Despite those that complain about the display, outdated design and single camera lens, my hot take is that the SE3 is the perfect budget phone. Because it gives you the same core experience and everything just works well. And it never hurts saving yourself hundreds of dollars too.

I just downgraded from the 14 Plus to the SE 3rd generation. Honestly, the SE is a great budget phone and if you have an iPad or a MAC, you don’t need an expensive phone. If you need more screen just use the IPad or MAC.

All people really want (probably 75/80% of users) a phone for is making calls, taking the odd video/photos, searching social media, and sending texts so why spend over $1000 when the SE does the job just as well.

One of the BEST reviews I’ve found so far!!! Thank you so much!!! I just got the SE 2023 2 -days ago and I’m very happy with my purchase. I first went to T-Mobile and they charge a setup fee/activation fee of $35 just to set up a new phone. I later went to Walmart and no set up fee and their iPhones are on special for $200 less. I paid $300 plus tax for a black iPhone SE 2023 with 128 gigs of storage for a brand new iPhone. I had a iPhone 6 Plus that just started glitching so bad that it became obsolete. I’m happy I didn’t have to spend $800+ for a brand new iPhone. I just needed a phone that worked. Now, I’m looking forward to getting the next brand new iPhone in 2024. I’ll keep this one for about a year or so and it will become my back up phone if anything happens to the next one which might be the iPhone 16 Pro Max. We’ll see. For now,I am happy with the purchase and more than anything, the price!!! I haven’t had issues with the battery yet, but I always carry a portable charger with me anyhow. Low battery gives me anxiety. You never know when you might be in an emergency situation.

There's a lot of things if could be besides the OLED screen as well... I mean data shows OLED is better on the eyes because it can shut off pixels and get true blacks, not to mention it just emits less blue light in general than lcd. Idk what it could be but I wouldn't be to quick to blame the OLED until you find out something for sure. OLED is generally much better on sensitive eyes so I'm not sure what it is

I read that the 11 will update until 2026 while the se 2 until 2027 so that was my personal deciding factor to go with the se. Upgrading from the 7 plus that has barely any battery life left. I’ve a warning about it for some time 🥴 so being on a budget the se will hopefully get me by for 2-3 years.

An SE Plus would be their best seller. That’s why. It’s very sad they didn’t do it. An SE 4 based on the iPhone 11 would be amazing, but I find it unlikely that will happen because they have stopped producing it. So very questionable they’d get the supply chain up again. And it would attract users who now, after the launch of the 15, are buying the 13 and compete with it.

I have the SE 3, the size is perfect, I love touch ID, and it has an A15, what else do you want, it's so cheap and amazing. I don't use my phone as a main device, I use it for messaging, youtube sometimes, and reminders. I am an audio and video producer, so I mainly do everything on my computer, I also have an iPad 9th gen, it's also the cheaper in the line up, and it can handle everything I throw at it, it's my main device, i do a lot of multitasking, I take notes with the Apple Pencil, I pair it with a keyboard and a mouse to use as a laptop when I'm out of home, because I hate laptops form factor lol. Going back to the SE, I've had it since a little bit after launch, it's been more than a year and it has never let me down, it always works perfectly, fluently, and also, 64 GB has been more than enough for me, it's a beast! The only downside as it is an smaller phone is the battery, it lasts about a day/ day and a half depending on your use. So if you are someone who is on their phone 24/7 maybe you can use another option. Other than that THE SE is great. Phones nowadays are so overrated because even cheaper Android phones can do the basic and really necessary stuff amazingly, even some of them having great cameras, so i think people should invest their money on a actually useful workstations like an iPad a Laptot or a Desktop. Phones are not that useful tbh.

Small, powerful well built and extremely efiicient. It helps me curb my urge to browse to unwanted media and keeps me productive. The tocuh ID I still feel is lot more secure and easy to use. The silver lining is the cost of repair for the phone in authorized apple repair is extremely affordable.
