

Can this or any other program do a screen that follows you in mixed reality? I want to put the news on while I do chores and be able to see it without manually grabbing the screen to move it as I move. In other words, something that will stay in view somewhere automatically no matter where I look or walk to.

How do I lock my screens and portals?? I keep accidently moving them all around while hitting my vape, or grabbing a drink of water or just accidently etc? (quest 2 w/ hand tracking)
There isn’t a way to lock you’re screens, but you can disable your hands by facing your palm towards you and pinching your ring finger and thumb together. Your hands will become darker.

Not simultaneously. That feature is on our roadmap

Do all immersed features work with the immersed visor?
I simply use Virtual Desktop. I have only one screen, and no fancy passthrough portal. But the one Virtual Screen that I have, is a LOT sharper that the ones from Immersed. So then I can use Virtual Desktop both to stream PCVR games, but also to use as a virtual screen when I am working.
My 13-inch macbook displays a resolution of 1512*982. I can have higher, but due to the small screen, everything gets too small. But with Virtual Desktop, I get a super crisp 27-inch (comparable, I have one, so I have checked, the size is about that), at 2294x1490. Which is more than 50% higher in both width and height.
I have a Quest 3 however, not a Quest Pro.

Actually when it works its fine but it's also a bit of a mess where you can lose screens and not get them back; I haven't been able scan my keyboard and generally it's a bit of a shambolic mess. And this is with Quest 3. Uninstalled
Main question is WiFi always needed or can I run it with a cable?
Currently requires Wi-Fi but we're also working on a cabled version too.
It might be a stupid question but... how do you track your hands with this app? Do you need to buy some hardware that tracks your hands, or does the software track your hands?
The headset has cameras that can see your hands, and then our software does the hand tracking.

You can click the X button in the top bar of the screen you want to get rid of. Or you can remove the screen from the Immersed Desktop Agent

Why does everyone assume that a desktop or laptop would use wifi? I have all my desktops and laptops wired in with ethernet to get the fastest and most solid connection. All these implementations all want everything on wifi? Not being critical, just curious.
Wi-Fi was a design decision since the intent with standalone headsets was to go cordless. As the product has evolved, it has become clear we need to provide a cabled option for situations when wireless is not optimal for the user. So a tethered option is on the roadmap :)
Is it possible to use my bluetooth mouse in Immersed? My goal is to do programming in remote environment.
I'd like to use it for working, but I need VPN connection to be able to work and computer is blocking everything coming from the LAN. So is there another solution to reach the computer instead of wifi ?
Its easy and convincing to show the attributes, but try really working with it is not. No good focus for example using excel or reading. Keyboard use also not so nice etc etc. I feel there a lot more to improve to be comfortable

Still just more of a proof of concept than a viable tool. The quality of screens and technology does not yet allow for comfortable usage.

Not true. Been using my Quest 3. And it’s viable.
I see no WORK getting done. No one uses a Whiteboard at work. I want to see work getting done. Examples of VR increasing productivity. Bring it.

Tip #1 Don't get the Pico 4 cuz never getting a release :(
Tip #2, wait for USB connection support, and support for resolutions higher than 4K
I have been using Immersed on my Pico 4 for months. A few features are missing but it basically works.

Doesn't work at all, you can't even move or rotate the damn things correctly. Honestly these are the worst controlls since I started with VR, get it together.
