    Absolutely priceless video! I'm jealous of your workspace 💪 I just sprayed a room with Ultramax. First layer - lots of oversparay, second layer almost none. It's amazing what trial and error does. Thank you for you videos again they are amazing!

      Amazing! Airless sprayers are fantastic. Once you get to grips with them they are a pleasure to use!
      Yes alot of trial and error but once to get a few years behind you they are priceless!
      Definitely try and invest in one of the medium machines in the future though if you are doing lots of spraying 👍

    Another great video mate. I started with the corded ultra a year ago and already had the pump replaced under warranty. I wont be paying for it next time, hoping to upgrade to a gxff this year. Massive learning curve this spraying but well worth the results

    • @thelondoncraftsmanworkshop
      @thelondoncraftsmanworkshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are great machines but not built for lots of spraying, you can tell by the size of the pump. That being said, being able to replace the pump easily and not ridiculous price is a good thing.
      I reckon I'd choose the gx21 as the hopper is a but of a faff. I like dipping the inlet tube straight into the paint and away you go 👍

    Thanks for sharing! It is a surprise to hear that a sprayer costing £800+ is just an expensive 'weekend warrior' toy. I've worked with painters onsite, and they use absolute brutes of machines, that, as you say, are required to pump out gallons of paint day in and out.
    Funny, I remember one of the first tutorials of yours that I saw, and how I was struck by the wall to wall OSB. At the time, it seemed like an excellent, budget solution to walls, units and shelves.
    A recent visit to B and LongQ, left me open-mouthed, as even 11mm OSB was £30 a sheet. The last time I had to buy any, I paid only £11.

    Nice to see another tips video, if you aren't changing the power of the fans why not get some remote control sockets then have the remote near your sprayers to turn the fans on and off save having to turn off at socket

    I wonder if you could give me a bit of advice. I’ve recently purchased a Makita Plunge/Track saw and have experienced some kickback. Previously I’ve used a circular saw with a track adapter and never experienced this, what could I be doing wrong?

    A 695 is overkill for cabinets. Those sorts of pumps are designed for large quanties of paint as in 3.5ltrs a min and the tips you are using require 0.5 ltrs a min. I'm all for spending lots of money on tools but I don't think they have matched you up with the correct gear mate and mis sold them to you in a way. As in this case you've spent money on it being able to push more paint out rather than being a better quality pump for refinishing.
    Doing fine finish work like yourself your only using small tips, at low pressure and you want a refinishing pump with a nice amount of control. My first pump was a graco 595 bought from the same place as you 🙄 Not a bad pump, but the computer didn't like low pressure or shorter hoses. Plus I was using it to spray walls at the time so I needed something that could handle larger quantities.
    They obviously do the job for you but i feel you could be matched with something more appropriate especially with the cost of materials now, maybe look into a hopper fed pump and shorter lines, also Air Assisted Airless if you want to up your refinishing game.
    I enjoy your youtube channel mate and I've learnt from your vids so if you need advice on paints or refinishing let me know.

    Great video, quick question, do you ever tape up or cover your hinge holes on cabinet doors before you spray? Or do you find it doesn't make any difference to the fit so it isn't necessary?

    • @James26285
      @James26285 ปีที่แล้ว

      As long as you're not loading up the hinge holes with paint, it truly shouldn't matter. At most your going to get like 1/1000th inch build up

    Hi, thinking of buying a airless sprayer, do you have to thin down the paint 🎨

    • @thelondoncraftsmanworkshop

      Sorry for the late reply.
      Nope I never do, always unthinned. Try and get a graco, best and most reliable machines out there.

    What's the max amount of time you think you could leave paint in the gxff? could you leave it in there overnight to do a second coat the next day or do you clean everything out between coats?

    • @thelondoncraftsmanworkshop
      @thelondoncraftsmanworkshop  20 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Ahh I leave paint in my sprayers for weeks sometimes.
      I currently have paint in my gxff and it's been in there a week.
      As long as the paint is sealed off to the air (lid on hopper), put gun in water (tip only) and release the pressure on the machine, you'll be fine 👍
      It's not great practice to do it, but it should be fine

    Why do you use airless sprayer vs a compressor, say air spraying?

    • @thelondoncraftsmanworkshop
