Excellent Introduction Søren - thank you! I would ask (and recommend) for future videos that you set the camera autofocus OFF. It will help reduce the distracting micro focus of the camera during the video, but again, thank you for the simple introduction to process mapping.
That's all well and good, but how do you visually represent a collaborative activity such as a document or design review including other representatives from e.g Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Shopping?
@@gluuTube ....plus, I never really liked the idea of a whole swim lanes, especially when young have a whole swimlane dedicated to one activity. It gets annoying on diagrams.when you don't have much space
That's a good question. Some choose to map the customer as its own role - especially if the customer has work to do in the process. Others chose just to show the person who is in contact with the customer and then interactions with customers as events. Hope that clarifies it?
@@gluuTube I see, If you can please highlight what can be different types of department/ people that this purchase will go thru..or if there is no defined business process that doesn't exists ? ...as I am new to business process model subject.
@@hikingtravelmemories the purchasing flow is fully depending on the business. It may involve managers and directors depending on the amount involved. This may help with some examples: www.gluu.biz/solutions/sourcing/
If you just want to draw a process, then any tool will do. If you want to make sure it becomes reality and impacts behaviors, then we would recommend our own software.
Great one!!!
Thank you
great way to learn! thank you!
Excellent Introduction Søren - thank you!

That's all well and good, but how do you visually represent a collaborative activity such as a document or design review including other representatives from e.g Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Shopping?
You're right - that is not covered in this simple approach. You may add more swimlanes to show these, or simply events about informing them.

Glad it was helpful!
Very informative, thanks a lot Søren
What kind of roles to be considered for customer making purchase order?
That's a good question. Some choose to map the customer as its own role - especially if the customer has work to do in the process. Others chose just to show the person who is in contact with the customer and then interactions with customers as events. Hope that clarifies it?

what software do you recommend?
If you just want to draw a process, then any tool will do. If you want to make sure it becomes reality and impacts behaviors, then we would recommend our own software.

Thankyou good sir
Nice presentation - but better Microphone sound :)
Yes, good legible voice but volume is low. An intelligent mike could've kept the voice volume even. But I thank you for a useful tutorial.
Good
Hey 👋🏼 thank u
The editing/transitions need some work 😉 good content though, very helpful 👌🏽
Thanks! (yes, we know it's a little rough :-) - it's made inhouse)
Booooooring
😂 yes, process mapping isn't exactly stand-up comedy.
Why do you need to have the competency in creating process flow chart?
You may not need it. However, if you work as a manager in company or organisation with more than 10 people then it may be very useful. Happy holidays!
