Bill is right!! I had an F350 with a 6.0l. It took 15 quarts of oil every 5k miles. Fuel filter had to be changed every 10k miles. I had FICM (fuel control Mod) cost me $1,200.00 from for Ford to have it fixed. Tires were$1,000.00 it had 6 tires on it. My tags were $700.00 in Comi-fornia. So, I have to know what you're getting into.

Really appreciate all your advice. Wish I lived closer too your side of the world. I love Ford trucks! Been around them all my life. My family was into the citrus ranching from the late 20s- 80s. All Ford trucks from Model “A”s to F-600s. Even the tractors were Ford. Anyway I live on the left coast, own a pristine 2001 Ford Excursion with a 6.8 V-10. Been thinking of a conversion to a diesel. Need the horse power to pull a travel trailer across this great nation. The old Excursion is a great looking and running truck. I think better than a $90,000 new Ford. Just need to find out what it could cost to do the thing or if it can happen with big bucks. Decision decision! Thanks for your time..
I have an 05 f250 XL. Not the prettiest truck but she is still clean. I'd love to bring my truck up to get the lifetime bullet proof done to it. You just don't find trucks like these anymore. It has a little over 348,000 miles on her.
I would rather buy one of your bullet proof trucks that are 10 years old for $30,000 then a new pos for $100,000 that might last a year without problems.
I got a long bed F350, 2WD 2006 with 6.0 in 2015 on a oil field auction, $1,500. two batteries and it fired right up. had it bullet proofed. another $4,500 get around 35-40 mpg. It's got some dings, no bells or whistles great work truck. I you take care of them they run forever.
