Agents J and K are back...in time. J has seen some inexplicable things in his 15 years with the Men in Black, but nothing, not even aliens, perplexes him as much as his wry, reticent partner. Even though he was given a warning about the time, I think he still wasn’t fully prepared for the cops to be that blatant about it, yet the fact that he wasn’t shocked or that phased about it in the slightest… kinda goes to show that he’s still used to this general type of scenario. if you think it about it, they are distracted enough that between the time he tells them to push the button and them pushing the button, he has plenty of time to reach into his coat pocket with his right hand and put the shades on without them noticing. also neither of his hands were restrained in any way.

If you’ve watched the movie, then you’ll know that J was there when Boris and K interacted originally in 1969, when K arrested Boris.
J was the little kid whose dad got unalived by Boris. Turns out K knew J ever since he was a kid which is why K invites J to become part of the MIB in the future. It really ties everything together.
I am not going to lie, after watching this if I was a cop I would find a white partner and be like Will Smith we got to pull him over and ask does he still play for the Detroit Darkes.

Very close to ending where K spoke to young J about his father.
I think it was when Griffin showed J and K how he views alternate timelines. It's possible with J being from another time, this had an effect on him, but not on K.
Because only people that were there before Boris the Animal looped back and changed time, but weren't there after the events changed would remember K alive.
That means J (as an adult watching the encounter and his child self getting neuralized)
So O remembers he died.

its not about the skin color, its never been about the skin color. Its about the race, the skin color is just a race identifier. Cops know theres a far larger chance that the person of color will either have drugs, be wanted for a crime, be armed, is prone to violence and excels at thinking they're clever when they're actually dumb as a stump.
