Fun Fact: Robert Downey Jr hide in the set snacks from when he was bored, the staff couldn't stop him from doing it so they let him keep the snacks... When he offer Bruce and captain the blueberries, it was because he was bored
"What does Fury want me to do, swallow it?" is still one of my favorite Bruce Banner lines of all time. I love Avengers 1's take on Banner as a sardonic, jaded person who's this odd mix of self-assured and self-loathing.
the problem with having bruce banner as a character is that hes incredibly polarising, he's either the biggest threat of whatever media hes in or a complete joke, its difficult to land the sweet spot with him and while the avengers (being one of my favourite movies) did a good job at taking him to a unique place i can tell that it would have gotten old quickly and left little for his character to go
Loki: ENOUGH!! I am a GOD! and I will not be bullied by some BIG...!! Que Hulk throwing him around: "BANG!! BANG!! BANG!!" walks off. "Puny god" Loki: *Pained groans*
i think it fit because every character joked within their characterization. Tony was dry and snarky. Cap was straightforward and pretty old-fashioned. Thor was.. Shakespearean. The only instance of "ermm he's right behind me isn't he?" you'd get from the MCU during that time was probably from star lord and that fit too cuz his characterization was that he was kind of an idiot. Then everything kinda fell apart with the Spider-Man films and the second Ant-Man film onwards. then it became "uuhrrmmm aawwkkwarddd"
@@arycogito Star Lord was never and idiot, he was just a guy who never got to be a kid, and thus never really grew up, in fact he's the leader of the guardians.
Despite how iconic and hilarious the scene at 10:53 is, I think this actually does a nice job at showing how much leader material Cap is made of. Despite only knowing Hulk for a little bit, he was able to learn the best way to communicate with him without making Hulk upset or enraged.
It was also an excellent order in itself. Guiding Hulk to fight away from ground level not only draws enemy attention away from people trying to evacuate and helps out the only two original Avengers who can fly, but also reduces the chances of Hulk injuring bystanders by mistake.

The Avengers films have a lot of great comedic moments but if you watched this movie in a theater, you'd remember how hard the crowd laughed at Hulk throwing Loki around.
Fun Fact: During the shwarma scene, the reason Cap isnt eating is because he was working on the Snowpiercer movie at the time so he had a full beard going. he was wearing a prosthetic jaw to hide it, but it looked terrible and he couldnt eat while wearing it so thats why hes sitting there looking bored. (It was also filmed in LA)
The humour in this film was top notch, it just feels so natural and unforced, it often works with the scenes and doesn't ruin the tension. You can tell where Robert Downey Jr carries the film's humour, allowing the other characters to still be serious in these scenes.
The scene where Banner rocks the cradle while he says "Well, I don't every time get what I want" breaks my heart. He knows that even if he is fertile, there's probably no woman who could survive the pregnancy, assuming the fetus inherited some form of his abilities.

In retrospect it feels like it was a subtle call out to the comic where Betty passed away from radiation sickness while presumably expecting. Though being Ross was still around I can't imagine Betty died in the MCU following Incredible Hulk. So perhaps more indicative of how he's going to be alone without someone he can live alongside of and build a life together. Not mourning a person but mourning a dream.

Coleson was so happy that he was standing next to Captain America! His vintage set! Why did he have to die!!!!
But…he didn’t really die.
Go watch agents of shield now!!
He did but he didn't, I suggest watching Agents of Shield
Son of Coul lives.

The Avengers films have a lot of great comedic moments but if you watched this movie in a theater, you'd remember how hard the crowd laughed at Hulk throwing Loki around.
This should be at least 10 hours long considering that all the movies have a joke in it everytime somebody talks
@Blue The Velociraptor just cause something ain’t funny to you doesn’t mean it isn’t for everyone else
@@Platinum199 it isn't for everyone else tho
@@nickpenaranda725 nothing is for everyone else, there’s nothing that everyone in the world likes. Most people enjoy the jokes
@@Platinum199 correction: most mcu fans
@@nickpenaranda725 some of my friends that aren’t even fans of the MCU enjoy them, I don’t think it’s just MCU fans lmao.
Loki: "I have an army"
Stark: "We have a hulk"
*Me: "And I have parents"*

“and you pissed off one other person…his name is phil”
lolol

Me, who doesn't know what he's talking about: 7:55.

No matter how many times I see Hulk slam Loki around like a rag doll, I'll never get tired of it
The humour in this film was top notch, it just feels so natural and unforced, it often works with the scenes and doesn't ruin the tension. You can tell where Robert Downey Jr carries the film's humour, allowing the other characters to still be serious in these scenes.
Tony: "His first name is agent."
Also Tony: "Why is he 'Phil'?"
The scene where Banner rocks the cradle while he says "Well, I don't every time get what I want" breaks my heart. He knows that even if he is fertile, there's probably no woman who could survive the pregnancy, assuming the fetus inherited some form of his abilities.
i had a stroke reading this
@@billyle1597 I'm sorry. Compound sentences difficult for you?

Breaks my heart! ❤️🥺😭
RDJ: How does Fury even see this?
Hill: He Turns.

Thor: “He’s my brother”
Black Widow: “He killed 80 people in 2 days”
Thor: “…..he’s adopted”
If Thor can charge Tony's suit to 400%, why doesn't he do it again? Tony's always losing power, so why not keep him charged with lightning?
he does, as a combo move
Endgame??????
There is such a thing as _overcharging_ you know. Anyways, Thor charged Tony's suit in Endgame when they fought Thanos
If he doesn't it too much it could fry his circuits

Black Widow acknowledging Tony’s statement about being a genius billionaire playboy philanthropist, makes it 10x worth it.
"I recognize that the council has made a decision, but given that it's a stupid ass decision, I've elected to ignore it." Best line hands down
Steve over here straight up calling Stark Tower ugly, i’m proud of him and feel bad for him at the same time.
12:43 I've always wondered if they're in an awkward silence or a comfortable silence.
Same
From their body language it seems a bit closer to the latter, but then again I'm not great at reading social cues
Comfortable. They're just in shock so they're not talking
Should be "exhausted, comfortable silence."
11:05 "And he didn't invite me"
9:13 u got the glowstick of destiny lmaooo
"It seems to run on some form of electricity."
"Well, you're not wrong."
10 years have passed and now finally i look back at the sci-fi tech in this movie and its finally starting to get 2000s' and 90s' level of goofy tech and i love it, i love getting old.
Literally one of the best marvel movies!
Yea, I liked the humour in this one.
"Super heroes in newyork? Give me a break!"
Meanwhile literally every universe has heroes..

😂 I love his cameos
4:32 looking at this scene now makes me think if he designed the rest of his suits like that to do more output like he did in endgame
11:33 is the best part in the entire movie 😂
