I thought Cap's scene crashing in on Loki and referencing Hitler was good. Especially with the old man standing up to him just made it all the better. With how old the guy looked and the timeline of everything he could have been a child when all that went on.
These non scripted lines and acting is what makes the original movies so good. RDJ character fits perfectly, and gives a more comedy tone to what otherwise could be a very hard drama. The one scene that they should have kept was when he dies in End game and all the avengers, including Thor (a god) kneel to show their last respect as he saved the universe.

As someone that's followed Robert's career since we were both young, he's always thrown in improvised bits. He's just so naturally skilled at getting into and understanding the character he's playing, he can pull these little moments off and they fit so perfectly.

So he’s posed in such a way that his hand covers his facial hair which had grown out science filming avengers but couldn’t be shaved.

when you have a great actor and the realisation has the freedom and the gut to "play" with it and let him do his thing, it can creates miracles. For that you need a great cast, that works together and finds that alchemy, you need a production that let´s them impersonate the characters and play with it, you also need a story that allows it. We are lucky all was there for these MCU series of film.
They could have re-shot the "I am Iron Man" scene and kept 2 alternate versions of the ending for us to discover in the dvd/BR release. This kind of improv has huge concequences for the plot and the production itself. RD Jr took a million gamble on the spot. The credits goes to the writters because they are the ones supposed to build the story around this drastic change.
This is the reason why the original avengers was amazing. The story can be a bit crappy but the cast embodied the characters so much and did justice to our beloved characters.
I'd like to argue the best part in Age of Ultron was after Tony takes out all the guards & says "Well this was fun" one of the guards in pain responds with "No it wasn't"

From the scuttle i heard, before Iron Man rdj wasnt having a great time. Respected by his peers, battled his demons, but wasnt where he thought he should be. He saw a comic book movie and muttered under his breath, "I can do that." Yes, yes he did. I like to think i have a lot in common with Robert. Im taller and have a deeper voice, we are both consumate improvisors, but we come from a similar place. I never want to meet him--never meet your heros--but he is an absolute inspiration.
From what I've heard about him in real life, he is fairly down to Earth as a person. Battling drug addiction and being in prison can be a character builder. Not much time for egos when you are battling your low points.

For that you need a great cast, that works together and finds that alchemy, you need a production that let´s them impersonate the characters and play with it, you also need a story that allows it.
We are lucky all was there for these MCU series of film.

They could have re-shot the "I am Iron Man" scene and kept 2 alternate versions of the ending for us to discover in the dvd/BR release.
This kind of improv has huge concequences for the plot and the production itself. RD Jr took a million gamble on the spot.
The credits goes to the writters because they are the ones supposed to build the story around this drastic change.
This is the reason why the original avengers was amazing. The story can be a bit crappy but the cast embodied the characters so much and did justice to our beloved characters.
The part where Tony has blueberries was actually included as free roam quest in the Lego Avengers game.
I'd like to argue the best part in Age of Ultron was after Tony takes out all the guards & says "Well this was fun" one of the guards in pain responds with "No it wasn't"
You forgot to add that Evans had a massive facial prosthetic to cover up the beard that he had grown for Snowpiercer in that shawarma aftershot scene....

From the scuttle i heard, before Iron Man rdj wasnt having a great time. Respected by his peers, battled his demons, but wasnt where he thought he should be. He saw a comic book movie and muttered under his breath, "I can do that."

I like to think i have a lot in common with Robert. Im taller and have a deeper voice, we are both consumate improvisors, but we come from a similar place. I never want to meet him--never meet your heros--but he is an absolute inspiration.
From what I've heard about him in real life, he is fairly down to Earth as a person. Battling drug addiction and being in prison can be a character builder. Not much time for egos when you are battling your low points.

He also went off script at the end of the first Iron Man when he said “I am Iron Man” you can tell by how the crowed reacted they didn’t expect him to say that. They had to run with it since it was on live TV. Years later you can see it turned out to be a success.
Robert Downey Jr brings LIFE to his characters! That's why we love his performance as Tony Stark. It is too bad that we never got to see a Ryan Reynolds vs RDJ on screen in the MCU. Maybe this might be something possible for the Multiverse? Like John Krasinski as Mr Fantastic.
I was SO YOUNG when Iron Man first came out. I didn't know as a kid why Iron Man became my favorite at the time. As I got older I understood it's RDJ
I love all of his improvised lines. I think what makes me love them is bcs all of them lines are what makes him more human rather than just a genius superhero being. I get it why most ppl are convinced RDJ is being paid to play himself. It's somehow very difficult to differentiate btw Tony Stark and RDJ
