Actually the 17cm was designed to counter battery the Russian heavy artillery guns, massively outranges the 21cm, while delivering only a slightly smaller payload. The German army paused production of the 21cm to produce those 17cm artillery
with the 7.5cm the difference is not early v late. The first two have a smaller gun shield and such as they are Gebirgs aka mountain guns, so they're cut down and lighter for easier transport in mountains, where as the IG with the larger shield is the standard infantry support gun, both used from start to end of the war.
Good guide! Wish you would have included the SPGs as well like the Brumbar, Sturmtiger, Hummel, Wespe, Walking Stuka, Panzerwerfer, etc. Maybe those can have their own guide? Would love to hear how they are compared to their nonmobile counterparts
The 105mm LeFH takes pretty much no ammo. I usually have them attack ground the whole game and by the end of a round in conquest the ammo truck still has like 50% ammo left. Two or three of those can do some pretty crazy damage.
I find the ranges in which Artillery can shoot in this game a bit weird, but I suppose it has balancing reasons to limit the ranges of these guns to such an extent, right?

Good to know very cool piece of info thanks good Sir
Sucks you have to research the 21cm to get the 17cm, but historically it makes sense

Yeah blance it would be better if we had bigger maps and larger ranges tho
How do you load different ammo whilst controlling the units? I usually have to exit that mode to change rounds and it’s quite the hassle
Space bar buddy
Classic Sir Jelly Bean content!
