So the Dredge is the manifestation of pure Darkness and negative emotion and thoughts.... where the Unknown is manifestation of alleged fucked up shit that may or may not have happened to people
I actually have a personal headcanon that it is a sort of ambassador for the entity regarding its implied lore. It can take shape and alter itself to whoever it chooses as its next victim, as if it was the clay of a malevolent force. It draws people in, and it makes them dissapear. But now the entity has granted the thing its own personal playground to play with them for all eternity. Or maybe, it could even be the entity itself. Wanting to participate in on its own fun with the rumors it helped start.
It sounds dramatic, like someone very close to entity is born and is being controlled. It reminds me of undeads. Anyway, i like it, i would have added maybe a violin to insert the void in the vibes
